Most Asian women bury their noses in sand, ostrichlike, in denial about their personal toll in raising autistic children. I was inspired by Bharati Sena's courage in writing this book. Though her life with Niren and Sabitha has been a real test of her strength and courage, she has never let it define her. She has been a great wife, a doting daughter, loving sister and friend to me and a wonderul " Bharathi Aunty " for my girls. She is full of heart, aligned with the highest in her art, culture and upbringing . I have known this angel of a woman for 33 years. I know her to be fun loving , thinking out of the box, ready for adventure, exploring new places, meeting new people; her spirit is all embracing. Kudos to the simplicity with which she makes light of all the struggles, and in making the book so readable and unputdownable. I am reading this over and over again. May her light shine bright for the world to see and I sincerely hope she writes more.
