Spectral #1.3

Spectral: Episode Three

Rate this book
With a new Spectre at her disposal, Luna is well on her way to achieving her new perfect life–but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t work to be done.

If she wants Hiro to take this Spectre off her hands, she first needs to defeat a host of other dangerous ghosts. Luckily, Los Angeles is a hotbed of Spectral activity.

For her first mission, Luna investigates the disappearance of a woman in the Verdugo Hills, which Hiro believes to be the work of a new malicious ethereal entity. But, as Luna quickly learns, this foray into a Mirage won’t be as easy as it was the first time!

Episode Three is the third of a twelve-episode serial!

Please Spectral is a serialized novel made up of twelve episodes at around forty to fifty pages each. New episodes will release weekly until completion. Each episode is not meant to stand alone, but rather build to a complete story, not unlike a twelve-episode anime series. If you have not read Episodes One and Two, please go back and do so before reading Episode Three.

A.J. CERNA is an author, film-lover, gamer, and all-around story junkie. Like any healthy kid, he grew up imbibing fantasy novels, anime, manga, and movies, and realized at a young age that writing stories was the best way one could spend their time. Eventually, he found his way into film school, where he got his degree in screenwriting. In his time in Hollywood, he pitched animated series around town and worked in the anime dubbing industry in various capacities. He also ran the film site LRM Online as editor-in-chief for several years, which allowed him to write about the stories he loves when he wasn’t writing stories himself.

His series consist of Djinn Tamer (Arc One finished), Champions of MythRune (Finished), The Mage War Chronicles (Ongoing), and now, Spectral (Ongoing).

When not reading or writing, he can be found hiking, podcasting, gaming, or checking out the latest craft beer breweries.

Episode 3 takes the prize for my very favorite! The self-contained “monster of the week” aspect of the plot explores a story that is fascinating in its own right. At the same time, this episode also us some great additional movement in Luna’s growth and the plot at large - 10/10
