The US government's most notorious assassin calls all her own shots on what is supposed to be a two-week vacation in Costa Rica. Her childhood best friend and ex-battle buddy celebrate their one-year anniversary in paradise, a nearly catastrophic accident introduces Sprocket to a sexy man who has more to bring to the table than his good looks and smooth talk. Agent Sprocket holds no punches as she takes on the big bad world and refuses to take out one of her own trainees, Agent Moore. Could this end up being a terrible choice, or will becoming more human and building relationships with others be her saving grace? Can Sprocket handle life off the edge? What will she do when the world goes crazier than her? When the biters take over, all that's left is death and survival.
I give this a 3.5 star rating. I would have given it 4 but there were some gaps that still left me with questions even after the ending, which wrapped up all but one thing for me and that one thing has me really stuck. Otherwise, the writing is engaging and keeps you wanting more. I think it was a great end to Agent Moore series and a great beginning to Agent Ivory, which has nothing to do with the incident that I mentioned above that left me with questions. Giant circle of confusion this review is, I know, but I'm trying not to give anything away.
