Paradise Acres offers a free home and end of life care to terminal patients who have no family and no where else to go. It's a kindness that Merigwyn is grateful for as she waits for cancer to steal her last breath. But Paradise Acres isn't as welcoming as she expected when she arrives.
The cemetery where she's supposed to be buried has no graves from previous patients. The residents of the town want nothing to do with her. The caretaker of her new home, Amy, carries a sadness and a look of regret in her eyes. And hiking in the woods is forbidden.
To give herself some peace of mind and to take solace in her beliefs, she puts up some wards to keep away evil on the property she's staying. Little does she know that one innocent act will change the lives of everyone in Paradise Acres forever.
Amy is tired of the blood and death. When Merigwyn arrives to stay at the home where dying people meet their end sooner than they expect, she breaches the walls that separates Amy's ability to see outsiders as "them." The woman is full of laughter, light, and hope--something Paradise Acres is in short supply of. But when Merigwyn does the unthinkable and defies him, all hell breaks loose. Now Amy must beg the very person they intended to be their next victim to be their savior.

Excellent horror story with sapphic leads. Well-written, awesome monster with a great back story! And room for another installment. More like this, please.
