We went to Erin Taylor’s book review for Haunted Leadville at The Bookworm and I picked up this book hoping to be creeped out and thoroughly entertained. Unfortunately, the book was a bunch of poorly written (typos! grammar! rambling / unclear timelines) short stories. The formula: they hear of a haunting / cryptid, they go explore (many times without doing necessary prep), they randomly talk to people “in the know” with no plan for info they want / need, they explore a little bit (usually only a few hours or a night), they find nothing & chalk it up to bad timing, they leave, still believing in the legend.

Not at all what I was expecting. I thought this book would contain in depth information in regard to strange Colorado. Instead, it’s more like a diary or recounting of ghost hunts the author took with her team. Spoiler alert: nothing is ever found. There are grammatical errors through the book and I was left wanting more. Sadly, I would not recommend this book.
