Amber V. Dalcourt is an author of non-romantic dark fantasy with Lovecraftian undertones. She is the author of the AWAKENING FRACTURED MEMORIES SERIES and is currently working on AWAKENING: PRODIGY. She has recently released AWAKENING FRACTURED MEMORIES VOLUME 1.

Amber was convinced that her childhood home was haunted. Distorted visages made their presence known to those who dared stare into the hallway. This is the first time I have ever read a dark fantasy story. It was rather interesting even though I got confused a little. Reason being I had to stop reading them go back to reading. If I did not stop reading, I would have understood the story better. It's well written and easy to read. It was not as fast paced as I wanted it to be. It was interesting and I liked the storyline.

This is different. It's gamer heaven. I swear I've never read anything like this before and I've read heaps. The reader is right there in the action, practically sitting on the shoulder of the main character as he moves around a house filled with memories, obstacles, his worst nightmares and his fondest loves. Each room of the house contains a different battle and it's bizarre and intriguing, yet riveting at the same time. I found parts of it terrifying and other parts tender and heart wrenching - that's the kind of story it is. The author kept me on my toes the whole time with no moment to rest. It's good, very good and not what you're expecting. Can recommend. Gamers will love it.

DREAM EATER is a very quick read that I did enjoy. I am not a sci-fi kind of reader, so this was a nice way to subtly introduce a reader to that genre. Not saying that it is completely sci-fi just some small elements that help the nightmarish story along.

We follow Dezmond as he enters his once childhood home and where the worst day of his life took place. The moments between brothers were at times touching, as well as the moments with his wife. Then things begin to turn to a darker realm, a darker dream and memory. I absolutely fell in love with Norbert in this story, good or bad, Norbert melted my heart. The dream-eating concept is intriguing and so much more can be developed out of it. Because this was such a short read it is hard to keep going without ruining the experience for future readers.

It amazes me that a story this short was so well developed. Also amazing is that the idea of the story came from a few lines taken out of a dream journal.

Truly immerses you in a dream world that takes you through a journey of love, loss, sorrow, laughter and so much more. This book truly captures what it is to be in the world of dreams in a way I've never seen done so well. Very enjoyable and intriguing read

If only this was just a hair longer, I didn't want it to end. Demons and demon hunters and creatures that eat your dreams, oh my. Eek, including nightmares. This is a really cool book that everyone should want to read. Highly recommended.

This was a very good dark fantasy story. I loved the concept of the DreamEater and Norbet of course. I will be reading more of the Author's other work.

I downloaded a copy of this book on Story Origin in exchange for an honest review. Well... I couldn't really make sense of the story nor could I connect with the characters. I skipped most of it.
