Finding A Home: A Runt's Tale

The sign said, Free Puppies. Mandy gave birth to her last litter of seven puppies. Farmer Johnny has decided to sell the farm and wants to find good homes for the puppies. One by one, the runt’s siblings are chosen for new homes. The runt, who, no matter how many times she is called runt, is determined never to answer to that name, is left behind. The farm has sold, Farmer Johnny, his wife, and Mandy have moved, and the runt is left alone when something disastrous hits. Many questions with no answers raced through her mind. Will she ever have a family of her own? Would she ever get a proper name?
