Crowne Legacy #9

All Hail Queen Duchess

Rate this book
When everyone assumes they know your story, how do you tell your truth?

DUCHESSI always wanted to have a big family. That’s why I created my own. My husband is my heart. My mom is my ribs. My kids… They are the air I breathe. Without them, I’m not whole. Everyone has dark secrets, yet mine are the kind of life-altering skeletons that could threaten the very mission I’ve spent my entire life fighting. My children think they know my story, but they don’t. Not all of it. Not the parts that would make them question everything they know in life. My constant has been my love for Stan and that’s a truth I’ll always share.

STANLEYI would move heaven and earth for my family. Yet, for Duchess, I wouldn’t hesitate to give my life and soul in exchange for her to continue to grow the Crowne legacy. She may have taken my last name, but she made it worth more than I ever could have imagined. Years ago, I vowed to spend eternity fighting by her side for missions close to our hearts. Our children think they know our story, but they don’t. We had a life before them. One many aren’t aware of. My love for Duchess has only gotten stronger, but now it seems the past has caught up with the present.

For years, these adopted siblings have lived by the code, Know Thy Enemy. However, what seems too good to be true usually is. Some say mafia. They say family. Can they trust their allies and defend the Crowne legacy? Or will they realize that loyalty, love, and honor are luxuries they can't afford?

All Hail The Queen

I knew Duchess was dope, but I did not realize the depths of her inner soul had such a deep resonance. I am happy we were able to see behind the scenes to discover Duchess's inner beauty and her profound strength. No spoilers, you all, this story will answer questions you did not know to ask about in previous books. I am happy to recommend this book and the series. 4.8 stars...

This one was by far the best. She was a true survivor. I loved Duchess and Stan’s story. It made me understand the family so much more. The love Duchess and Stan had for each other was everything. In their 60’s acting like teenagers. And Queenie had me cackling at the end. Hoping there’s a good ending with Creed’s story.

Whew!! We are almost to the finish line yall! I have soo much respect for Sherelle pulling this series to a close like this and not losing the plot! The anticipation for Duchess’s book was so real because there was soo many questions and let me tell you we get the answers! The prologue was a perspective I didn’t know I needed and I have thoughts about that! I won’t spoil here but let’s just say I wasn’t expecting to start the book that way and I think there may be more to that interaction. 👀 Duchess and Stan have been through sooo much and to find out why they really have beef with the Carrington’s makes all the sense in the world and honestly I don’t like them all over again! Like bffr you really did that?!? Of all things?!? Duchess and Stan are better than me! Duchess is finally free to be vulnerable with her kids after this book and I pray one in particular took in what she and Stan had to say because wow. I’m excited for Creed’s book because after that second bonus scene I am worried! Also that first bonus scene with Queenie! Sherelle you play too much lmfao! If you’re not caught up get caught up on this book because we are near the end of the Crownes and I have a feeling this is going to be a crazy ride to the finish!!

All Hail Queen Duchess

This was yet another great story and I cannot wait to read about Creed next.

Duchess and Stan were so in tune to each other from the time they first officially met and throughout their relationship and story. I loved getting to know them better and see what led to them getting together. These two are definitely couple goals. There are of course some funny moments and some very serious moments but I loved them all. The first bonus scene had me in tears from laughing so hard and I think that brevity was needed with the heaviness of Duchess’s past.

I highly recommend this series from beginning to end.

I absolutely loved reading Duchess's story, and that surprised me because I was happy enough just having her be the matriarch in the background. But Duchess's story brings everything together. It brings life to the purpose of the Crowne family.

This woman went through hell and back and came out stronger in the end. I'm so happy this author gave us Duchess's perspective.

Duchess’s back story establishes why she is the Queen. Her book explains a lot. The most important take away is that Stan is the one and not the two! He is OG book bae. He loved him some Duchess from day one and I love their love.

The second to the last book in the Crowne Legacy series, All Hail Queen Duchess starts in an unexpected, but necessary way to give a glimpse of the state of mind of a critical character. We have read about Duchess and Stanley throughout the series. Now, we get to see where it all began; when Duchess was fifteen and Stanley was seventeen. Duchess was too young to be in the situation she was in. Stanley was at the
right place at the right time to provide a shoulder for her to lean on. That was a recurring theme. Stan knew her secrets so she fought what was meant to be and there were detours before they could start their forever.

USA Today best-selling Sherelle Green evokes many emotions with this book. I was touched by Duchess and Stan’s love story and physical passion. I was also
on the edge of my seat to find answers to open questions. I like how the book started and ended with the present. There are also a couple of bonus scenes; one was hilarious but the final one prepares the reader for what is to come. I know it will be a thrilling conclusion. I highly recommend All Hail Queen Duchess about the Queen of the Crowne empire and her King. Full review in romanceincolor.com

WHEW!

Well I really have to say that Duchess is not only a Queen she’s
A Bad mam jamama❤️🔥. Reading her story evoked a lot of emotion from her childhood experiences through her sharing her story with the family . I enjoyed reading Stanley account of how much he loved Duchess and how determined he was to be in here life forever. There were times when I really wanted to reach through the pages and shake the heck out of Creed’s stubborn behind 😡 And say man get it together!! 🤬

My comedy relief came when everyone thought going to the chapel during the anniversary party , to get their freak on, was a good idea. And oh my Goodness, Idris, Queenie and , Smitty
the had me laughing until tears rolled down my face. 🤣🤣

This story gave me a real clear picture of who Duchess and Stanley Crowne really were and I love them that much more.
Great read. But if you haven’t read the first 8 books in this series,I would suggest you read them first so you will better understand what’s happening in this book.

Heavy is the head that wears the Crowne....

All Hail Queen Duchess gives us a glimpse of who Duchess and Stan are and what shaped them. Duchess comes from a criminal background and was raised to sit at the head of the organization. Stan may have come from a family of athletes and philanthropists, but it is the way he was destined to rein alongside his queen, Duchess. I loved reading their journey even though it is riddled with tragedy. The way Stan holds Duchess down is beautiful. Although this story is a bit of a prequel, giving some background on the origin of the Crownes, its timing is perfect. I can't wait to see how this new perspective of the matriarch and patriarch of the Crownes will play out in In Creed We Trust.

Aaaaannnddd, the bonus scenes are good too! Queenie is something special, lol.

it was ok I guess, not for me

I’m giving 5 🌟 like I always do bc author is a great writer but I promise I’m confused bc what was the purpose of Duchess and Stan story? What were the big secrets that was so bad? I don’t have any feedback about the story bc I really didn’t connect with it. All I can say is that Stan is 1 in a million. A great man with a good heart. Now, Queenie’s chapter was the best chapter in the book. Oh, I was on the floor laughing at Queenie and Idris bantering🤣😂, it was so damn funny. And Lawd when Smitty seemed them kissing and his reaction had me dead💀. I just couldn’t stop laughing and I read that chapter 3 times and still couldn’t stop laughing. That is a genius chess move author.

Great Book!!!

I really loved reading Duchess' backstory. We finally get to see what drives her and motivates her. I finally understand why she feels the way she does and why stamping out the sex trafficking ring is so important. I also loved the passion and love that Duchess and Stanley had for each other from the very beginning. The sex scenes were 🔥🔥🔥 no matter who they involved 👀. We also got to see how the connections formed with some of their allies and some of the betrayals that Duchess endured. There were some humorous moments included in the book which I always appreciate. Once again, an excellent addition to the Crowne series.

#Crownesh¡t

Mannn every since Sherelle Green dipped her baby toe in the urban gritty romance genre sis never looked back! Just when you think you have a handle on the Crownes she comes in with her mighty pen and destroy all your reasonings and you like dang didn’t see that coming. This installment followed that trend with precision. Watching the journey of Stan and Duchess was something you didn’t know you needed but once you got it had like how was I able to go so long with it. The ending of this story has me buckled in and ready for the big showdown that will be Creed’s story! I can’t wait for the Crownes to back together again. #Whereitallbegan #CrowneLegacy

scared to go here but it was so good

I didn’t think I could handle the Duchess’s story. I put it off so long that I forgot that this series was coming to an end.

Miss green, this story gave exactly what it needed to give and more. It had to be told this way For it to all make sense. It was very tastefully handled even though it was a very difficult subject matter. Trigger warnings are very necessary even with that being said. It was also difficult to feel creeds, pain, disillusionment, and grief. I hope he really does forgive, her and the circumstances of his birth.

It was good to see the beginning of this series. It came at the right time so I wouldn’t read it first but it give you the story of 2 people and the kids they adopted to make the family they needed to clean up some serious mess. Duchess is such a strong character and to understand what she went through after being kidnapped makes you understand why she is who she is. After telling her story and for all her kids to support her is a beautiful thing. A love like her and Stan is a beautiful thing. Wish we all could have someone like him to stand by us through it all.

i absolutely knew Duchess was “the one” in every sense, just by the way she carries herself. Her passion for her work and her kids shines through so vividly. But finally getting the backstory on what shaped her into this incredible person tied everything together beautifully! Duchess is a true survivor, fighting for everything she holds dear, and the evolution of her love with Stan was nothing short of breathtaking. The bonus scenes are always a treat and Queenie is a character, i feel like we need a back story on her too.

on to the final book - "In Creed We Trust"

This book does a lot to explain Duchess' strength, determination, and vulnerability. Duchess went through it almost non stop for a good portion of her younger years.

I loved that Stan stood by her side no matter what. Duchess and his family were his number one priorities.

There were some rough moments in this book, but the bonus chapter about Queenie almost took me out.

I was surprised there wasn't more about Creed and his reactions but I suppose it will all come to light in his book. Loved the narration.

This book had everything, action, emotions, family drama. I like catching up to Creed and his head space. He's still out there and hurting deeply. But this is Duchess and Stan's story. My goodness what a life they led. The things they went through and did were eye opening. Answered so many questions that we needed but we also learned what made them that couple and family. Loved the bonus scene with Queenie. Well written Sherelle.

I am captivated with this entire series, but THIS story about Stan & Duchess is next level!

Every story has had me on the edge of my seat and when I think it can't get any better than this, the author snatches my edges!

I've always knew Duchess was a boss, but Stan is definitely the man who has captured my heart!!

To be honest, I'm at a loss for what more I can say about this book. But trust, I absolutely loved it!

Sherelle Green has done it again! All Hail Queen Duchess gave me all kinds of feelings. You get a real look into Duchess and Stan’s life from the beginning and it fills in a lot of the pieces to the puzzle. Duchess has truly earned her crown and Stan has and still is by her side 100%.
If you have read all the Crown books so far this one will keep you on the edge of your seat for sure. If you’re not caught up on this family please do. The series is fantastic.

A leader amongst other things

Duchess is a woman I give a lot of credit to, I love her strength, determination and courage to bring down human trafficking. She raised her children to be who they are and to hone in on the own strengths and abilities. Stan is a great man to have in your corner and a great leader. They are the best power couple if I have never seen one! This book and the other in this series has you crying, laughing and rooting for them to win!

She is a survivor...

Duchess story was what I needed to tie this entire series together. Duchess and Stan met and fell in love at a young age, but Duchess' family life put her in dangerous situations that she always survived. Sherelle Green blew me away with this story. It was written with a neverending love story, but also a family who stood on business. I don't know what's about to happen next, but I can't wait to find out.

MY FAVORITE IN THE ENTIRE CROWNE LEGACY SERIES-HANDS FREAKIN' DOWN!!! I MEAN, UP UNTIL THIS BOOK MY FAV WAS SINS OF A SAINT. BUT, I LOVE THE STORY OF HOW DUCHESS AND STANLEY MET & HOW THEY BUILT THEIR UNORTHODOX FAMILY TO BECOME WHO & WHAT THEY BECAME.
SAINT CROWNE IS STILL MY FAVORITE CROWNE MEMBER, BUT DUCHESS CROWNE IS MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE CROWNE FAMILY MEMBER!
LOVED THIS SO MUCH THAT I BOUGHT BOTH THE BOOK & THE AUDIOBOOK!

Duchess Crowne

Whew, this story was a page turner. We now get the background story of the events of Duchess and Stan's love journey. There were some rough times but love conquered. Questions were answered. Creed has slot to deal with.

Loved the story and the snippet on Queenie!

All Hail

Duchess and Stan story of traumatic love is beautiful. I mean i knew i loved the way Stan and Duchess stood for each other and their family in the other books. To get a front seat of the way they meet and fail in love was so special. I can’t wait to read Creed’s book. Excellent job Sherelle.

Enjoyed the love journey of Stan & Dutchess. Was sad to hear about the incident that occurred but glad she and others were found. Finding out about the children was interesting and now I need to read/ listen to the missing books from the series. The audiobook narrators were 💯with telling the story and I will definitely recommend.
