Classic Christmas story with a spin. Noelle's husband is killed in a mine accident. She is not really upset as he had been a very abusive man. She had been visiting the local orphanage and wanted to adopt a little girl named Carol but he wanted only a son, now she could get her girl. The local mine manager, Nickolas< had come to her home to let her know about the compensation that the widows would get when the home visit for approval happens and they tell the people that they are husband and wife. When secrets and lies are revealed trouble ensues, but a Christmas miracle makes everything what it should be.

very good book
This was a very good book to read. It is written by Olivia Haywood and is written very well. A young woman wants to adopt a child and her abusive husband would not let her as he wanted a boy. What is she to do? Just wish and keep asking. The the news that her husband has died. Is it good news or bad news. What is she to do? This is a very enjoyable book to read. You will love it.

From heartache to Contentment
This is my favorite book Olivia has written so far. Noelle has been in a life of despair for so long she doesn't know how to deal with the loss. Her one hope in life was to have a child. When Nicholas enters into her life he unwillingly helps her out in a lie to get the orphanage to let her adopt. What they go through is just a beautiful read. A must!

it just goes on and on
This book had a really good story line but was just too long. I just had to note also that tomatoes and flowers don’t grow in Co. in Dec right after a snow blizzard, likewise how can you wipe the dust off your boots when there is snow on the ground. Little mistakes like this can really turn off a reader.

Great Story
This truly is a really wonderful Christmas story. This story is full of and joy, but most of all it has the true spirit of Christmas in it. This really is an amazing story.
