Mark Powers is the writer who created several of the graphic novels adapted The Dresden Files books by Jim Butcher and co-writer of The Encoded from Devil's Due comics. He is a writer at Mega Powers Entertainment and a producer at Volta. At Mega Powers Entertainment he has written comic books and graphic adaptations for various companies including Drafted, Rest, GI Joe, and adaptations of The Dresden Files. He was also a Senior Editor at Marvel managing the X-Men line of titles.

Well this is it. The final GI Joe issues published by DDP before they went bankrupt and were bought out by IDW. They really went out with a bang. WW3 was quoted as “The most ambitious GI Joe story ever told”. I have to say I agree 100% The scope of this story was amazing. Cobra planned a series of events to set off a world war and used the chaos to seize power. What they did after that was a total shock. Great storytelling. Now to go back and read the other one offs published by DDP during this run before moving on to IDW’s series...

Same complaint as trade paper back before, if this was the end, more big character deaths should have happened. The only of note deaths were Monkeywrench (off page too), Alexander I guess is of note and Billy. That one hurt. I’ve always liked Billy. But maybe they thought that story would continue after losing the rights.
Other than that great story and does wrap up nicely.

Great story. I haven't read the prior DDP stuff, but from what I understand, it's not as good as this.
