A Moon Goddess chosen Luna has finally emerged after five hundred long years. However, there are those who do not agree with the Moon Goddess’s choice. There are those who much rather stay in their old ways and not adhere to the Goddess’s will.
Sage wants to be a normal wolf but the Moon Goddess has other plans for her. The night that she reveals as the Luna is also the same night that her whole world gets turned on its axis. An attack on the wolves by an unknown force quickly becomes a massacre.
The wolves and her mates shun Sage, blaming her for the attack. Forced to endear her lonely journey with just her one faithful mate, Jameson, by her side. Five cruel years pass and the time for her mate ceremony is close at hand.
Will she be forced into a mate bond with cruel Alphas? Or will they finally realize who the true enemy is?
Maverick, Ace, and Hunter have their work cut out for them if they have any chance at all of redeeming themselves to their Luna, that's for sure.
This book is about self-discovery, found-family, and second chances because life is too short to walk around with hate in your heart. As always there is an undertone of humor mixed within the grief.
This book has multiple love interests where the FMC gets then all there is also bisexual awakening, and polyamory relationships that develop through the story. This book is also interconnected with the moon goddess chosen series and characters from this book will show back up in other books. CW/TW in book

This book has kept me on the edge of my seat. I will warn you there are trigger warnings for people, please read before you read the book. For those of you that the triggers do not bother, oh my goodness the characters are amazing. I am in love with all of them. I thought I was going to have a favorite character but just when I thought I did I would fall in love with someone else. I had a hard time putting this book down and then all of the sudden it ended. I was like WTF!!!!!! I so cannot wait for the next book. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Interesting rh, wolf shifters, fated mates, mission from a Goddess, omega and alpha. Spoilers: Our heroine, Sage, is a young wolf shifter who at 13, was declared a chosen one. She's assigned 5 mates by the fates and each one will increase her powers if they mate. A vicious assault hits their pack and kills many of her pack including her parents and one of her mates. This leaves the pack demoralized and they turn on Sage. Only one of her mates supports her during the next five years until her official mating ceremony. Sage exhibits three separate personalities, an alpha, an omega and just her. The three jump in and out causing reader whiplash. Her negligent mates realize they were wrong and try to win her back with varying successes. As the story develops it appears the pack elders have been sabotaging Sage and her mates, and maybe Asher, her lost mate, is still alive. This is an ongoing saga and this book describes the turmoil of their attempts to heal their mating pack. The volume is full of misused words, typos, and punctuation errors. The sex scenes are frenetic and brow raising. A continuity editor would help. But it's still a decent plot so onto the next I go.
Very enjoyable read, and I would definitely recommend it.
The multiple POV was amazing, and the transitions between the characters were smoothly done. The storyline had edge of your sit twists and turns, and the relationship dynamics and struggles can be and are relatable.
The emotional rollercoaster I feel like I’ve gone through with this book is unbelievable! I absolutely loved this book. This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Sage goes through a lot throughout this book. My heart broke for her throughout the book because she could never catch a break. You get to see Sage struggle with that but also her instincts since she is an alpha and an omega. Two opposites constantly wanting different things.

Jameson was always Sage’s rock through thick and thin. He showed a Strong front for Sage but he also felt so much! I loved seeing his interactions with the other guys. He helps them all open their eyes to all the things that have happened because of choices they chose to make.
I absolutely loved Hunter's growth throughout the book. He struggles at the start but when you see how he is with Sage you can’t help but love him and all his silliness.
Ace has a lot of things he needs Sage to forgive him for at the start and the road for both him and Sage continues to get even bumpier. I loved seeing Jameson and Ace together! I also loved seeing Ace grow towards the end and finally get himself together!
I absolutely loved Maverick and seeing him struggle with wanting to go to sage but not thinking he was enough broke. Seeing him grow from a shy and reserved man and speaking out for himself was amazing.
The multiple POV was amazing, and the transitions between the characters were smoothly done. The storyline had edge of your seat twists and turns, and the relationship dynamics and struggles can be and are relatable.
I cannot wait for the next book especially after the cliffhanger. I highly recommend it to everyone.
The emotional rollercoaster I feel like I’ve went through with this book!! Is unbelievable!
I absolutely fudging loved this book!!! Sage goes through a lot throughout this book. I feel like Sage is a relatable character. Life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and when there is a lot of bad things happening back to back, it’s hard to deal with and understand the emotions you’re feeling. My heart broke for her throughout the book because she could never catch a break. You get to see Sage struggle with that but also her instincts since she is an alpha and an omega. Two opposite constantly wanting different things.
Jameson was always Sage’s rock through thick and thin. He showed a Strong front for Sage but he also felt so much! I loved seeing his interactions with the other guys. He helps them all open their eyes to all the things that have happened because of choices they chose to make. Seeing him and Sage on the outs… Oml did it make me cry a bit!
“You never needed me Jameson. You were always the stronger of the two of us. I was always the one that needed you”
Specifically this quote 😫
Hunter. Boy, oh boy did I like hunter at the start….. Big Nope! Did I love him at the end…. HELL FRICKING YEAHS!!!! I absolutely loved Hunters growth throughout the book!! I won’t lie a part of me loved seeing him struggle at the start ( because he deserved it for everything he put Sage through!!!!!) but when you see how he is with Sage you can’t help but love him and all his goofyness 😆!
Ace has a lot of things he needs Sage to forgive him for at the start and the road for both him and Sage continues to get even bumpier when a certain thing happens. I loved seeing Jameson and Ace together! I also loved seeing Ace grow towards the end and finally get himself together!
Maverick… Oh Maverick did my heart break for him!!!! Absolutely! I absolutely loved the hell out of Maverick and seeing him struggle with wanting to go to sage but not thinking he was enough broke my heart!!!! He is definitely one of my favourite characters!! And seeing him grow from the shy and reserved man and speaking out for himself was amazing!!
I can not wait for the next book especially after the cliffhanger!!!! I need to know more!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK 💯💯🖤
This is a first time read for me by this author and it definitely won't be the last! This book was everything and more. I was hooked from the start, not wanting to put it down for a minute, page after page I just kept turning needing to know more, about sage and her men. It's such a emotional rollercoaster ride that has many twists and turns you don't see coming at all.
I was up and down with my emotions, one minute I'm laughing along with them, angry the next and crying the other. But it was all worth it. it's action packed with so much drama, loss, hurt, spice, journeys and so much more. The characters, storyline, side characters and plot where written wonderfully. The world building in this book was top notch. I loved having the multiple pov's always nice to hear from all parties in the book.
We are introduced to sage in the book when she was a young pup, living with her parents and just living her best life, until one night when she gets her wolf and is chosen to be the next Luna, all hell breaks lose, and they are attacked. That night alot off the pack lost their life's.
Sage gains not only the Luna role, but also 5 fated mates. Jameson, hunter, ace, maverick and archer.
Jameson has been by her side forever, he's her rock through all this pain and hurt.
Archer is missing and presumed dead!
And the other 3 well they put her through hell. Not knowing exactly what the elders are putting her through. But that's all about to change, with some groveling and proving themselves, they will be by her side like they always should have been, without the meddling of others. They have such a battle on their hands, but if they stick together will they come out on top? Grab the book and find out.. you won't be disappointed. And girl that ending 😱 I need the next part like now!! Highly recommend.
“Just go, Jameson,” I try to pull my hand from his but he’s stubborn. “I still need you,” he whispers hoarsely like he can hear the very thoughts racing through my mind. “You never needed me, Jameson. You were always the stronger of the two of us. I was always the one that needed you,” I murmur as I feel his hand release mine and he’s forced to leave as well."🥺
I’ll be honest in saying I almost dnf in the beginning because of the writing style and grammar, which isn't something I often do as an ARC reviewer. HOWEVER, I am so glad I kept going.
At first, I thought this would just be another Wattpad-ish story. Those who write smut about werewolves and vampires tend to ride a thin line. But the plot and storyline didn't give me Wattpad at all.
This book had such an engaging storyline, and so many twists and turns. Not to mention the spice 🥵. I wouldn't read this if you're sensitive to spice though, because there is a sex scene in like every chapter. I did wish there was a tad more emotion in the sex, but I also know these are people driven by animalistic desire. So I'll let that one go.
Overall, I enjoyed it. It could use a few edits for grammar and writing purposes, but other than that it's good.
3/10 recommend unless the grammar is fixed, then 6/10.
Releases December 8!
(Keep in mind this one was really hard for me to rate.)
I was introduced to Sage, Jameson, Maverick, Ace and Hunter in another book by this author and was intrigued by them and their interactions. I am so glad I was able to read their story as it did not disappoint. Sage is Moon Goddess chosen Luna who is destined to have five mates. It’s supposed to be a time of celebration and good fortune. However, that is not Sage’s story.
I loved Sage. My heart broke for her in the first few chapters. She suffers a tremendous loss and only has her childhood friend, Jameson, as a source of comfort. Sage is picked on and blamed for a pack tragedy that was not caused by her. Her mates add to this misery. I will not give any spoilers, but I will say I really was not a fan of Maverick, Ace, and Hunter. They did not deserve Sage and in my opinion almost unredeemable. As the story progressed, they changed my mind.
This author ability to world build and bring out emotions in the characters is top notch. Plus, her smexy times are hot, hot, hot. This book does have a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read the next installment. Her books are a must read.
Let me start off by saying this is my first book by Jennifer Carter and it definitely won’t be the last. This story is jammed packed with drama, action, and suspense. It pulled me in and didn’t let go as I journeyed alongside Sage and her mates story. Sage is this incredible sweet, strong, and caring shifter. We see her going through struggles and challenges from a young age. Then we have her mates that cause her grief at times. You can feel her pain throughout the story and your heart just breaks for her. As the story progresses we see growth and you are absolutely cheering her on. I will say sometimes you wanted to yell at her and tell her to stand up for herself. This feeling definitely adds to the drama and suspense of the story. It is extremely well written and developed. I loved the originality of the story as it makes it so intriguing. The flow of the story is superb and keeps you engaged with it. Then we get to that major cliffhanger and boy I absolutely can’t wait for the next book to see what happens. This is absolutely a must read and will not disappoint.
Moon Goddess chooses a Luna after a very long time
Sage suddenly finds herself being told by the Moon Goddess that she will be the next Luna. It has been a long time since this has happened and she isn't sure how to feel about it. Shortly after this there is an attack on the town that causes so much death and turmoil upon the community.
Sage as the Luna is also given five mates. However, on this day she also loses her entire family. With the council now blaming her for everything that has happened, her mates begin to turn their backs on her. With only one mate still by her side she must survive all the loss, pain and rejection.
This book is dark and intense. The Luna and her pack must find a way to come together and overcome all their faults, doubts and insecurities because something is coming and they have no idea what.
That ending was something else and now I am off to jump into book two because I need more answers.
Jennifer Carter killed it in this book! There is so much drama and suspense that just pulls you in with the characters and the story. Sage is such a wonderful character, she is a wolf shifter and her story is such a powerful and a strong one. & the other characters do not disappoint in this story either. However, they can highly frustrate you, which is why i gave this book 4 stars.
However, even though the story was a kind of quick one, it was jam packed with spice, intrigue, suspense, drama, and even humor. There was so much in this short read & you could actually feel for Sage during the whole story. I’m hyped for the next installment!
I received this book as a free copy, and I am writing this honest review voluntarily!
I loved the story of Sage being blessed by the Moon Goddess as the Luna who has both alpha and omega tendencies. This was such a cool idea and I enjoyed how these two sides of her made Sage such a chaotic character. Sage's Alphas were absolute a-holes at the start but they grovelled good 😍 the only one that I'm still not 100% sold on is Ace. This story was all about the relationship development and it was so good! I liked how Sage didn't immediately forgive the Alphas for the past and its really shown how forgiveness might not always be quick and easy to give. I can't wait to see what's next as I can tell things are going to get even more chaotic soon 😆
This is the first installment in this series and I was delightfully surprised!
My heart ached for the FMC and her story, and the multi POV allowed for a glimpse into the stories of those that have loved her and wronged her.
So far, this installment shows how damaging manipulations of certain situations can be, and it sets the tone for some great redemption stories to come!
This is a fast-paced read, has great representation for mental health, has a great variety of characters, has lots of humor and even more spice, and is an overall great read!
The future prospects of this series are so excited, I cannot wait to see what this author does!
Echoes In The Moonlight is Book 1 in The Moon Goddess Chosen Series. This book was so good. I was either impatiently wanting to turn the page or sitting on the edge of my seat while reading. I loved the whole story. The characters are written beautifully. My heart broke for Sage. She is the chosen Luna. She is destined for something great. She has chosen protectors. It’s hard being shunned by your pack and your mates. Will they work out their issues and come together? You will have to read it to find out! I cannot wait for Book 2!
As always be mindful of trigger warnings, what I like you may not.
This book is about Sage and Jameson. They have been best friends for a long time. They love each other as more than friends and he has always been there to protect her. When they were younger there was a massacre in their town. Most people lost their families. They blamed Sage even though it wasn’t her fault. They blamed her because she was chosen as the newest Luna. The other characters are Ace, maverick and hunter. They were all supposed to be looking out for her as her alphas but they failed. Great book.
If you have any triggers, please make sure that you read them.
This is a book about a strong Alpha/Omega Luna and the people who want to build her up and take her down. I loved that Sage had withstood a lot and that she was needing to rely on people. Some that let her down. Those people were lied to and were being used. Why, because they didn't want a strong woman in charge. Didn't like that there was a cliffhanger, but it made it all worth while.
This book had an interesting take on wolf shifters. I love that at the beginning, there is a section that simply lays out the dynamics of the different roles (alpha, luna, etc). There is love, cheating, betrayal, growth, forgiveness, and a whole lot of spice. Did I mention the wolves? Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes a good wolf/shifter story.
Some may love the book but I found that there was more xxx in it then there was a true story line and that's fine for the authors writing style but i felt that it made the story line of finding Archer a little lost. There is the suspense of what has happeded to the missing Alpha so i'll pick up the next books just so i can know what happened
A premeditated plan that destroys many lives. This book is so well written and exciting that I dived back into it as soon as I had the time. Power brings out the ugliest in people and this book with shifters is no different. I continue to hope that everything will work out for Sage and that they will be reunited with Archer.
This was a really great read! I enjoyed the plot and definitely the spice, however, the luna/omega Sage could have been alot stronger instead of a weakling. She was an alpha after all. She was just too whiney to me and it made the story a little boring. Still a great plot and loved the spice!
This was definitely an interesting read, more out of my usual comfort zone. I did enjoy the story over all - there were just some things mentioned in the story that I wasn't exactly a fan of. Overall, definitely worth a read.
If you love anything paranormal or werewolf this is the book for you. The twists and turns in this book keep you on the edge of your seat. A must read!
they solve everything by dicking it out. literally. about 80% of the book is her dicking someone. its not a bad book if you're looking for knotting and dicks.
"Echoes in the Moonlight" by Jennifer Carter brings a delightful kaleidoscope of perspectives, offering deeper insights into the characters through multiple POVs. Carter's improved writing style and fewer errors showcase her growth as an author. The seamless interlinking with her previous work, "A Tale of the Crimson Wolf," adds depth to the narrative.
However, as much as the allure of the omegaverse draws us in, this time I found myself thinking, "Wait, where did the story go?" Amidst the sizzling scenes, I wished for a more balanced narrative. It felt like some essential details were lost in the shuffle. But let's not overlook the fun—I mean, who isn't a bit curious for that spicy element? Yet, here it seemed to take center stage, leaving the storyline a bit underdeveloped. Despite this, the book remains an enjoyable read.
I knew Jennifer was going to hit me right in the gut sooner or later, this one was it. The FMC deserved so much more, all that pain she went through, I wouldn’t be able to think straight. But being Luna, she stood her ground!
This omegaverse is just straight hot and spicyyyyy, I wish these shifters were aquatic, cause I need some water directly poured all over me.
The Luna does not disappoint! Sage is such a strong and Amazing character that you can’t Help but love! The roller coaster Of emotions and events keeps You on the edge of your seat until The very end! Loose yourself In the drama and love that is Echos in the Moonlight
The emotional rollercoaster I feel like I’ve went through with this book!! Is unbelievable!
