Science and God: How Science and Logic Support the Bible by Rodney Bond sets out with an ambitious goal—to demonstrate that science and logic affirm the truth of the Bible. Unfortunately, while the intention is admirable, the execution falls short.

Disconnected Ideas: One of the book’s biggest issues is its structure—or lack of it. Many ideas are simply thrown out without being connected to a larger narrative or supported with meaningful context. The result is a scattered, sometimes disjointed reading experience.

Lack of Scholarly Support: Claims are often made without citing credible sources or engaging with existing academic debate, which weakens the author’s arguments considerably.

Overgeneralizations and Repetition: The book often simplifies complex subjects and repeats the same themes without building toward anything new.

Conclusion:

Despite a few strengths, Science and God ultimately feels like a missed opportunity. The core ideas could have been powerful if developed more rigorously and woven into a coherent framework. As it stands, it’s more of a rough sketch than a compelling case. Readers looking for a thoughtful exploration of the intersection between science and faith will likely be left unsatisfied.
