meh Anna and Scott. I never felt their chemistry. Story was not bad, ticked most of the angsty dr baby daddy boxes. Maybe the best part was when Anna gives birth in a store while shopping for baby clothes with preg. friend, Lexi. Scott is a douche-y Dr. who thinks he is a nice guy. Maybe I was just not ready for the hotness of old man grouchy self righteous silver fox, Dr. Scott

I was thinking that the age gap was going to be a lot larger than what it was. Not really much of an age gap to me. Though it was a nice read

Anna Cox is a single Mom of 6yr old Wesley. Little Wes has severe asthma issues from being born a premmie. She is also an event coordinator and is hosting one at the hospital that Wes was born at. She meets single pediatrician doctor Scott Larson. He's a little older than she is, but he helps her with the auction at the hospital event. One thing leads to another, and Anna goes home with Scott.🔥🔥🔥 Something she has never done before. But for once she decides to take a chance and enjoy herself.

Now I remember Scott from Ms Hart's previous book when it was about his brother Troy and his love interest Mackenzie, Knocked Up By My Rival. I don't remember Scott being so grumpy there. Looks like he has dealt with some shady women since! I was a little surprised. But yeah Scott is grumpy and not really interested in having kids or being a stepdad to anyone else's kids. Which is a little weird since he's a pediatrician and is around children. I figured he would want that, you know. Anyway. He does let that be known from the beginning with Anna. Which presents a big problem for her.

It's a good book overall. But I didn't understand why Anna wouldn't just tell Scott about her son. Even if it's a deal breaker. Why mislead anyone? No shame in being a Mom. Or waste your time investing in a good looking guy who has issues with kids? Maybe in the end, you'll see he's not worth all the fuss. She really wanted him to like her for her. But Anna girl, like yourself first. You don't need a man to validate you.🙌🏻 Be you. lol

I didn't really like how he got angry on the adults only party on the yacht; which he held to raise money for asthma/lung research and hired Anna to coordinate. One patron accidentally, not knowing, brought her 5yr old daughter to the festivity and he got mad. Come on Scott. It doesn't make you look good dude.😬 Anna is watching. I did like the very mature Sophia and Kayla, the child caregiver on board the yacht. And also Ruth, Anna's very wise and supportive mama. Drama ensues in more ways than one. Especially when Anna discovers she's pregnant. And yes Scott finds out the truth. Can they still make it work? Even if he feels betrayed by Anna? I will share that Scott changed that attitude of his. About time! 🫡 Recommend. Enjoy.📚📚

👶🏼Thank you for an early book via Bookfunnel. This is my honest critique of the story I read.👶🏼

Love Is A Reason to Live -
Anna had given up on relationships after her most disastrous relationship that left her as a single mother, but the pull she felt towards Scott gave her the confidence to have a one night stand. Scott had sworn off relationships because of how he grew up, so his life was all about work and fun. Even though they walked away after their encounter, fate brought them back together again when Scott needed a party planner.

Their attraction grew as they worked together, but Anna was weary of getting involved personally with Scott because of how he wanted to live his life. However, they just couldn’t keep their hands off each other and this led to numerous steamy moments. Unfortunately, Anna was keeping a big secret from Scott, which derailed their relationship when he accidentally found out. Luckily, time apart and news that was about to change their lives, gave them the chance to risk working together towards a happily ever after.

This was a well written, slow build romance story, that gripped me from the start and made it difficult for me put it down. The characters were engaging and the storyline was realistic, which made it more of a worthwhile reading experience.

This is a wonderful addition to the Forbidden Alpha Billionaires Series where we meet a single mom, Anna who has a young son with asthma issues and her business plans a fundraiser to give back to the hospital that gave her so much to ensure her son had a fighting chance. When the auctioneer is a no show, Dr. Scott offers to step up and they end up spending an amazing night together. Scott has had nothing but bad luck with woman and is against relationships and kids so when he is pushed into a blind date he’s surprised to see it’s Anna and they have a wonderful time until Scott shares his beliefs and Anna knows she needs to walk away. Anna finds it hard to move on when Scott hires her to create a week full of events for the wealthy so he can ask them for donates to start his research, on asthma. When things get complicated and secrets are revealed prior to them being shared Anna finds herself heartbroken all over again with no self esteem but her mom who’s always been there for her helps pick her up! When Scott comes to his senses will hopes he’s not too late and is looking to make Anna and her son his family. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Author needs to edit this book

The story flowed nicely and the main characters were likable. The issues I had with the book are that the author probably didn’t do a final read thru of this book, a lot of things were repeated more than one. For example, at the beginning Liz tells Anna her and her husband are going to start trying for a baby Anna is all excited for them, then a couple of chapters in Lexi again states that they are finally trying again Anna is happy and congratulates her! And this same scene Tia happens AGAIN!! Another example is when Anna is with Scott on the yacht after the fancy dinner, they are in his room he removes her dress and she picks it up and hangs it because it’s not her dress she cerrado states this but a couple of pages more and in Scott’s POV he says shes grabbing her dress from the back of the sofa where it was left crumpled! How is the author not noticing all these things minor stuff but it gets annoying when reading. Also the ending Anna’s water breaks at a children’s clothing store, and they call the ambulance she also tells Lexi to call Scott and to bring her OBGYN!! And they both arrive, seriously I know it’s a fiction book but you would think it was a little more realistic.

This book was absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end. Anna and Scott meet at a hospital function and end up staying the night together, but when Scott is set up on a blind date can it be fate since it is Anna again? Scott's childhood wasn't a pretty one so he doesn't do love or relationships or children. Anna is a single mom with a child who has severe asthma and when asked to do a week long job on a yacht with Scott she tries to keep it professional but when lines get crossed and feelings start who will be left broken hearted and now a secret of her own? This book was absolutely compelling and captivating and tantalizing and heartbreaking as a mother of a daughter who was born premature and has severe asthma this book hit home for me because even grown into an adult she still suffers from asthma. Well written book and just loved the characters and their story.

Anna is a single mom running her own event planning business, and doing her best to raise 6yr old Wes who has been plagued by serious asthma from his premmie birth. Silver Fox Doctor Daddy starts with a fundraiser Anna has organized to raise funds to help the hospital her son is being treated at. There, she runs into a problem when her auctioneer can’t make it and she needs a replacement. Scott, a Pediatrician who is attending the fundraiser offers to help and does a brilliant job. Here begins a series of situations that Anna finds herself in with Scott.

Age gap romance, forced proximity, employer/employee relationship, secret billionaire, sudden pregnancy, and so many other tropes, all coming together in a warm love story. I really enjoyed this story which blended reality with a dream world. The type of world we would all like to fall into!

I was given a free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Silver Fox Doctor Daddy was such a fun and had me hooked from the first chapter. I loved the second chance surprise baby trope and this book has it all!!! The world the Josie Hart created was original, written beautifully with vivid detail. The characters were complex and had magnetizing chemistry. I loved the push and pull they put each other thru while reading this book. My heart broke, my stomach twisted and I fist pumped a few times for this couple.

Anna was independent, a total BA, and was loyal to her family and those she cared about. I loved her determination throughout this book. She definitely wasn’t a doormat. Scott was stubborn, guarded and protective of those he loved. I wanted to yell at him a few times!!! Their chemistry was spicy and very explosive!! They were drawn to each other and it was fun to experience the paths they took. Their love story was refreshing and had me in my feels for both of them.

Scott previously appeared in the book Knocked Up By My Rival and I was hoping he would get a book too. Unfortunately, Scott did display a petty, judgmental side that wasn't in evidence in his brother's book. Judging single mothers who are on state aid and child maintenance is not a good look Scott. And what sort of paediatrician doesn't like children? I did have to knock a star off for that.

Anna, the main female character, has a son with severe asthma and after she hears some of the crappy things Scott has to say about single mothers and children, she is understandably reluctant to share that part of her life with him. There is the inevitable miscommunication, but all is sorted out by the end. Scott did eventually stop behaving like a douche and I did like him by the end.

Anna has worked hard to be successful in her career to support herself and her son, Wes. Being abandoned by Wes's father has left her guarded and protective of her family.

Scott's family fell apart after the death of his little brother leaving him adamant that he would never have children. He and his remaining brother, Troy put all their energy into building their careers and not being anything like their parents.

A chance meeting at a charity event creates passionate sparks between these two but a throwaway remark from Scott about not wanting children makes Anna pull away.

A tearjerker romance about two damaged individuals finding their other half against the odds. A thoroughly enjoyable page turner from an author who never disappoints.

This is another brilliant lover's romance book that will keep you entranced from the very beginning. Anna is a single mom raising her son Wes who was a preemie and has asthma pretty bad. She is running an event planning business and while at a party she meets a handsome doctor named Scott. Scott is grumpy due to a recent break up and so he is not looking for a relationship or wanting to have kids of his own. So, when the two of them have some of the best sex ever that's all it is until something happens. This book will make your entire week because it is that great of a read. I would give this book a 10/10 and much more.

The Silver Fox who is Golden

Even though there is an age gap between Anna & Dr. Scott Larson, there is no stopping this train wreck. When Anna is not upfront with telling Scott about her son, Wes, at the beginning of their relationship, he is devastated when he learns her secret. Anna has had her fair share of stumbling blocks over the years & this one feels like a brick wall.

This is such an emotional ride & with their hearts ripped apart, I didn't think they could get back together & find a HEA. With so much happening in this story, I couldn't put it down! Here is yet another love story that is a +5-stars in my opinion! Josie Hart does it best. Time to pick up this novel & read it!

I liked this book, I loved the storyline and the background of the main characters, Scott and Anna and poor little Wes. I liked how they focused on the experiences of Scott and Anna, and how if effects there everyday life. Anna was such a fighter and I loved Scott’s brother Troy great character. I loved how they worked it out in the end, though there wasn’t enough drama in this book and I think as Scott was a silver fox, he should of been a bit more of an alpha male. It would have been nice to hear about Scott’s research programme, and about how far he had got with it. Maybe it could be added. Nice ending.

This book kept me reading from the first line to the last.

I really enjoyed a great book with lots of characters and friends from other stores intertwined. Silver Fox Doctor Daddy gave me different emotions because Scott was so hurt from his parents that he let it control his life and almost cost him the lives of his life. Anna was a single parent who was ditched by her baby daddy. Her son Wes was a preemie who suffered from asthma. She didn’t allow that to dictate her and her son’s life, but she was leery of men who didn’t want children. This is my third book by Josie Hart and I haven’t been disappointed. I highly recommend reading her books.

Anna and Scott start a relationship but there are reservations due to Anna having a secret she cannot help but keep as he made it clear how he feels about children. Having a child and surprise pregnancy is one way for the truth to be revealed unexpectedly but her fear proved to founded as she decides to put her family first despite her emotional connection to Scott. This story was emotionally charged and kept me on edge as I read through to see if he finally comes to his senses and accept his feelings.

This good age gap romance is totally spoiled by the extremely poor editing. A young single mom plagued by her son’s father giving up all responsibility and parental rights is trying to eke out a living as an event planner/organizer. Anna is also burdened by her son Wes’ severe asthma attacks. How challenging for her to meet and be interested in pediatrician Scott, a middle age man who is not interested in having children of his own. Hart writes an entertaining and steamy romance with some touching moments, but repeating chapters in the novel is unacceptable.

This is the story of Anna and Scott, from the very beginning they have a chemistry and attraction. They meet at a charity event. Despite the fact that they click, both have a backpack and a painful relationship past. Anna has a child and that is something Scott does not want, he does not want stability or children. Will they get out and still get a hea?

The book itself was a good story. However the AI reading left a lot to be desired. I don’t mine when the reader is mail or female only. There is still voice differences per character and lack of this any any inflection makes it hard to listen to. With no difference between the voices for male and female it tends to get confusion, trying to figure out whom is actually speaking. Thumbs down on the type of narration.

not for me

I am not big on pregnancy romances. Why did I read this one? Because I like to give different tropes a try every now and then. This one was just babies eve where. Every. Where. And I had a hard time buying the chemistry between Anna and Scott. It just came across so superficially and then all of the sudden they’re like cool I realized how all of my trauma was affecting me and now I know I love you. I just couldn’t buy it.

Really enjoyed this book! First one I’ve read by this author and it definitely won’t be the last. I’m a sucker for a MMC in uniform and this doctor role was perfectly written, just like the whole story. A strong FMC and a funny little boy. What’s not to like! I cried a little in some places but laughed so hard in others. I think it was just missing a little bit extra angst for me personally but other than that, absolutely amazing!

Josie always gives us great stories, and this one has a really good plot. Anna and Scott met at a charity event, she was the organizer and one of the most prestigious doctors. They felt a strong attraction and spent the night together, among them things got a little complicated as the story unfolds. But it’s worth reading to get to the happy ending.

Captivating

I absolutely loved this story. I couldn't put it down, devouring every word. It was well written, descriptive when it needed to be. I would have liked it to go further to know they got married and if Scott's research into asthma brought about positive results. Did Wesley outgrow his asthma? Maybe a sequel???
