If I could I would give this book 6 stars. Christianity is solely based on grace and grace alone. This book freed up so many doubts that I had within myself and helped me to better see that the Holy Spirit is the only thing that can bring about true change. It brought head knowledge into heart knowledge! I recommend this book to every person, Christian or not.. It will open your eyes to TRUE Christianity.
This book will help anyone whom has ever struggled with a performance driven faith find their freedom in Christ and what he did on the cross! It will lead you through the steps to break out of shame and guilt and bondage from law. Highly recommended this one! It feels good to be set free! “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!” 2 Corinthians 3:17
The easy-to-read but often hard to process book is enough to make any Christian from a legalistic background twitch--the concepts are practically foreign. It was hard to read a lot of this and realize how deeply I was still rooted in legalism, even after 20 years of trying to have a relationship with God.
Expect this book to break your heart (I cried several times), but the authors also help you put it back together by providing pages and pages of biblical truths and verses to help you discover (and live by) grace.
This book helps one examine their life to see how legalistic tendencies may be limiting their relationship with Christ and fellow believers. Very helpful.
