Steady and Strong truly not only describes the individual characters in this story, but the love that develops between these three as they are first business partners, then friends before they take that leap into lovers. I loved getting to know Conor, Harper, and Luca, and experiencing their love as they got to know one another as well. Conor is a loving, broken, caring, and devoted alpha that has spent so many years with a crippling fear of the future that has held him back from a loving relationship; when he finally allowed himself to open his heart to his lovers, he became the strong and balanced man he was always destined to be. Luca is a man that has never doubted the love of his family or his own fate in the world, but when his groundwork is rocked a bit, he goes with the flow and opens his mind and heart to allow for Conor and Harper to lead him into a world that is even more filled with laughter, love and fulfillment. His strength and passion are a perfect foil for the fears and pain that his lovers have face in their past and give their triad the strong foundation they need to move forward. Harper is a sassy and sunshiny woman that has decided its time to make a change, and gone through with it without a backward glance, but meeting Luca and Conor definitely lead her to take even more chances and she never regrets it’s for a second. The passion and pull between these three is apparent in the tension and chemistry from the very second, they are together, but the heat really takes off when they all begin to understand the emotions that have been hidden for years and there is no putting out that fire. I am dying for the next book (Kiss and Tell), and I am hoping that more come in the series after that, or maybe another series afterward. Mari Carr Is truly one of the best erotic romance authors I have ever had the pleasure of reading, intermingling sensuality, emotion, drama, and love in a way that leaves you wishing for more every time.

Mari Carr is a new author to me. I have heard some good things about her books I wanted to check her out myself and I was not disappointed!

Steady & Strong is a ménage love story between Luca, Conor and Harper and this audiobook gives you all three POV
Which I’ve found can really bring a story to life and this was also the case with this book. It made me completely immersed and addicted to the story and each of the character's personalities and their stories, past, present and future. It was beautifully written, spicy AF and

it also held a lot of depth and I got to see them build trust as their relationship progressed and they became more vulnerable with each other then add in the delicious spice and this love story is perfection!


I can’t wait to read more of this author's work, I’m so glad I signed up and took a chance!

The final Russo falls, and like the others, there was a lot of baggage poor Conor has been carrying around. The good news is, because he is the last Russo to face his demons, his brothers are there for him when he needs them most. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, because Luca and Conor have history, and attraction, though it takes a poke for Luca to realize it. Throw in former model Harper, and these three by-pass any semblance of slow, and are building a relationship before they even realize it. So hot, so emotional, so many moments that mean the world to them, all packed together, and a fast-track to their HEA <3

STEADY AND STRONG by Mari Carr is the seventh in her oh so delicious Italian Stallions series. Conor Russo and Harper Branson and Luca Moretti come to be business partners of sorts. Businessman and restauranteur Conor and former model turned chef Harper plan to open a new place that Luca and his family are working to build…. When their working conversations turn to friendship and more, it’s more than a dream come true.

Mari Carr’s story is beautifully written and scorchingly hot. Conor and Harper and Luca have some issues to face down, and it’s a real pleasure to see them come to recognize how well they can do that together, and to watch them build trust as they become more able to be vulnerable with each other. Absolutely loved this addition to this fantastic series. Seeing the rest of the Morettis and Russos is icing on this scrumptious cake.

Wow! Luca, Harper and Conor were steady, strong and totally hot together. I loved everything about their relationship and how in tune they were with one another throughout this book. Wonderful storytelling from author Mari Carr with witty dialogue, emotional scenes that will give you all the feels and super hot sex scenes just how I like them. Another great story in the Italian Stallions series.

This time we have Luca Moretti, Conner Russo (youngest Russo brother after Matt and Gage), and Harper Branson, former supermodel now restaurant co-owner (with Conner) & chef.

Love, love loved what Luca did for winning the bet for Harper *and* Conner.

Oooo this "history" with Conner and Luca - ahhhh. And once they get together...hot and delightful as only Mari Carr can do!

Even from the cover, this book was perfect. It was like seeing puzzle pieces come together to complete a picture when these three came together. They each were looking for acceptance, family and overall love to watch them slowly receive it was beautiful. Yes, these books are steamy but have so much more that my cup is overflowing.

I am loving this series! Each subsequent book that comes out I love more than the previous one.

This book I liked the three main characters (Harper, Conor and Luca) so much they felt like more than characters in a story but like “Book Friends”!

So much is packed into this book you don’t want to miss the journey of our three characters to their HEA.

This book can be read as a standalone but complements the other books in the series very nicely.

Another Amazing Italian Stallions Novel & Listen🎧

Mari Carr does it again and pens another winning novel set in one of my favorite series, her “Italian Stallions” series. There is so much to love about this series, the characters, their storylines, the heat and the heart and this seventh book has all that and then some. This book brings another Russo and Moretti together, Conor has a new business venture with Harper, a newly retired supermodel, who is opening up a new restaurant with him, and Conor hired Luca Morretti to renovate the building they bought. Harper’s first in person meeting with both Conor and Luca happens just as the fire department was putting out a fire, the first of several setbacks. She was a trooper about it all and the three went out as planned, and she senses a tension between Conor and Luca, and soon realizes what it was. I adored these three characters, Harper was down to earth, Conor, more uptight, battled his own personal demons and the confident and swoon worthy Luca. Conor crushed on Luca for years, and once Luca was on board, it was smooth sailing, and Harper was the glue that brought them all together. It was great to watch these three get to know each other and navigate their relationship, morphing from a business relationship to something so much more. There is never a dull moment in this book and as with all her books, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. I love how far the Russos and Morettis have come since putting their families’ vendetta to rest. Mari Carr, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.  

🎧📚🎧  Theo Sinclair, Marina Barrett and Oliver Highpoint deliver and outstanding performance, bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting. I loved how they took each role and made it their own sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These three made a great team, their voices complement each other and their performance elevates this already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Yay for finally getting the last brother of the trifecta and he is the most conflicted of the bunch! I wanted to squeeze him so bad, and also shake/slap him too with his lack of communication, freak out of commitment/being accepted, and running away instead of talking it out. He has a lot of past trauma (besides his mom) so I can understand his reticence for going all in with both of his lovers.

I really enjoyed the storyline of this one more than the steam haha. I loved the cooking and restaurant aspect, Harper trying out her foods on the guys. Enjoyed the way the group came together, even if it was bumpy. I like Luca's personality and the surprises from Conor were great! I liked seeing the dynamics between them shift as they got more comfortable with each other. I felt for Conor like I did for Matt in the previous book. Their dad and the death of their mom really did a number on them that impacts their love life so hard until they confront it and exorcise their demons. I also felt for Conor with his rejection as a kid of Luca, and Luca had no clue how he felt. Wanted to hug Conor so hard. I appreciate the sexy scenes in this one too, the way each one explored something about themselves, the self-discovery, was a lot of fun. I loved a bi-awakening/GFY character/love connection and this one was done really well. Love me some M/M too hehehe.

The baddie was easy to figure out, just wasn't sure how they were making things happen. I thought they did a good job with all the setbacks and then the big confrontation was insane at the end! I thought the narrators did a great job with all the emotions, all the conflict, all the different emotions all the characters had to go through. They kept me on the edge of my seat at the end and made me smile and laugh with some of their antics (Luca in particular haha). Harper is one lucky lady!! I hope we get to see more about their restaurant in future books! I also loved the female narrator and how she handled her life and her near death experiences and how she finally put her foot down and wanted to live a normal life (and eat!).

Enjoyed this 7th standalone in this series, excited to see what comes next on audio. I need like little reunions/novellas so we can see the kids and how everyone is doing <3

Love Those Italian Stallions! This May Be The Best One Yet!

Conor Russo has watched all the Moretti’s' as well as his brothers fall one by one but didn't picture that for himself. Not because he didn't want it, but because of his childhood.

Luca, however, never figured he would be working with a Russo, more importantly Conor who ditched him in high school. But that's exactly what happens after his brothers accepted a contract with Conor and his new partner, former supermodel Harper, to get them ready to open their new restaurant.

Harper, the first time she met up with Conor and met Luca for the first time in person while she watched the firefighters put out a fire, while she was sitting on the curb eating her Big Mac and fries. The happy and upbeat woman figured out really quickly that there was some sort of history with her new partner and their contractor. But being gun shy from prior relationships didn't stop her from checking them both out.

Now, while little accidents kept trying to derail the opening of the restaurant, that didn't stop Harper, Conor and Luca from putting their professional life aside and taking the time to get to know one another, especially being the taste testers for all of Harpers recipes. And as they get close and closer, it seems someone doesn't want their restaurant to open. So, in addition to figuring out who is trying to sabotage the restaurant, Luca and Harper need to find out what's really going on with Connor. One thing leads to another as Harper is hurt, the Saboteur is found, and the secret Conor is keeping comes to light.

Will the revelations bring them closer or tear them apart.

This series has a bit of everything, and each book is fantastic. Mari Carr brings another of her Italian Stallions alive and it's all that and more! Harper and Conor are going into business together. Harper recently retired supermodel is looking forward to her new career as a chef, living her new dream. Conor hires Luca Moretti to do the restaurant renovations bringing the Russo and Moretti family together again. The three meet together as problems arise during construction, and there is definitely chemistry between the three. But Luca and Conor have a bit more tension, keeping Conor distant. What seems to be the problem? Luca had no idea! Airing out old issues brings the three together. But it doesn't stop the damage that is happening to the restaurant! Will these three be able to solidify their relationship? Who or what is causing the problems? I love this story for a number of reasons. I love how Harper takes charge of her life, ironically becoming a chef after not being able to eat how she would like. I love Conor and the way he learns to deal with his feelings and Luca, is just swoon worthy! Plus we get cameos from family past which is always a good time. I loved this one!

With a narrator cast of Theo Sinclair, Marina Barrett, Oliver Highpoint , I knew I was in for a treat. Each brings a different dynamic to the story, voicing the different personalities and melding them as the chemistry builds. These three together were like magic and made for an amazing listen.

Better Than A Quarter Pounder With Cheese 😉

This book starts off by bringing the heat 🔥 From the beginning we get a hint of the Moretti/Russo family feud still lingering in the air. For Conor Russo though, it’s just hiding other feelings wanting to find their way into the light of day. Feelings that get harder to hide as he & Luca Moretti work together. The addition of Harper, Conor’s new business partner, just makes things more complicated, since they both find themselves with feelings for her as well. Once Luca realizes what’s behind Conor’s past issue with him, things really take a turn. Can they see their way to a future together? Or will the past claim their happiness before it’s ever really begun? If you loved reading Gio’s story, then I know you’ll love Luca’s because he is a lot like his twin, on even more levels than he ever could’ve imagined. And if your heart went out to Gage & Matt after hearing their backstories, then Conor is really gonna tug at your heartstrings. As for Harper, she will make you smile so hard because she is such a relatable character, and you can’t help but want to see her dreams come true, as well as see her find her HEA with Luca & Conor. This series just keeps getting better & better. I can’t wait to see our final bachelors fall…Joey & Miles are definitely going to provide plenty of entertainment, I just know it! Plus, I think we may get a peek into the lives of new characters for a future series maybe 🤔🤞🏼🙏🏼 We’ll see!!!

I LOVED THIS STORY! It was a fantastic read that I could not stop reading.

Conor Russo had just as hard, if not a harder, time growing up than his brothers. He was the third child in the house, his dad had Matt, his mom had Gage, and that left Conor. Although he has grown closer to his brothers, he still has some secrets he has not shared with his brothers.

Harper Branson has retired from modelling, and decided to follow her passion of opening a restaurant. After going to culinary school, she moves to Philadelphia to make her dream come true, with the help of her new business partner Conor Russo.

Luca Moretti is hired as the contractor to renovate Harper and Conor’s new restaurant. After so many of his siblings and cousins have found love, Luca is so far unsuccessfully looking for his person or people.

Conor and Luca went to school together, and although their families were feuding for decades, they created a friendship, but one day Conor stopped the friendship and Luca never understood why. When Harper enters their lives, all 3 instantly are drawn into a friendship with underlying feelings for each other, which is an obstacle that each of them deal with in very different ways. Then there are also weird things that keep happening during the restaurant renovation, that no one can figure out why.

How do these 3 fit into each other’s lives? Are they friend? Are they more than friends?

This is a must read series and book! I wish I could give it 6 stars because it is so good!!

These books are always so much more than expected in the best of ways! The characters are perfectly flawed and feel very real . . . with hopes and dreams, demons and baggage that make them incredibly relatable. I have to say that I adored how this throuple came together. I loved that Conor has had a crush on Luca for years without him ever knowing. I was thrilled when Harper, a literal supermodel, plops herself down on a curb and eats a cheeseburger with fries. And, I was excited when Luca decided taking the chance would be worth it and pulled Harper and Conor along with him!

There’s a great element of suspense in this story . . . someone doesn’t want Harper’s new restaurant to open. But, the bigger focus is on the relationship and watching these individuals come together . . .especially Conor, who has more baggage than even his brother’s know. With emotional ups and downs and some extremely spicy role play NSFW light your kindle on fire moments, Steady and Strong was just about perfection in my book! 5 stars!

Steady and Strong is the seventh book set within the Italian Stallions series. Connor and Harper have teamed up to create a new restaurant together, with Luca’s creative constructive help. Conner and Luca have a bit of a past, but Harper also seems to fit so nicely into their lives. As they learn to navigate their developing relationship, someone is trying to sabotage their restaurant dreams. As secrets unfold, will this relationship draw closer to one another, or push each other away?

This book was absolutely fantastic and put me in bit of a book slump afterwards because all I kept thinking about were Harper, Connor, and Luca! I loved the chemistry that they all had for each other, but also loved the interplays, the ways they all have been hurt before in the past, and how that impacted the way the treated one another now. Harper was beautiful but just wanted someone to see her for herself. Connor and Luca helped her with that insecurity and I adored them for that. I also loved them in general, for their thoughtfulness, for their openness, and for their own passion and drives that they brought to the table. This book had it all, too, not just with sizzling chemistry and off the charts steamy scenes, but there’s found family, and a bit of suspense and mystery to keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved this book and look forward to what the author will create next!

This is the seventh book in the series and the first one that I have listened to. Yes, it is a standalone. I was able to listen to it and not feel lost in the cast of characters or storyline.

Luca is a Moretti. Conor is a Russo. There has been a family feud for as long as time. But their generation is trying to mend the relationship between the families. Conor has gone into business with Harper, a former fashion model. They are building a restaurant where Harper will be the chef, and half owner, Conor is the experience and other half owner, and Luca is the contractor building their dream.

But when accidents start happening on the restaurant jobsite, the three of them start going through who they're enemies could be. Who it actually turns out to be is a surprise to all of them.

When the three of them start meeting for dinner, they all start having feelings for each other. Well, Conor had feelings for Luca back in high school, but now they're more pronounced. They all start talking about their lives and opening up to each other. All except Conor. He has always been the silent one in his family and it continues to this day with everyone around him. He is reserved. In his mind he's afraid to open up and fall for anyone. He's worried about his future.

When his brothers find him hidden away in his home after battling a migraine, he has no choice. He has to talk to someone and they're not letting him get away with not telling them what is going on. They're shocked at what he has to say, and yet they're not. They start piecing things together from the last ten plus years and now his behavior makes sense.

The brothers insist Conor move in to the family offices where someone is always around to help him when he gets a migraine or needs to talk to someone. They insist he start counseling. And they insist he tell Harper and Luca everything.

How will Luca and Harper react when Conor tells them everything? Will the three of them make a go of this relationship or will it be too much for either Harper or Luca? And will the perpetrator sabotaging the restaurant serve time for his crimes?

Theo Sinclair, Oliver Highpoint and Marina Barrett are all new narrators to me. I truly enjoyed listening to all three of them. They played well together and individually. Their voices are smooth and quite easy to listen to.

Conor, Harper, and Luca are exactly what I needed to read. Mari Carr has a way with a throuple.

Conor is a Russo. Luca is a Moretti, and these two families are trying to get past the ages old feud. Slowly but surely they are because of the connections and relationships that are being formed.

Conor is a man that has a lot of baggage, but he suffers in silence. Mari Carr does an amazingly accurate protrayal of the debilitating anxiety Conor lives with.

Harper is a model who no longer wants to model and is starting a restaurant with Conor. She is done living her life for other people, and wants to do what she truly loves.

In comes Luca... they hire him to do the construction work on the restaurant. He and Conor have history... but it's history that Luca isn't sure the cause.

This story is truly about three people finding their true selves, and how sometimes fear can hold them back.

If you haven't read Mari Carr yet, you are missing out. This is a well done book with little angst but a lot of growth and healing.

Conor and Harper are business partners when Harper decides to retire from modeling and open a restaurant. Luca, the contractor hired for the restaurant, meets Harper for the firs time when there's a fire at the restaurant site. As time goes on and a few more mishaps at the restaurant, Conor, Luca and Harper's friendship turns into more. Navigating their ménage relationship and being open with their feelings is easy for Luca and Harper, Conor struggles with opening himself up to love due to his panic attacks. Spending a weekend together is going great until Conor hears a conversation between Harper and Luca about kids that freaks him out. Once the weekend is over, Conor begins to distance himself from Luca and Harper. It takes an intervention from his brothers and coming clean about his mental health concerns for him to realize he deserves the happiness Luca and Harper brings into his life.

Another great story in the Italian Stallions series. Great narration by Theo Sinclair, Marina Barrett and Oliver Highpoint.

I love the pairing of a Russo and a Moretti! Yes, it’s the second pairing in the series, but adding Harper into the mix makes it even sexier! While Luca is charming and a lovable guy, I must say that Conor stole most of my heart. This stoic and guarded man has suffered in silence for years, and I just wanted him to be happy. Harper brings him out of his self- imposed shell, as does Luca now that they are finding their way towards friendship again.
I don’t want to give too much away, but I was impressed with the way Mari Carr handled the very delicate issues of anxiety and depression. The coping mechanisms she discussed have helped a loved one who utilizes them as well. I was as touched by those scenes as I was watching this trouble develop emotionally, not to mention the very steamy, nsfw scenes!
The Italian Stallions series is one of my most recommended collection of stories for those looking for both emotions, family connections and, of course, spice!

Steady and Strong, book seven in the Italian Stallions series is just as hot and spicy as the previous books in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Luca Moretti and Conor Russo have a past and a long time animosity and family feud flowing between them, but when Harper, a former model and Conor’s new business partner enters the picture the two men find some common ground. I loved all three of these characters and their different personalities that all complimented one another. Luca is the easy going, flirty one where Conor is his complete opposite being very serious and nerdy and add in Harper with her sweet, trusting personality. What none of them expected was that they were all interested in the same type of relationship and once they are all on board the sparks fly but as with every new relationship they have a few revelations and hit a few bumps but love seems to win out in the end.

This book was soooooo good. These three have so much chemistry in and out of the bedroom. If you like love triangles, family feuds, forced proximity, soul mates, and childhood trauma troupes then this book is for you. You not only get to learn how a good family makes loving easy and how mental health can affect everyone. These three come from different backgrounds and still have so many similarities. Luca just thinks he is the alpha in the relationship but soon learns that the closed-off Connor has a darker side that he did not expect. Harper is the tamer of these two beasts and shows she can be just as independent. She wants to show she can succeed on her merit and not just be another pretty face. The chemistry of these three is off the charts and makes you hot right along with them. Loved this book so much! Need more of these amazing characters and their big giant family.

Little does he know that Luca Moretti, who he has a past conflict with, is the one that will lead the construction team. But that conflict is a result of a crush Conor has had on Luca in high school. Now that they are working together, will his feelings reappear? And what happens when he starts developing feelings for Harper as well.

Luca has watched all the Morrettis fall in love and he's ready for his turn. He's never had feelings for a man, but seeing all the relationships in his family opens him up to the possibilities between Conor, Harper, and himself.

These three form a great trio. Mari Carr has a way with writing throuple romances. This is a most read along with all the other books in the series.

Conner & Harper are excited about their new restaurant venture together and Luca is leading the construction work to get the restaurant up & running. Despite the former bad blood between Conner & Luca's families dissipating, Harper still senses a detachment when Conner holds himself back from their budding friendship. This is book 7 in Carr's Italian Stallions and can be read / listened to as a standalone although I love the addition to the series this book makes. The family feud between the Moretti's and Russo's is seemingly over...or is it? Connor and Luca have known each other for years and they come together on a project with model Harper, but something is amiss...is it the feud or is someone else out to sabotage this joint venture. While working together to salvage their project old feelings and new feelings evolve but are they all three ready for more than a casual fling? Great story line along with plenty of steamy chemistry and the narration by Sinclair, Barrett and Highpoint is wonderfully done and brings our characters to life. Definitely recommend and am looking forward to more!

Steady and Strong is the 7th book in the Italian Stallions series. A no-holds-barred, full-steam-ahead romane between Conor, the last Russo bachelor, his childhood crush Luca Moretti and Harper, supermodel-turned-chef whose love of food and live is thoroughly contagious and won't be subdued by sabotage or shadows from the past. I loved all three of them and it was heart-warming to see them overcome obstacle after obstacle to finally find their HEA. This page-turner is full of heat, kinship and love, as all the Russos and Morettis from previous books make guest appearances. Another title for my keeper shelf, ending with a peak into the final story in the series and possibly the beginnings of the next. I can't wait!.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book in the Italian Stallions series packs a punch. Conor, Luca and Harper make a great trio. It comes with some emotional baggage to sort thru for them all. Partnership in a new venture is what brings out a deep friendship that falls into love. The storyline is well written with each of them having different personalities that fit together. Harper is trying to live the life she wants for once. What I love about Conor and Luca is that they see her, the real Harper. Their story has their own personal ups and downs but there's a strength that they find together. Family is a big part of the story, the Russos are the perfect blend of support and craziness. I liked how Luca and Conor's attraction began and grew. Overall this is a great addition to the series and I really enjoyed it
