Peg Robarchek's Welcome to the Church of I Don't Have a Clue is a courageous, authentic, memoir, not filled with pat beliefs, but a hard-fought scrabble against a wounding past. Growing up in the turmoil of the 1960's deep South, she turns her back on religion at a young age. Over time, Peg excavates an understanding of God from a history filled with abuse, alcoholism, cynicism and rage. Grieving the loss of family members and failed marriages, her life careens out of control until she discovers threads of compassion in an unlikely setting. Through the pages of this book, Peg evolves into the friend and confidant every seeker wants, because she's been through the most rugged of days, stumbled upon peace and offers no easy answers.
