Oh my gosh! Eve did such an amazing job with the first book of this duet! Rue & Isaac’s story starts a little different, he is assigned to be her bodyguard 24/7. He realizes that he’s watched her during a scene at a s3x club, she’s also a high ranking member of the secret society Solitaire.
These two have amazing chemistry and Rue is falling for her bodyguard, who just happens to be fighting the attraction. I like Isaac, he’s a great MMC, and I like Rue too. Eve did an amazing job with this couple, the world building, and all of the things that go on. It all leads to the crazy cliffhanger that we’re met with in this book! Ah! Before you dive in just check the TW, it’s a great story and I’m already ready for book 2!

Isaac and Rue's story is complex and fascinating. It is dark, dangerous and delicious all at once. They are drawn to each other from the moment they met but their relationship is fraught with tension, Isaac and Rue explore their relationship and their love for each other while both being damaged and each bringing baggage to the relationship.
Despite all obstacles thrown in their way, they are drawn to each other in a way that they cannot deny nor resist. They are both passionate and intense and find an understanding in each other that they have never found in anyone else.
In the end their relationship is a powerful and destructive force. Can they survive the fallout from their love?

I was curious about Rue when I first met her in the other story....but this about Rue and Issac. Sparks fly between these two from the very first time they lay eyes on each other. The question is....can they overcome everything that is standing in their way?
So much is going on in this story that you can't stop reading once you start. That ending will have you yelling and going wait what...
This book is fast-paced, hot, intense, and full of intrigue. I can't wait for the next one

So Good!
This book was amazing! I loved the twists and turns and all of the action! My only complaint is that I found this book a year before part 2 comes out, and it has a killer cliffhanger.

Disappointed. It was a great book but when I brought it from Amazon it said it ends in a HEA, it doesn't, it actually ends on a cliff-hanger. now I have to wait 9 months for the next one
