Let It Rain #1

Seven Days In Seattle

Rate this book
One week. No strings. No names. No feelings. What could go wrong?

Rain

This Seattle meeting will change my life…just not the way I expected.

Instead of focusing on my presentation, I’m dealing with a cheating boyfriend and sister who bailed on me. The only good thing to happen is when a stranger at a bar offers a pretty distraction: a one-night stand, no strings attached, no questions asked. A distraction from my mess of a life is exactly what I need….

But our one-night stand turns into a week-long affair. He only wanted sex, no feelings, no last names, no talk about business, nothing personal. And I was fine with that. Until I wasn’t.

Nik

I don’t have time for relationships. I have a company to run, a legacy to uphold, a reputation to protect. I only care about power and success. I don’t do dates and I don’t do tomorrows. I only do one-night stands with women who know the rules and don’t ask for more.

But then I met Rain at a bar. She’s beautiful, smart, and sassy. And suddenly, I want more. The more time we spend together, the more I want from her. Her name. Her story. Her dreams. And I was fine with that. Until I wasn’t.

Fate is about to punish us for staying anonymous…by throwing us into each other’s lives in the worst possible way.

Let It Rain

This was too good!!! Entirely too good. I ate the up, couldn’t put it down and I’m desperate for the next part. This was absolutely everything you want in a vacation, only for the moment romance. And baby the brothers!!!! They way the brothers acted was absolutely the made from scratch vanilla bean ice cream on top of this soft in the middle, crispy edges gooey chocolate chip cookie of a book!! I was trying my best to keep track of the names and things because I had a feeling about the ending, but what absolutely has me wrecked is that excerpt for book 2 cause baby I have absolutely never wanted to read the trope that I think we’re getting into but I’m definitely about to dive into book 2 and read until I either pass out or finish the next book.

Rain and Nik were absolutely perfect to me and I spent the whole book yelling at them, wanting them to choose each other.

Rain is unlike any FMC I have ever read, all that she was carrying made me want to take a load off of her myself. I could tell that her and Parker's relationship was special by the way she kept comparing him to Nik. I felt for him, seems like she was trying to choose the better man the whole time.

My favorite part of the book were Nik's brothers. They were everything Rain needed while she was in Seattle, they protected her and treated her like their own, unlike her sister. Rok had me cracking up when he told Nik, he would've been walking Rain down the aisle.

Ms. Rita, come to the front because this ending had me screaminggggg! I could not believe you did me like that! I can't wait to read book two, I NEED to know what happens in the world of Rain, Nik, and Parker.

One thing Rita Gordon will do is write a FMC who is strong and powerful who also lives by the motto “YOLO” when it comes down to men! Whew. Once I picked this up I couldn’t put it down.

Raven “Rain” finds herself in a seven day “situation” with Noah “Nik” when the “one night stand” gets extended. Still agreeing to no personal info shared, 7 days only, no strings attached, this book is filled with lots of love, even if only temporary, and SPICE 🌶️😮‍💨. It was beautiful to see how both MCs could admit where they fell short in the dating scene before meeting, then seeing them both slowly change but making sure to take care of each other during the limited time they shared together.

I can’t wait to see what book #2 in the series holds and the character development after experiencing something like they did.

I could not put this down! It only took me a few hours to read and I immediately went looking for book 2. I do understand that this was a series, but I feel like it could’ve been great to do this as a full length standalone. The cliffhanger was very abrupt, and I did not care for that at all. But the drama and Nik‘s character development really made me hold on. I’m also desperate to know what happens between rain and her sister and what the investigation of their dad comes up with. The drama kept unfolding and I was sucked in. Nik was charming and his brothers were perfect. Rain was layered and multifaceted. It all shaped up to be a really good read… Except for the way the cliffhanger was written. Nonetheless this was a great start to my 2026 reads and another new author to continue to check for!

Seven Days in Seattle by Rita Gordon took me on a swoony and magical journey that had me giggling, blushing, and cheering for Rain and charming Nik. From the captivating setting of Seattle to the heartwarming brotherly love, this book is an absolute delight.

This book effortlessly drew me into the world of Nik and Rain, where sparks fly and emotions run high. Nik, with his smexy British accent and billionaire charm, is sure to steal your heart from the very first page. The banter between them is both fun and heartfelt, and kept me hooked until the very end.

There is such a perfect blend of romance, humor, and heartfelt moments, "Seven Days in Seattle" is a must-read. OMG, I can't wait to dive into book two and continue the journey with Nik and Rain after an amazing ending.

What can I say? I’m excited to introduce Seven Days in Seattle, Book 1 of the “Let it Rain” series. If you are looking for a good story, opulent travel, and spice--look no further. Throw in a handsome billionaire with a sexy British accent, and turn up the dial. Settle in because the story continues in this three-book series that won’t disappoint.

Raven Nichols’ life is a mess. She flies to Seattle looking to recover from a breakup and reconnect with her sister the week before a career-defining meeting. However, her sister cancels upon arrival, leaving Raven to explore the city alone. Then, one night, she meets a handsome stranger at a bar. They strike a deal: one night, no names, no strings, just sex. Indulging in a one-night stand with a billionaire bad boy seems like the perfect distraction to her mess of a life. However, their one-night stand turns into a week-long affair. They thought they could walk away without consequences. They were wrong.

Seven Days In Seattle will be available in hardcover, paperback, and eBook on February 6, 2024. You can pre-order it online.

In her latest novel, Rita Gordon introduces Rain, a powerhouse female protagonist whose one night stand turns into a sultry seven-day affair with bad boy billionaire, Nik. While romance is at the forefront, Gordon skillfully weaves in a bit of mystery, making Rain a complex and relatable character with an intriguing backstory.

Through Rain's affair, we have the opportunity to explore the opulent side of Seattle, as only the rich and famous could. The scenes, art, and food are vividly described, offering a first-class armchair travel experience. Yet despite the glamorous setting, Gordon keeps the story grounded and relatable, showcasing the complexities of Rain’s ordinary hopes and desires.

The spicy romance between Rain and Nik will absolutely make readers blush – and leave them craving more. "Seven Days in Seattle" is a sexy, binge-worthy escape into a world of passion, mystery, and the enchanting allure of the rainy city.

*sigh*…so deep down I wanna give this book 2 stars. But I’ll settle on 3. I loved Nik,the MMC, a lot. Bout his business and a man of his word. What I did not love was Rain and her cringy codependent relationship with her best friend. (One I’m not a fan of IR books so that’s A start) but also like…if ya’ll love each other THAT MUCH then just be together???? Like it was just a no for me. Also there’s a difference between whirlwind romance and a TORNADO cause how y’all go from we not talking no more after a one night stand to you moving in with him for a week?? But like the book ended on a cliff hanger so now I feel forced to finish the series 😭😭

Obsessed with both Rain and Nik. I will say you know what’s going to happen in the end but I hoped it would come sooner so we could get more of the story. I’m am very anxious for book 2. I don’t know enough about Parker but biased on 1 week I’m team Nik. I do have so many questions about Parker and Rain’s past that I’m hoping her answered in book 2. It’s obvious that she and Parker care deeply for each other so I can’t totally dismiss him but after the week Nik gave her…. I can’t wait for more of their relationship

A glimpse into a week in the life of a woman ready to take charge of her life, own her decisions, and take her pleasure from the handsome man willing and eager to serve! The heat served up in this book almost made me forget the storm raging inside Rain, the FMC.
As far as book boyfriends go, the MMC, Nik is top tier. At some point all I could think was "Pick Nik. Choose Nik. Love Nik: Lol!
The chemistry between these two in those Seven Days in Seattle are *chef's kiss.

Feels like I went to Seattle

I enjoyed reading this book. The chemistry between Nik (without a c) and Rain was hot 🔥. I enjoyed everything from the plans Nic made, meeting his brothers, and seeing how Rain dealt with issues from her past. After finishing this book, I immediately went to see if the next book in the series was available.

It’s my first book by Rita Gordon, and it was a great palate cleanser. I enjoy a strong FMC, and MMC who’s delusional and in. love with so much denial 🤣.

The book ended how I kind of predicted and cliff hanger

Just finished and I am not okay 😭
I never thought I would have two book boyfriends in the same book. At times I was like okay Nik is the one, but what about Parker!! I could literally feel the stress having to choose between two good men the ENTIRE book. Praying for my girl Rain. I can’t wait for book 2!!
