Wicked War of Mine

TIME FOR PAYBACK

Daelissa's attack on Queens Gate dealt Justin and the resistance a serious blow. The loss of his home and one of their strongest allies seems to mean certain defeat.

Justin isn't about to give up. He embarks on a mission to bring the houses of Daemos to his side and seeks help from Fjoeruss, Mr. Gray himself, even if the odds of success are slim.

As if the pressure isn't already high enough, Justin discovers something even more troubling. Daelissa is already in Seraphina. One silver lining remains: Justin might be able to end the war in one blow if his forces can disable the Grand Nexus before she returns with a Seraphim army.

If the good guys can't shut down the Grand Nexus in time, Daelissa will unleash a can of whoop-ass on Eden the likes of which has never been seen.

Disclaimer: I am one of John Corwin's beta readers, not for any reason other than I love his books.

The series is nearing an end with the first in the real battles with the Seraphim. Before the war begins, Justin must find a way to unite the Daemos houses other than a marriage between his father and the leader of another house and gain their support in the fight against the Seraphim. If anyone can do it it is Justin.

I have to say, that I am going to miss this series when it is over and I hope there will be more stories from the Overworld.

Unfortunately shallow and juvenile. I think the author got in over his head. I'll finish the series, but mostly to see how it ends.

why won’t she just die!

It seems delissia keeps winning Justin and his (I guess ) army keep fighting the good fight but she just is one step ahead going back home to claim her sanity and raise an army of brightlings showing them how much stronger they can be if they fed off humans is her objective, plus taking over Eden and everything everywhere but is excessive force enough to win she thinks so….

Always amazing…

How he can keep all these factoids straight in his mind is incredible. So many different characters with full personalities and gifts and motives. So many different locations. I am in awe….

Must read

Again, I am without words, but this time I am in tears. Eden needs Justin to win, and the odds are against him. Can't wait to see how this gets resolved.

This is where it gets serious for Justin and Alyssa and all of there allies. There is a surprise attack on Queens Gate and in one blow Justin looses his home and is forced to retreat. With the Blue Cloaks, the Nazal, Vampires, and the revived Brightlings all on the side of team Evil it is looking hopeless for the Justin and his allies. The one thing they can do is keep Dealissa from opening the Grand Nexus and bringing through an army of Brightlings. Unfortunately that hope is dashed and now they are facing magic technology and Brightlings that know how to fight. Justin seeks allies within the Deamos and manages to get most of the ruling houses on his side and with the emanate arrival of Dealissa from Sarafina with her army they plan to attack the Grand Nexus and shut it down with her trapped in Sarafina far away from Eden. Though they manage to gain control Dealissa is able to reconnect from Serafina and open the gate causing Justin and his allies to retreat with heavy loses and especially the near fatal injury to Alyssa that cannot be healed by anyone on Eden and a timer counting down on her life. Cannot wait to read the conclusion to this epic journey of Justin and his many friends and allies.

I love this series, the brilliance and masterful mind of John Corwin knows no bounds. I read the first book and was hooked. I went through the first four books in a matter of hours. The characters are memorable. I like Shelton, Elyssa ( In my mind looks like Hayley Williams from Paramore) and Justin are great together. I would love to see the battle scene on the big screen. Also the frat house getting destroyed would be awesome to see. I like the tie in of Moses, that was very crafty. I gurrante if you read the first book, you'll want to read the rest. If you like sci-fi or even a good mystery novel, this series is for you. I am not saying that because John Corwin is my favorite author (after reading book one) but because it is an amazing book series. This series needs to be made into film or at least a TV series, it is that good.

My note to the author, Mr. Corwin I want to thank you for the inspiration you gave me. I started writing back in the late 90's. I got down and didn't think I could write something people would want to read. You book series has given me a second life on writing. I want to thank you for that. My first book will be out in 2020. Again, thank you Mr. Corwin.

Cant believe it took me a year and a half(a bit more) to read this one just because i thought it was the end of the series, yesterday i found out it wasn't so i had to read it right away, can wait to catch up. hope it continue to be just as good, have to catch up to the latest one, glad to be on vacations!!
Oh, and great book, still as funny and action packed, the strategy and "responsibilities" Justin face are annoying, but damn he can not catch a break!and the events at the end, man i never would have thought it would happen now, if it did not happen like 3 books ago, it never would, to my thinking anyway, almost re-read the whole saga, but don't have the patience.

Another great sequel!

Justin and friends continue their quest to defeat the Seraphim and it's vicious leader, the price for victory is a steep cost for all involved.

WOW!!...Seems like I read this one very quickly!! It was very well written. The writing flows very smoothly. Some of my favorite characters have been lost as this series has moved forward. And it has been very intense! I am still very engaged and entertained by this story and I have already started the next book in this series... I am very interested to see how this whole story ends!!
