I need Wynstelle to decide her own path. Then I will fight for her to safely walk it. I have already pushed my will upon her enough to drive anyone away.
I need her to choose me because she loves me. Not because she feels obligated.

Book two of the Fae Hearted series picked up right where we left off in Between Realms, with the FMC, Wynn, missing and in mortal danger. Additional secrets are uncovered: who Wynn is and what forces were at work to take her from her quiet life as a servant to catching the Fae Prince’s attention.

Wynn continued her transition from the naïve and innocent human foundling who saw herself as a second-class citizen to a woman who could (and deserved to) stand up for herself. Her deep-engrained feelings of self-doubt continued to color her decisions, but she started finding her strength.

We got more of Jaden and Oakes’ POVs. They continued to be my favorites of her men, all-in and incredibly supportive of Wynn. Through actions and words, they attempted to prove how much they loved and wanted her. How important her happiness was.

I still need to see some growth from the prince before I can view him in a positive light, but by the end of this book, he is showing some promise of redemption. He has the potential to be so much more than the entitled prick he has been.

This book is still slower burn but has some increasing spice.

Tangled Secrets ends on a cliffhanger. I look forward to the next book.

Genre: Dark Fantasy Romance

2.5 the main characters became insufferable

I'm going to be honest I dnf this book at like 60%. If I had to read one more time but "I'm just a human or a human slave" I was going to toss my Kindle. Not only that but these men are telling her they love her and she just thinks at some point they're just going to throw her away. It just became so obnoxious I couldn't continue the FMC was insufferable I'm sorry she was.

I really like the premise of this story and I think the characters are interesting but the writing was kind of robotic? Rudimentary? Idk it just didn’t grip me in book 2 and I can’t imagine reading 2 more books of it.

Tangled secrets picks up right where book one left off. Wyn is in the human realm along with her elves and faces secrets that are revealed and even more danger. I love the intrigue of the story and am looking forward to seeing how everything plays out for Wyn, Oakes, Eldrin, and Jaden. I will say that for me Wyn was a bit exhausting with her " they can't possibly love me" issues, but it's looking like she is finally coming to terms with it all......I'm hoping. Good read!

DNF - Finished 100% of book one & two, 27% of book three

**Review shared for series**

This series started off strong but ended up getting kind of repetitive. The fmc grew up as a slave and doesn't see herself as good enough of for.. well.. anything. Which was fine for awhile and made sense but the mmc's are consistently showing and treating her with the respect she deserves and yet she is constantly fighting them on what she is worth. It was just brought up so many times and she was so blind that it started to get really annoying.

I finally got to the part where she accepts that she is worthy of them and at that point I was just kind of bored with the plot..

Also didn't really enjoy the changeling connection, was super weird that someone else was able to feel her lust and know when she was with the guys...

I had to DNF at 58% (which is a shame since I do like Vale's writing) - but the plot and characters had become wayyy too boring (and repetitive). If I had to hear Wyn say "but I am just a human slave 😩" , with a side of self-deprivation, one more time I would have thrown my kindle at the wall.

It also doesn't make sense how the author wants us to believe that she is quite emotionally intelligent despite her naivety (Example: I feel like it is a ploy to add some ✨tension✨, but it fails and just gets repetitive (and boring haha).

Tangled Secrets is a fantasy why-choose romance that picks right up off the cliffhanger of Between Realms. Time is ticking as Oakes and Jaden race to find Wyn before she dies in the mortal realm. What they don't plan is getting caught by humans for trespassing and breaking the treaty. It was wonderful to watch Wyn grow into her own person and become more confident and stronger through the hardships she keeps having. She certainly isn't being dealt a great set of cards in life. Every time she gets the chance to enjoy a moment to herself, something bursts that private bubble. Wyn has never had the privilege to make actual decisions about her life, so when she is finally presented with choices, she requires quite a bit of time to think things through. While it is not only understandable and quite realistic, I found this part of the book dragged over a few chapters. I understood the journey the author was taking us on so it didn't feel like we went from one chapter of Wyn trying to decide and then bam, next chapter is her decision. I think it was the anticipation of what she would decide that had me trying to run through the pages and get to her final decision; but alas, the author has left us on another cliffhanger until Chaos Tempted. I really enjoyed Twyla's character and hope to see more of her in the third and fourth books. She is as resilient as Wyn, confident in her skin and authority, and provided another strong female character in the realm. While a brief appearance, I thought Lady Carissa was another feisty and formidable female character.

This is quite the slow-burn romance and there is a small bit of steam with Wyn and her fated mates. Readers should pay attention to the TWs as there is more violence against Wyn in Tangled Secrets, which include attempted sexual assault, abduction, violence, and death.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a quick read and although it is still a slow burn on the romance front, there are a lot of secrets being revealed in this and the plot is ticking along nicely. We learn a little more of the history of the war and the mythology of the world, some of Wyn's elusive backstory and spend some time in the human realm.

Wyn has a lot going on in this and although I was starting to get a little frustrated on the back and forth with the MMCs and the self-deprecation, overall it did balance out towards the end between some sweet moments and some humour. My favourite part had to be in the cave ("It hurts lower") which did make me genuinely laugh and I loved her vent towards the middle of the book when she gets tired of everyone trying to placate her. Oakes is still my favourite as he tries to tell Wyn how he feels, Jaden's past is explored and Eldrin also spills some truths which I am very much here for.

We also meet several new characters Twyla and Rhys being two of the main ones. I wouldn't mind Rhys being added to the mix as I think that would be an interesting dynamic but I think he's up to something so I am reserving judgement! I also have the biggest beady eye on King Magnus as he loves a loophole and I do not trust him one inch.

The cliffhanger isn't too bad compared to book one and definitely feels more like a pause before the action starts back up again. I'm looking forward to seeing what book three brings next!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR

Wynstelle is taken and left for dead in the mortal realm, Jaden and Oakes follow to save her. They’re captured by humans. Unfortunately, Oakes and Jaden are arrested for breaking the realms’ peace treaty when they trespassed in their attempt to save Wyn. That’s the beginning of book two of Fae Hearted by Yve Vale. So few words to sum up so much action and emotion. It’s so hard to just say what is so amazing about this book, without giving it all away, you really need to read it for yourself.

I’ve loved all of Yve Vale’s books that I’ve read, she creates the most amazing worlds and characters. While I’m not really a trilogy, cliffhanger girl, I like my books tied up all nice and neat with a bow on them. But, D**M! She is really good at the suspense and keeping me hooked. Betrayal, both Fae and Human alike is to be expected, poor Wyn though, some truths will hurt more than others. She struggles with navigating her emotions and desires, never having the freedom to explore either. It makes her so much fuller as a character and as a partner with Jaden, Oakes and Eldrin, learning. But she’s not the only one learning. I really enjoy, not only how each man interacts with each other and her, but how Vale has created their backstories and baggage to reflect the relationship hurdles they each have to get through as well.

Then, if all of that is not enough, we have plotting humans and villainous Fae, wrecking murder and mayhem all over their love story. But, a little blood and violence sometimes moves things along, especially when its written as well as Vale does it. I cannot wait for the final installment, I am sure it’ll be the most twisted roller coaster of all, but it’ll be worth it.

After that cliffhanger at the end of Between Realms, I've been coming up with every possible scenario and yet I couldn't have imagined what went down in Tangled Secrets.

Wyn frustrated me to no end and it went on for the entire book. She is intelligent, brave, and outspoken but her status in the fae realm has ingrained in her that she's less than, and because of that she doesn't believe the guys. Her denial of the guys' feelings was utterly frustrating. However, her other instincts are on point.

The guys are great each one of them is attentive and has the patience of a saint when it comes to Wyn and her insecurities. Oakes is his sweet and caring self. Jaden shows a lot of passion in this one, he made my heart melt. Eldrin surprised me he gets major points, he's trying to be a better version of himself, and warmed my heart.

The story was fantastic. It was mostly set in the human realm with new and interesting characters. We learn more about the human/elf conflict, some intriguing mythology (that I'm sure will come into play later) is given, and a great plot twist was revealed. Not to mention things were pretty steamy. Yve is setting things up, I'm sure some very exciting events are on the horizon.

Yve did it to us again. Tangled Secrets ended on a very mild cliffhanger, I wonder what Wyn's answer will be. I know what I want it to be but you never know with authors. I can't wait to what happens in Chaos Tempted.

This was quick read and just as enjoyable as the first. It seems that Oakes and Jaden have come around. The Prince is in love with her but still acts on his emotions which further complicates the situation and Kat's life.

Each man confesses their love for Kat which she can't comprehend. It gets a bit tiring for her to deny each man whenever they profess their love. Can't you see it Kat? Also I do believe there are mate bonds at play here.

Kat, Oakes, and Jaden meet new allies\ possible frenemies when they get to the Human Realm where Kat learns something that change her life. Rhys is up to something.

Even though they are in the human realm we don't really get much world building and description. Besides the people, how is it different than other realms.

We get a couple of mid-level spicy scenes, one 4 star spicy scene, and just a hint of MM.

Looking forward to the next one.

We are back in the world with Wyn, Oakes, Jaden, and Eldrin. This book is a tad slower than the first one but no less intriguing and stunning. We learn secrets and learn that has been betrayal in the works. The secrets are shocking. At times you can feel the emotions of each of our amazing characters. In the first book we saw that some of our characters needed to grow and throughout this book we see the growth that was needed. The story pulls you in and keeps you glued to it as we journey alongside the 4 of them. It is extremely well written and developed. The descriptions are just as beautiful as always with Yve Vale’s writing. Yve Vale’s writing is always superb and keeps you completely engaged and pulled into the world that is created. This is no different. It is definitely a fantastic story and a must read. The ending of this book definitely has me excited to see what is going to happen next. If love fairies, Elf’s, magic and more then you definitely want to read this one.

Loved the story

In this second book of Fae Hearted, Wynstelle has been taken back to the earth realm, and Jaden and Oakes are desperate to find her. Prince Eldrin sends them to get her, but they are all taken by a human army to go see the king.

When they get there, there is a big surprise that happens and Wyn isn’t just the normal mortal girl that she thought she was. She WAS a foundling but since she was ill, her father traded her to the Fae to get better. And now her life has been drastically changed…

But they all still have to go back to the Fae realm and figure out what is all going on, and the trouble seems to be MUCH bigger than they all expected.

I loved the relationship growing between Wyn, Jaden, Oakes and Prince Eldrin, but they are still in danger…. Cant wait to see what happens next!

Book 2 of the Fae Hearted series starts where Book 1 ended with Wyn (FMC) being taken from the castle and left injured in the human realm. Her men, Jaden, Oakes and Eldin, are frantic. Jaden and Oakes immediately head out to look for her while Eldrin stays behind to keep up appearances at the ball.

In this installment, secrets are revealed about Wyn’s parentage and the treaty between the Elves and Humans is in danger of collapsing. At the same time, each of the men have expressed their love and their desire to be mated to her. Lucky for Wyn, they are willing to share.

I loved the pacing of this book. The author’s writing style appeals to me greatly. She is descriptive, keeps intrigue suspenseful and has created a wonderful and likable FMC in Wyn. This was a great addition to the series, and I cannot wait to read the conclusion of this trilogy.

Tangled Tango

** Cliffhanger Warning! ** I really like this story! It's still a slow-burn, reverse harem romance. There's about a zillion things happening here, and the suspense is killing me. I have to say this book title is perfect: there are so many secrets being hidden - or revealed - by all the people in this book. It doesn't help Wyn and her guys with their own hangups, misbeliefs, and communication problems.

There's so much drama, emotional tension, and just plain stubbornness that it took me a long time to read this. It's me, not the author. This book qualifies as an emotional drama! That ending - with Wyn's prediction - isn't helping my mental state.

Having said that, I will be reading the next book in this fabulous series. I do care about Wyn and her guys. I want some answers!

A few typos, but nothing too distracting.

Spice level:  🌶️🌶️.5

Book two in the Fae Hearted series, and this picks up directly where book one left off. It continues to be amazing with telling more of the history/lore of the world that we wanted to know in book one, and continues to develop the characters and their relationships.

It's still a bit of a slow burn in regards to the romance, but it definitely picks up, and gives you scenes that you've been waiting to read.

At times, I felt the self-deprication of the MMC's erred on the edge of too much, but also it gave us a deeper look into their characters and their personalities. I'm not going to lie, Oakes is still my favourite. Sorrynotsorry.

In classic Vale style, it ends on a cliffhanger that makes you need the next book in the series.

This book picks up where we left off, and we find out more about Wynn. I think she's growing into her own. Her whole life, she's been a servant, and now everything has changed. There are obviously those not happy with how close she's gotten to the prince. Her life is in danger, and anyone close to her will be as well. Now she's in a new place and once again everything is upended. Who she is matters, and now she's ready to turn around and fight for and be the voice for other mortals among the fae.

The romance in this one is still a slow burn, but we finally get those 🌶 moments 🥵. There are sinister plots going on around them, and the only ones they can really 100% trust is each other. I am beyond excited to find out what happens next!

Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off thank goodness! We find Jaden and Oakes searching for Wyn in the human realm. When they find her, she is nearly frozen to death so they do what they can to warm her up. Then they are found by humans and there is where the drama starts. Secret after secret is revealed and Wyn gets caught in the crossfire of them all. She is strong FMC to deal with all of this! I loved this continuation, we get a more in depth look at Wyn, Eldrin, Jaden and Oakes. Not to mention all of the characters from the human realm! The spice is still slow but is picks up a little from book 1. Wyn is still in danger from everyone and her Fae have to protect her no matter what! I can’t wait for the next book!! I need more of this story!!!

Wow … some unexpected twists in this book.

Wynn find herself in the human realm and ends up meeting her family. Jadyn and Oaks are following as she was snatched from the castle.

Eldrin … Oaks and Jadyn all still want her but none seem to be able to get her to understand she has value …

Wynn has a decision to make and this one ends without one as of yet …

This does have family found…
Kidnapping …
Attempted murder…
Killing through self defense..
Secrets … and truths that hurt ..
A vengeful King ….

I love reading the second book in a series. Most of the world building is done, the main characters established and we can focus on the story. Wynstelle's character development is a bit different in this book from the first. Shes not quite so niave and filled with wonder at everything. I also loved the prince's character development - hes almost a real boy! Oakes and Jaden are perfect as they are and exactly the stability the other two need. With fae politics and now human politics in the mix, this story is getting complicated fast. I only wish Wynstelle wasn't quite so selfless and had more sense of her own worth. Cant wait to see what happens next.

The books kicks right off where book 1 finished. We see Jaden realise Wyn is missing and they track her to the human realm. This in turn causes lots of chaos with breaking the treaty between Elves and Humans. Secrets of Wyns pass come to light and there is a real push/pull on which realm she should be siding with.
The suspense, enemies and mysterious elements in the storyline had me on the edge of my chair.
I consumed this book, didn’t put it down until the very last word - it was great. Loved Jaden & Oakes POV in this book, it gave it that extra insight needed.
It’s slow burn, but the steam seems to be increasing.
That cliffhanger ending leaves you needing more- can’t wait for book 3.

This is the second book in the Fae Hearted series. The story just gets better with each new book. WYNSTELLE is rescued. While in the human realm she learns something about herself. She has a decision to make. Stay in the human realm or go back with the Elves. Even while in the human realm there is still danger. The prince and both his advisers want her to pick one of them as her mate. So now that’s another decision she has to make. What will she choose to do? Will she be happy with her decision? Read the story to find out what she chooses for her future.

- Why choose, slow burn, fantasy romance
- Small harem
- great character build

Ms. Yve has done it again, with the continuation of the story of Wyn and her three Fae men. With a treaty on the brink of being broken, Jaden and Oakes risk all to save Wyn. When a secret is reveled, the treaty could all but shatter. Can the prince save Wyn from destruction, or is Wyn's stubbornness/naivety going to be her undoing.

Both Wyn and Prince Eldrin, have very could character development and still have more to come.

This was a fab continuation of book two but we also get another cliffy. So the good news is that there's more story to come ;D Wynn, Eldrin, Oakes and Jaden have their journey through the human realm and secrets come to be exposed, causing both good and bad consequences. We get some good character growth for both Wynn and Eldrin but I'm hoping to see even more as the story concludes in the next book. Expect to get caught up in the danger, excitement, intrigue, humour, secrets and steam as these four try and work towards an HEA. I really can't wait for the next book to come out :D

I didn't read book one so the book started off with a lot of questions for me. I do plan to read book one because let me tell you this was beautiful! This book had spice and dark elements. It was a fae book and WOW WOW WOW. I loved the fact that the book had secrets that are uncovered and that Wynn goes through some changes and growth in the book. It does end on a cliffhanger and is a dark romance novel. I can't wait for more of this series. While I wait for book three I shall read book one and book two again!

In book 2 wyn is in danger and eldrin, Oakes and Jaden fear they won't find her before it's too late. Secrets are revealed and wyn is having trouble accepting that she deserves love just because she thinks she's a mere human. There was more steam in this one and I truly hope that wyn will understand her worth and follow her heart instead of her head. Excited to see what awaits them in the next book.
