Forty-Six Stories in Classical Greek provides adapted passages from classical authors in increasing levels of difficulty, and each passage highlights a grammatical subject in the corresponding textbook, From Alpha to Omega, with which this reader is best enjoyed. Why? Since there is virtually no review of grammar in these pages. No matter how zany or tricksy a verb form may be, if it has been mentioned at some point before the corresponding textbook chapter, it will not be glossed here. Nor will a difficult grammatical subject, such as conditionals, have even the slightest modicum of extra help in the passages on conditionals.

If you don't need more help than this book provides, your Greek may be better served by longer, unadapted texts. If you do, you will win your additional aid (along with extra adapted texts) in From Alpha to Omega.

Great little book! I wanted to get accessible exposure to classical Greek (coming from Koine Greek) and this was gifted to me. It gave me the perfect opportunity. I had to get used to the different style, but the book was well structured to make the transition feasible. For one of the readings, I looked at the original text, and I was surprised to see that it was very close the practice reading. Overall I would recommend it.
