While informative in a lot of ways, in others the info was out or date, very dull in explanation, or too cut and dry in how newer gardeners should approach specific tasks.
Not bad for its intended purpose, but anyone who might read it should take some of the information with a grain of salt.
Probably a lot of help for Canadian gardeners, that's where the focus is. There is some info for the northern US, but the things that would be most useful for us are charts and maps that are out-of-date now and therefore unreliable (zones, for example, have changed a lot since this was published).
Crucial book for cold-weather gardening. We live at a fairly high altitude in N. Idaho, and we found this really useful for learning more about how to garden there.
