This book was a bit of a snooze. I know this island well as a lovely hiking spot and know many who have picnicked, camped, and biked there. I also know its history as it pertains to the military and as an immigration center, and it’s these aspects that this book concentrates on. I suspect everything that is in this book, and much more, can be found on the internet. That said, this looks as though it’s part of a series and these types of books are a quick and easy way to begin to learn about some of America’s landmarks. Photos and a map are included.
