Weddings are supposed to be joyful, romantic, and deeply photogenic events. But in The Asheville Christmas Wedding, things don’t always go smoothly—because what’s a small-town holiday romance without family drama, last-minute doubts, and the inescapable pull of old feelings that refuse to die quietly?
Our heroine is here to celebrate someone else’s big day—except the universe (and maybe a little Christmas magic) has very different plans for her. She’s standing at the edge of a major life decision, one that should be simple—except there’s him. The one she tried to move on from. The one who absolutely should not be looking at her like that. But as the wedding festivities unfold (read: spiral into organized chaos), she’s forced to confront exactly what she wants from love, commitment, and the future she thought she had all figured out. Meanwhile, our love interest (charming, infuriating, and apparently incapable of staying in the past where he belongs) is dealing with his own very inconvenient realization—sometimes, the love you walked away from is the one you should have held onto.
At 4.5 stars, The Asheville Christmas Wedding is equal parts swoony and stress-inducing, packed with romance, nostalgia, and enough small-town meddling to make you grateful for your own dysfunctional family. You can read it as a standalone, but this wedding (and all its delightful chaos) lands better if you’ve followed the Carolina Christmas series from the start. If you love second chances, complicated hearts, and weddings that come with way more than just floral arrangements, this one belongs on your TBR. And if you think attending a wedding is stressful? Try being in love with someone else while you do it.
