This is a Medical Romance, and this is the first book in the Buenos Aires Docs series. I loved the writing in this book, and I could really feel what the characters were feeling. I loved the characters in this book. I also loved this book shows how hard IVF/fertility is on a couple. I had fertility and it is emotionally draining and so hard. I really enjoyed reading this book. The one thing I did not love was the fact the characters did not really talk to each other, and that drives me crazy. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
"ER Doc's Miracle Triplets" by Tina Beckett is a heartwarming and emotionally charged tale that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you cheering for love against all odds. Set in the fast-paced world of the emergency room, Beckett takes readers on a captivating journey of love, loss, and second chances. Beckett's masterful storytelling and vivid character development draw readers in from the first page, immersing them in Harper and Jared's world and making them feel every emotion. From the tender bonding moments between Harper and the babies to the sizzling chemistry between Harper and Jared, every scene is infused with depth and authenticity, making the characters feel like old friends. But what truly sets "ER Doc's Miracle Triplets" apart is its message of resilience and hope in adversity. Through Harper and Jared's journey, Beckett reminds us that even in our darkest moments, we can always find light and love if we are willing to open our hearts and leap of faith.
That’s what I kept thinking throughout this book and I got more and more annoyed that they didn’t. An honest conversation when Seb returned from Africa would have sorted out their problems but no, they stayed silent and therefore inflicted pain on one another.
This did not make sense to me because they were a married couple and ought to have been long past that stage when you’re reluctant to open up unless the other person does.
I’m afraid I really dislike the ‘miscommunication’ trope. I found Seb and Bella’s continual negative assumptions about what each other wanted, utterly frustrating.
The author writes well but this story was simply not my cup of tea.
This first book in the Buenos Aires Docs series deals with the emotional pressure on a couple trying to have a family and what happens when what they both want most happens. It focuses on miscommunication and misunderstanding in relationships. I like the couple, and their connection is believable. I like the setting in Buenos Aires and the epilogue's happy ending.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
Miscommunication drives me crazy in any fictional romance and this one had it in spades but it was still enjoyable. A second chance story about an estranged married couple who undergo the trials of becoming a family with IVF only to finally get their dream. Cute story with adorable babies.
Note: I originally posted this review on April 21st on GR but somehow it got deleted for whatever reason.
This is a poignant romance set in an emergency room. It follows Harper and Jared as they navigate love, loss, and second chances. Beckett's engaging storytelling and well-developed characters make readers deeply connect with the narrative. The story is rich with tender moments, palpable chemistry, and an overarching theme of resilience and hope, emphasizing that light and love can be found even in the darkest times if one is willing to take a leap of faith.
