If you're a fan of 'The Traitors' you'll definitely get a kick out of this, it's very faithful (pardon the pun) to the show. And while it's fun to be thrust into the action, it definitely has a couple of major flaws. Firstly, there are twenty one characters whose names, occupation and age we are given and that is as close as you'll ever get to a relationship with any of them. It's impossible to remember who you've had conversations with and you just never feel any bond or real suspicion regarding anyone as they're very cardboard cutout like. The second issue is you're never going to participate in any of the challenges as they require a whole host of players (however I think they could be fun if you pulled the book out during a party etc and ignored the story and played some). It's not a big deal to the overall experience though as the book is 312 pages so there is more than enough meat when it comes to the actual story, decision making and psychological side of things. If you're a Traitors superfan (as I am) I'd say pick this up as for anyone else I don't see much here for you.

Fun to play but the games need other people to play them, which I found odd for a book.

This is a fun interactive game where it’s endless, as you can answer different ways which means no matter the amount you go through and different answers you give you can have different outcomes, the first time round I was murdered and then I was banished and now I seeing for the third time what happens to me.

This book also has a load of missions and games you can play with friends and family, I love the tv series and found this book super fun and I will definitely keep going back to it to play.

Great interactive book for all but especially those who enjoy the tv series.

It took me 4 attempts to get to the end of this and I still lost to a traitor!
After 2 attempts at day 2 resulting in being murdered I started to think I wasn't very good at this, on the 3rd attempt I got through but murdered again after day 3. Attempt 4 gave me a very good running there was a few moment where I thought id pushed it too far but got right to the end but the last decision was the wrong one.
The only thing I wasn't keen on was the bonus games and missions being multi person so when going through the story on your own I had to skip through the games.

I was really loving this book until I became a traitor. When I was due to be banished I had to say I was a faithful which was wrong. So I looked at the other direction and Rakayah was a faithful but when they get banished they said they are a traitor. So in conclusion this book won't work out correctly. Very disappointed

Would be better if there were more consequences for decisions throughout the day, though I appreciate the size of the book could easily quadruple. Generally well written, with handy “try the day again from page xx” if you get banished or murdered. I kept a written record of some decisions so I didn’t have to go through a whole day’s worth of pages.

Disappointed. There’s a mistake in this book that takes you from Day Three to Day Eleven and reveals who one of the traitors is. Should have been picked up by editing. Sloppy.

This book was wicked. Kept you on your toes as you moved from page to page. But finally got to the end and found all the traitors! We won!

FULL REVIEW ON MY WEBSITE

I need to admit something here before we start this review. I hate reality shows, and “The Traitors” is the only reality shows I actually enjoyed and watched front to back. And when I saw that this book being released in knew I had to buy and read this book. With that being said, lets review this book.

I had a a fair share of fun with this book, even thou I wasn’t the biggest fan of this book. Because the reality that I’m the type of person who hates reality shows really quickly caught up to me when I was reading this book. And I would get bored and uninterested with this book as I was reading it. Which of course didn’t surprised me because I don’t know what I was expecting getting into this book knowing my hate towards anything involving reality shows.

This book is very faithful to the main reality show, but I personally had hard time following which who the characters were and remembering who was who in this book. Because I really didn’t give a shit about the other characters in this book which more or less made this book less fun in a way.

In this book we get those generic reality shows characters, the old retired lady, the jock, the plastic barbie with no brain cells, the smart girl, the introvert girl, the motorcycle guy, the freelance guy, you know the rest pretty much. As I’ve said above I had a hard time remember who was who in this book because I didn’t remember the names but rather used the nicknames I had for them.

I had a really hard time remembering who I had conversions with in this book, and who did what in this book. Because this book didn’t gives us the big suspense or the bond to other players which the show did, which was the main disappointment I had about this book.

However this book gives the psychological warfare which I really liked, because you have to think what to need to chose to not get kicked out off the game or not bet murdered by the traitors or not get suspected by the faithful if you are the traitor. I personally love the psychological aspect of mystery / horror of novels / shows / movies which of course made me like this book more for that aspect of this book.

But I need to admit that it took a awhile to finish this book because I would take those long breaks from it since there were many times where I would get bored of this book. And I really didn’t want to DNF it so I just waited a few days before getting back to the book to continue reading it.
