The way I ate this up... This was the perfect Christmas novella.
Banter? Check.
Cinnamon roll MMC? Check.
Lots of incredible spice? CHECK.

You’ve heard of Christmas miracles right? Well, what about Christmas Terrible?? Maxine is not happy- she’s stuck in a remote cabin with her loved-up friends and the “idiot” Alex. Can Maxine put up with him for the next 48 hours, or will she lose it?
This is Sara’s second book and this novella has it all - savage banter between the two MC’s, enemies to lovers vibes, sizzling chemistry (oh my 🥵). Sara’s dedication ensures that the reader knows exactly what to expect from the very start!
There are so many standout hilarious moments in this story that had me crying laughing. Eight-year old Maxine’s vicious letter to Santa at the start had me choking laughing. Maxine really gives me Elle from Legally Blonde vibes with her love of pink and her need to bring everything bar the kitchen sink for a short break away. And then there’s Alexander…. What can I say? A singer in the deathcore band with a feisty attitude but who’s a big softie at heart 😍. Sara Flavo wrote a pair of main character whose chemistry is spot on without a remote hint of awkwardness within the pages of this stunning holiday novella.
Maxine — I fell in love with her literally upon the first page with the letters to Santa. Let alone when the poor girl has it the roughest trying to get to her newlywed best friends get together at a remote isolated villa.
The moment Alex and Maxine meet at the doors I knew it was going to be a banger. The enemies to lovers trope lover in me was swooning all over this book. The tension was held well throughout until all bets were off and they finally let the feelings fly.
The spice was wonderful and palatable, from the absolutely filthy dirty talk to the way that Alex knew her so well just really allowed this novella to flow like honey. I had a massive laugh when money was exchanged due to bets being held. Like. Absolutely died laughing in real life. Everybody knew it was inevitable.
These holiday novels have been keeping me in the holiday spirit and I am eternally grateful for them. I fear otherwise I would have been a Grinch a while back!

This was a super cute read.
Maxine is looking forward to being tucked away in the woods for Christmas with her friends. She's not looking forward, however, to sharing the experience with Alex. Her mortal enemy and the source of all her frustrations and ire. She hates his guts. Or, at least, that's what she wants him to think.
Alexander has been infatuated with Maxine for years. Pining over her while she pushes him away and openly preaches she hates him with her whole being. He knows he should move in, but even though he's a tattooed deathcore lead singer on the outside, he's a romantic softie on the inside. He can't help what he wants.
There was a lot going on throughout this. It gives strong enemies to lovers vibes in an adorable andhilariousway.
I loved Alex, he was so sweet and love drunk on a woman he couldn't have. I wanted to protect his poor heart lol.
It's definitely a blue-balling slow burn, but once these two snap, it was super hot.

Did I stay up late to finish this book? Why yes I did. Once I had begun to read this book I simply had to read it all. Although it is not very long you know it’s going to be good when you read the dedication.
The spice is 🥵. The banter is 🤣🤣 and the whole vibe of the book is 😍.
Definitely one I will be recommending. I am looking forward to reading more of this authors books.

A great quick spicy read!!! Maxine is the grumpy girl who acts like she hates her crush, but really is obsessed with him! Alex is a rocker who is really just a softie!!! They go on vacation with their friends and are forced to confront their feelings!!! I really enjoyed their story and definitely loved the spice!!! You won’t be disappointed with this quick read!

I received this as an ARC.
This was definitely a cute Christmas story. It had a bit of spice so keep that in mind but the story as a whole was adorable. I loved the characters and the plot was a typical romance theme. I always enjoy the enemies-to-lovers plotline and this was no exception. I highly recommend reading this one, especially if you want to get into the Christmas spirit!!!

Very cute Christmas short. Maxine and Alex are (not really) enemies to lovers. Two couples, Maxine, and Alex go to a lodge to spend Christmas together. Alex is in a band, Maxine had a bad day getting to the lodge. It was really cute and I really liked it.

If you're looking for a foul-mouthed FMC who just can't seem to win, Maxine is it. If you're looking for a man to whisper Russian sweet nothings to you and put you first, Alexander is it. If you're looking for a fast, spicy, forced proximity, enemies to lovers book, Christmas Terrible is IT. Probably not one to read around family on Christmas Day, but live life on the wild side, and you won't be disappointed.

This Novella is fast to read, but not only because it's short. The story itself sucked me in so much, I finished it within a few hours.
Maxine is a female MC that's feisty, confident, strong and independent. But what does Alex awake inside her once she lets him in?
The story is amazing, I love the Christmas vibes and especially love the little Easter eggs hinting at characters from "Poems he wrote" - a fun treat for everyone who has read it.
I can't recommend this book enough! It's short, it's sweet and it helps to fill the waiting for blaster series part 2.
P.S: Of course the sex scenes are AMAZING - but what else could we expect after "Poems he wrote"? Although it is a stand alone, I hope that we get to see Maxine and Alex in the other books of Sara's amazing universe she is creating with her writing. This book definitely deserves its place in there!

Alex has been in love with maxine for years and maxine pretends to hate Alex., but they have kinda got a game going on where he likes to wind maxine up and she pushes him away.
One thing happens and the game is suddenly up and they accept and acknowledge their chemistry.
Such a wonderful little story

Snobby barbie grinch girl so absolutely loves pink clashes with a guy who she hates but…then the truth comes out!!! She doesn’t hate him, he doesn’t hate her but they love each other!!!
My favorite trope in this book: Sunshine guy who is hiding behind a asshole facade who happens to fall inlove with a grumpy “pink grinch” (golden retriever and black cat ship but if you read it you would understand)
This is a slow burn romance, so don’t expect straight up smut since the first page, this book as a actual plot and it’s so good!!!

Lord have mercy!!! There is nothing I ADORE more than all the delicious banter between FMC & MMC. I THRIVE in it. I CRAVE it. I am just OBSESSED with it, and these two delivered amazingly on that.

Enemies to lovers? Say no more.
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a Christmas read this much. It's cute and funny and I absolutely adore Maxine. It's a slow burn romance but once the spice starts, prepare yourself cuz it's hot.
If you read "Poems He Wrote", you'll be pleasantly surprised to find some Easter eggs.

**ARC** I’m a little upset with myself that I took so long to read this but I loved every second. The fact that it was a second chance romance too really got me. I loved that the characters came together and made it next to impossible to deny their attraction. Definitely a great read!

What a fun and spicy holiday novella! Maxine and Alex give off enemies-to-lovers vibes, but the story takes a different twist. Stuck on a Christmas vacation with two sets of married friends, secrets spill, and feelings finally come out. It's got everything—Christmas cheer, friends who are basically family, banter, and lots of spice! Don't miss out on this quick, entertaining read!

This novella packs a punch! Maxine's quick Christmas getaway doesn't start off the greatest. Everything that can go wrong, seems to - and she's not even there yet! Once she get to the cabin she's to share with her close friends, she finds out that her mortal enemy, Alex, is there also. The biggest problem is - she's insanely attracted to him, but her turned her down flat years ago and he seems to love to push her buttons.
Alex has been in love with Maxine for as long as he can remember, but she was always off limits so he worked hard to keep her at arms length to save his own heart. Now that they are the only two not coupled up, maybe he can try to push her buttons in another way and maybe turn a new page in their story. Spoiler alert - he does a excellent job of turning things around for them and the payoff is amazing!!! They are so meant to be and the spice is off the charts! Super fun, fast read with plenty of humorous banter, grumpy-sunshine, enemies to lovers steaminess that keeps those pages turning! I know it's a novella, but I wanted more....definitely will be getting a re-read or twenty!

*this really is an UNbiased review. I’m just that obsessed with Sara Flavo.
Ten billion stars. Infinite stars. There is no rating high enough for this spicy novella.
I have so much to say but I don’t want to give any spoilers. Mostly, I just want more. I want more of this whole story. I felt the same way after Sara’s book Poems He Wrote, as well. Sara writes in a way that you forget you’re reading and you’re thrown into the world of her words.
That’s my favorite thing in the world.
The sexual frustration had me snapping at my husband for no reason? Maxie girls brattiness is contagious, you’ve been warned.
Also, Alex being so big and tough and gruff and also being a complete softie makes me melt. I love how commanding he is but the entire time you know he is just radiating love and affection for Maxine.
This really is the perfect Christmas novella for us spicy girls!
