A Very Grumpy Valentine's Day is a short, sweet and steamy, instalove, OTT, grumpy-sunshine, he falls first, curvy girl gets her ex-military man. Mira is a sweet and shy curvy girl who moved to Wolf Valley to get away from her controlling mother. Townes is a hunky, grumpy, ex-military man who fell for Mira when her first saw her but couldn't approach her. He just wants to love and protect her. When she gets sick, he takes care of her, and they start dating. But she is still nervous due to prior control of her mom. Will she realize he just wants to love her and keep her safe? They had great chemistry, and we got a super sweet ending. I loved it!!.

This was a super sweet Valentine’s Day story that you can zoom through while also getting your romance kick. I love a good he falls firsts, and let me tell you that Townes was crazy for Mira. It was so cute with a little bit of steam, and maybe a touch of crying.😭😂

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Townes and Mira met five months ago when she first moved to Wolfe Valley. Mira was trying to get away from her overbearing mother who tried to control her life. When Mira moves to Wolfe Valley Townes is always watching over her. When one of Mira's co-workers gets sick Townes wants Mira to go home and rest. A few days later when Mira does't show up for work Townes gets worried when he finds out she's home sick he goes to her apartment. Mira doesn't let Townes into her apartment at first but he tells her he'll stay and keep knocking until she does. Townes takes care of Mira by going and getting her a few things at the grocery store. Townes shows up and cooks soup for Mira when he doesn't leave she sits on the couch with him. Soon Mira falls asleep and Townes does too. When Mira wakes up she's on top of Townes on her to small couch. Mira tries to get up but Townes won't let her. Soon Townes realizes he's holding her and lets her go. Mira tells Townes she's feeling much better. Townes goes to leave but asks Mira if he can take her out on a date, but she's working so they have to make it another night. Townes shows up at Mira's apartment and takes her to a nice restaurant in Rosewood. Mira's never been to Rosewood and is admiring the shops when Townes asks her if she wants to check them out. After their date Townes asks Mira out again and she tells him she's working and so he suggests another night. Townes goes to pick up Mira and takes her to his home to cook for her. While preparing their meal Mira tries to help but Townes insists he does the cooking. They end up spilling sauce all over Mira's dress, so he tells her to go take a shower and he'll wash her dress. While Mira's in the shower she thinks she wants to take their relationship to the next level so she walks out to him in just her towel. Townes is shocked when he sees Mira, but then ask her if this is what she wants. Townes kisses Mira then takes her to his bedroom where he pleasures her and then they make love. When Mira wakes up Townes tells her to go back to bed, but she has things she needs to do. Mira gets ready to go home and grabs her dress but Townes insists she wears something of his home since he didn't get to wash her dress. Townes takes Mira dinner while she's working and notices something is wrong he thinks it's just because she's tired from working. When Townes wants to see Mira the following day she tells him she has things she needs to get done at her apartment. Townes head to the grocery store since Mira has the next two days off and finds out it's soon Valentine's Day so he grabs some of Mira's favorite things. Later that night when Townes sends Mira a text message she doesn't reply. Mira shows up for work a few days later, she knows she's going to have to face Townes. When Townes comes in Mira's boss tells her she can have a few minutes with him. Mira tells Townes she needs some time to think, she needs things to slow down between them. Mira wants her independence and Townes isn't letting her have it, it's why she left her mother's home. Mira knows she broke Townes's heart along with her own. Townes keeps an eye on Mira for the next few days, he wants to make sure she's safe. When Valentine's Day comes, Townes has had enough he takes the flowers and candy he bought for her and goes to her apartment. When Mira opens the door she thinks it's the pizza guy, but Townes is standing there. Townes gives Mira the candy and flowers. Mira's phone rings and when she answers it Townes realizes it's her mother. Townes knows what her mother did to her so he takes Mira's phone and tells her mother not to call again. Townes tells Mira that he loves her and she tells him she loves him too. Mira tells Townes she realizes he's not like her mother he loves her. Townes tells Mira he'll try not to control her but they'll work on their relationship together. Five years later, Townes and Mira are married and have a son, Noah. When Mira gets home their son is sick so Townes takes care of him. Townes is making them dinner so that they can have a night for themselves. When Townes comes to find Mira in the bathroom nauseous he thinks she getting sick. Mira hands Townes a present and tells him to open it. Inside is a pregnancy test and it's positive. Townes is happy he's going to be a father again.

Her move to Wolf Valley is just what Mira needs, but what’s she’s not sure of is the protective Townes (H) who seems to be everywhere she looks. Former Army Ranger Townes instantly fell for Mira the moment he saw her months before but hasn’t worked up the courage to let her know how he feels about her. Things change between the two when Townes provides her with her with TLC when she’s sick and they start going on dates. Mira struggles with his protective nature, feeling that it’s too close to the controlling behavior’s she grew up with from her mother. Townes is just a sweet, caring kind of guy and it takes a bit of heart break for Mira to be able to see that Townes actions are coming from a completely different place than her mother’s actions. Hot and steamy instalove, curvy girl, romantic quickie with a protective, caring grump and a bit of angst.

I just finished reading an amazing book! I loved the characters, the plot, and the way it made me feel. The main character, Mira, has had a very sheltered life due to her narcissistic mother, which has left her inexperienced and shy. Then there's Townes, an ex-military, who is observant and caring. He gets the vibe from Mira as her needing someone to take care of her, but she interprets it as him being controlling and bulldozing. Despite this, Townes is determined to show Mira that they are perfect for each other. He gives her space and independence to help her realize that her self-worth doesn't depend on her mother's opinions. The way these two are finding their way to a HEA is funny, cozy, and spicy all at once.

Mira was raised by an OCD mother who refuses to leave her home. When Mira turns 20 she's had enough and she leaves her mother behind and ends up in Wolf Valley. She's finally happy, living her life her way without someone telling her what and when to do it. Until Townes Monroe sees her and and it's instalove for him. He wants to protect her, take care of her and love her, but she sees him as another person to boss her around. Can Townes get her to see that he loves her, and not the bossy grump she thinks she is. Excellent Valentine's story, fast and steamy hot, Townes and Mira have great chemistry and it's a great read.

Mira has finally left her mother. Her mother has severe OCD and it has affected Mira her whole life. From the moment Townes saw Mira, he was in love with her. He follows her around and walks her home. When Townes hears that Mira is sick, he rushes to take care of her.
When Townes finally gets the nerve to ask her out, both are happy about it. While their dating seems to go smoothly, Mira starts to resent Townes’s bossy demeanor. She feels that he is trying to control her like her mother did. Mira struggles with this as does Townes.
I love this author’s books. This book is a wonderful instalove with a plus-sized woman. The steam in this book is at the perfect level!.

After months of looking out for Mira, Townes finally makes his move. Mira has conflicting feelings about Townes’ attention but decides to give him a chance. Townes is such a sweetheart. He can be a bit bossy but deep down just wants to take care of Mira. After years of enduring her Mom’s OCD and control issues, she’s finally carved out her own life while discovering herself. With their relationship moving so fast, Mira’s worries that Townes just wants to control her has her pushing him away. Will she be able to see Townes care comes from a place of love and is nothing like her mom’s overbearing ways. And can Townes respect her need for some independence.

To be honest this was a bit hard to get through. Mira has trauma from living with a mom who has OCD. This made her move out at 18 and start to explore what life had to offer. Townes is very bossy but it comes from a place of love. Mira struggled to separate his bossiness from the way her mom used to act so she asked him for space. This was super frustrating. I feel like she maybe could have handled things better. It was a good book, well written, the story flowed and overall I can see this appealing to some people but it just wasn’t for me.

We meet Townes in A Very Grumpy Best Friend (Foster & Lilliana’s book) and I really liked the guy. I knew I needed to see how he was with the FMC Mira in this book. I thought it was super cute that he would wait for her to get off work and walk her home. The caretaking was 10/10 in this book 🥹 However, I feel like with all he knew about her he should have known it could be triggering him being around all the time and trying to get her to date him. I got a bit annoyed with the dude if I’m being completely honest 🤣

Mira was stifled growing up, her mother had OCD and kept her away from the world. She left and moved to a new town and has some friends. She as also attracted the attention of Townes Monroe, he is bossy and grumpy. He always seems to be around, telling what she should do. One day he asks her out to dinner and she says yes.

If she thought he was bossy before, now he is always there, never giving her any space. But she does not want him to completely leave her alone.

This was a good book but not one of my favorites from Shaw. While I enjoyed the intense chemistry between Townes and Mira; I feel as though the connection was mostly one sided. Townes is obsessed with Mira and wants to take of her while Mira wants to stand on her own. These two have some serious things to work out but thankfully these two get an HEA.

A sweet Valentine’s themed quick read with a bit of angst and steamy moments. Mira and Townes both have traumatic childhood experiences. Townes is endearingly obsessed with Mira. Because of her past Mira, struggles with what she sees as his controlling behavior. Can Townes convince her of his love? Can Mira find a way to accept his love? I enjoyed this small town vibe romance. Can’t wait for more!

Emotional roller coaster for our man Townes. This story is sexy and dramatic in an emotional way. There’s no ow drama just Mira not knowing what to do at times. Townes is head over heels for Mira and he shows it by being there for her when she needs it. He’s a complete catch. Mira kind of annoyed me at times. However, it’s a great smutty story.

Growing pains for this new found freedom and beginning of a new relationship. Enjoyed how they both are trying to be better together, but still too afraid to speak their minds. She's trying to distance herself from a controlling situation. Townes is going to have to show her there's a difference between control and taking care of someone. I liked both of the characters and how things played out between them. It's a short romance, but still a good storyline

But he is bossy and steamrolls her , but with good intentions. But Mira is afraid she will get bossed around again by someone else so she pushed him away. Townes is in love and will try anything to give Mira what she wants and needs.

I felt so much for Mira and her hard won independence. After a difficult upbringing, she is finally out living her life and finding herself. Of course, when Townes finally asks her out, she struggles with how that affects her independence. Luckily they figure it out and find their happily ever after. Short, sweet and a little steamy!

Hmmm the verdict is still out on this Author. This is the first book of hers I've read.

Townes and Mira had some cute parts but also some of the things Townes did were kind of creepy. Like stalkerish. All in all it wasn't too bad and I'm kind of glad they found each other. Two broken souls if you want to call it that found each other.
