Stranded in the middle of nowhere, you have to fight to survive!
When the bus carrying a group of kids home from summer camp breaks down on an abandoned road during a heatwave, things go from bad to worse very quickly. There's nobody around to help. Sixty miles back the way they came in camp. Sixty miles the opposite direction is the highway. Neither direction is the source of much hope. With no way to call for help, this group must ride it out and survive the elements. Will they make it through?
This book has a lot of bone chilling twists and turns. The plot of the story is really fascinating and will have you hooked to the book before the first chapter is over. The book is really informal and teaches you a lot of helpful tips that you may need sometime during your life. This book can be read by readers of all ages. I personally think this is one of the best books that the author has written and by far this is the best book in the ¨I Survived ¨ series . This book will really make you realize all of the things you may take for granted in life. I would personally recommend this book to everyone I know that has an interest in thriller books.
I would suggest this book for everyone and older kids can read it. It is a quick read that ypu can finish in a couple of hours. This is also a good book for beginners.
It is about a group of campers trying to survive a blackout. There's are a lot of thrilling things that happened in this book. Some are kind of violent because of the man vs. nature conflict. Unfortunately, the ending is kind of unfinished and the story is rushed.

Breakdown is about a group of kids at a camp and the camp leader take their camp van and try to drive it down to the highway. The van breakdown 60 miles from the highway! They are left on an old abandoned dirt road. They have no way of getting back to the camp without a car.
Weirdly abrupt ending! It felt like the last chapter was missing. Kind of dark for something aimed at 5th graders - I mean, that moose attack? Brutal. But otherwise a perfectly enjoyable kids' survival adventure.
Another good one in this series. Starting to become a bit predictable as they always kill off any adults and usually one kid. Great survival tips included with the narrative. Best for grades 4-8.
