Fact-filled and dry. Good for an elementary-school report presentation on a specific colony. I read at the same time as several others in the series. Most geography books for children are fact-filled and dry. I'm looking for one about the establishment of the 13 colonies. Why 13? How were the boundaries founded? How were they governed as colonies? What made each one unique? What was their relationship with the natives? What was their relationship to slavery?
