Rate this book
A demon. An angel. A fight for a lost soul.

Endor and Valory never expected they would be forced to work together to reunite a lost soul with her body, lest she remain a ghost in limbo forever.

When a territorial pack of wolves kidnaps Mercy, things turn toward the near impossible for the celestials. With outside sources impacting their every move, and emotions running hot while they battle to protect their charge, the two are about to discover they may just share a deeper connection than either of them realized.

Will good win out over evil, or are they both doomed to lose sight of the plan?

This book is a continuation from Heaven Knows (Lost Souls, #1) and contains a cliffhanger. If you have not read book one, please go back and snag it before reading Hell Everlasting.

This is book 2 of a series. Your main characters are: Valory (Val), an angel from Heaven who was still a virgin when she died and was religiously conservative her whole life; Endor, a demon born in Hell who wants nothing more than to be promoted to a position where he can spend time on the mortal plane; and Mercy, a 17-year-old girl who has become a lost soul and must now be reunited with her body. The dynamics between Heaven and Hell are intriguing, with Val realizing that Heaven has kept her quite ignorant of pretty much everything. Val and Endor have both been tasked to winning over Mercy’s soul, if her body should be dead when they find it. Mercy is kidnapped by a local werewolf pack though and they must work together to get her back to continue their quest. The tension between the two keeps heating up, with Val embracing the feeling of power, and Endor happy to corrupt her.

I find the premise of the series really interesting. But I was not as impressed with this second installment of the series. It felt a bit unfinished, which may in part be due to it being an ARC copy. I am still intrigued by the mystery of what happened to Mercy and the slow-burn tension between Endor and Val. But felt like we didn’t really get anywhere with this part of the story. I may read the published version to see if it is flushed out more in the final draft. I do find it interesting how much I hate Michael, Val’s boss. He is so squicky. But Roche, Endor’s boss, who comes on to him in even more blatant a manner than Michael does to Val, I like quite a bit. Maybe because she owns it lol. All in all, I will wait to see where this series goes before I would recommend someone else reading it.

I received a copy of the book from the author, but my review is entirely voluntary and honest.

My goodreads shelves might be considered spoilers, so look at your own risk!

I received an ARC for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is a new author to me and my first series by her. I have to say, I'm blown away. This is the second book in the series, the first one being Heaven Knows. Both books are novellas, which I'm not the biggest fan of, I'd rather have one fully finished book or, if necessary, broken into two decent size installments. Because these are pretty short reads, I'm not sure how many will ultimately be in the series and because they are novellas it can be easy to forget the story if you're waiting too long for the next installment. This is why I prefer a bigger or completed story, the story will stay in your mind more. This is my only hang-up with this book and series.

The book itself is really very good, the story was absorbing and really drew you in. No real spelling or grammar errors to detract from the story.

The premise of the book includes our FMC Valory, an angel in Heaven, our MMC Endor, a demon from Hell and another FMC Mercy who is a lost soul. Valory and Endor are tasked to work together to protect Mercy and help her find her body so that she can reconnect to it with her lost soul and go on living and/or she can choose where her soul goes when she dies. Heaven and Hell both want her soul and both, Valory and Endor have been told to influence her to their respective sides. However, not all goes to plan as along the way they lose Mercy to some wolf shifters. You get the sense throughout the story that there is more nefarious things going on from both Heaven and Hell sides and not all is at it seems. Valory and Endor seem to be pawns in something bigger going on.

The attraction and tension between Valory and Endor was strong - a nice forbidden love/opposites attract trope.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series, but I do hope however many installments aren't too far behind. It's the only thing that makes me drop a story, especially if it's short to begin with.

Book 2 of the Lost Souls Series starts off where Book 1 ended. Valory (an angel), Endor (a demon) and Mercy (teenage lost soul) start on their road trip to reunite Mercy (a lost soul) with her body. Heaven and H3ll are fighting for her soul and are working to have Valory and Endor betray each other to win this soul.

This installment has added twist and turns as you learn more about what it means to be a lost soul and what may have happened to Mercy. The s3xu@l tension between Valory and Endor continues to heat up as both unknowingly take on a parental role with their charge.

I enjoy this series and did not want this story to end. I do not do well with cliffhangers! I am anxiously awaiting the next installment to see what happens next and hope some answers are given to the mysteries that have been introduced.

The second book in the Lost Souls series, starts right where the story left off in the first book. They both end on a cliffhanger but a third book is coming out soon. I hate cliffhangers because I have to go back and read the first books again. With this series, I won’t mind so much. It’s unique with angels, demons, and werewolves fighting over the same lost soul. Lost souls have powerful magic and they all want it.
Interesting characters and an intriguing plot guarantees that I’ll be going back for the third book, and any other books written by Ariel Dawn.

This is the second book in the Lost Souls series.
The main characters Valory and Endor have an attraction that of course can't exist since she is from heaven and he is from hell.
They are helping Mercy, a lost soul to find her body but things go wrong and she ends up somewhere completely different.
There are other aspect that are in play so not everything is black and white so to speak.
This is an enjoyable series but the stories are short and that can be a problem if you have to wait to long for the next one.
With that said, I will continue to follow the series because it really is good.

Hell Everlasting: Lost Souls Book 2 by Ariel Dawn is a thrilling paranormal romance. Mercy is a lost soul with heaven and hell fighting for her soul. Val is an angel and Endor a demon that are trying to sway Mercy and sometimes even each other.
I really enjoyed the world-building of this series and learned a lot more in this book. There are some twists and turns as this series builds. I enjoyed the tension between the characters Val and Endor.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the release of book 3. If you enjoy paranormal romances, enemies to lovers, angels and demons, magic, and forbidden love you must read Hell Everlasting.

We continue our saga of Valory, Endor and Mercy. Another cliffhanger which is making me very angry. Valory and Endor are doing their best to keep Mercy safe but they lose her along the way to wolf shifters. And Heaven and Hell both want Mercy’s soul but at what cost. Still exciting, very interesting and intriguing and I’m hoping book three is the conclusion. It is a fast read that once started I couldn’t put it down.

Great read. Endor and Valory are on their quest to help Mercy find her body. Then they both have to try and convince her that their home is better than the other. Should be easy right, nope. Nothing in life or death is ever easy. They have to work together and not lose focus since Mercy's life is on the line. Entertaining read from the start, never a dull moment.
This is part of a series and not a standalone. Contains the perfect amount of drama to keep you engaged.

Valory and Endor are back in book two of the Lost Souls series and the battle for Mercy's body and soul. If you read book one Heaven Knows, you know that the angel Valory and the demon Endor are working together to reunite Mercy's soul with her body and things take some dangerous and interesting turns along the way. This is an intriguing storyline with unexpected twists, well developed characters, and a cliffhanger ending that left me ready for the next book in this series. I look forward to reading book three and finding out what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This story continues the saga of Mercy, Endor, and Valory. Endor and Valory are trying their best to keep Mercy and her soul safe so they could claim it but first they have to find her body. But a new danger threatens their plans, a pack of wolf shifters who take Mercy. This twisty tale was an interesting and engaging read that I enjoyed. The characters are likable, and the action and drama were engaging in this copy I received and volunteer to read and review. This does end in a cliffy.

Second chapter in The Lost Souls series, we find Valory, Endor, and Mercy where we left them at the end of book one. Another short but intense story, with Valory and Endor trying their best to help and protect Mercy, find her lost body, and gain her soul for their own side. Easy peasy, right? So, how they end up beaten and without Mercy? Another cliffhanger, after a fast-paced, humorous story full of action, banter and forbidden attraction. Can't wait to get book #3!

The demon Endor and the angel Valory are collaborating to search for Mercy's body, a lost soul. However, Mercy gets kidnapped by a group of werewolves. Due to the venom injected by the werewolves, Endor and Valory become powerless and must find an alternative way to save Mercy. This book has action and some romance, ending with a cliffhanger, darn it. Very highly recommended.

As our angels continue their assignment; tragedy, adventure, lessons in humanity, and a new view on how their respective realms work gives this story an edge on others. There is just enough romance to keep the dream of love alive. Well written with attention to the small details gives this mythical story a realistic edge.

Valory and Endor are two different identities, one is an Angel, the other a demon. Together they’re fighting for a soul. Will they be able to solve the problem in time. This second book definitely didn’t disappoint, definitely captured my attention.
