After making love to her in his car, he was brutally attacked by her sadistic boyfriend Rafael, a criminal who abuses Marisol and forces her to help him sell heroin.

Once Devlin Bane recovers, he sets out on a mission to free the love of his life from the clutches of a life of poverty and crime so they can be together.

See my review for "Eyes," the first book in this two book serialization. Book #2 starts with billionaire in the hospital from severe beating, worried about his girlfriend. This book was not as good as Book #1. We learn most of the life story of the Puerto Rican sales clerk and its not pretty. There is a little cloak and dagger action but not nearly enough story to draw you into caring much about the end. And, unless I missed it somewhere, the biggest question and the reason our billionaire cared so much was never answered

The chemistry between Devlin and Marisol was explosive...

Love this book. It was written so well I could visualize it as if it were a movie. Devlin was HOT and the chemistry between him and Marisol was explosive. The sex was HOT! I read this book cover to cover. It captured my attention from the very fast page and by the end I could’ve used a smoke. I loved Devlin’s intense sense of loyalty to Marisol and her children. I only wished we could actually see what happened to Rafael, but at the same time, I wouldn’t want anything to jeopardize Devlin’s and Marisol’s happiness. I just wish there was more story between Devlin and Marisol, this series barely wet my appetite for these characters, definitely would love to see more of them.
