It's been nine months since the government collapsed and the spring has brought new troubles. After the Department of Corrections ran out of resources, they released the last remaining inmates into the countryside. With nowhere to go and unable to travel during the Wisconsin winter, the inmates ravaged the city of Fond du Lac. Now that spring is here, they have their eyes set on the agricultural resources of Calumet County...and the Town of Rockport.
Can Doug Chapman organize a local militia strong enough to defend the town from the hordes of convicts and the religious cult that leads them?

With eight deployments to the Middle East and serving several years in Europe, his writing is shaped by his vast real-world experience. David holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and was the Magnus Graduate at the National Law Enforcement Command and Staff College.
David has again given we readers a book full of action, tactics, teamwork and hero’s. In book #3 we saw the rise of the cult north of Rockport and the makeshift law enforcement teams from three counties/municipalities come together to formulate a plan to fight the hoards of bad guys off. David uses his experience as an OSI agent to show how the Rockport team devise defensive position strategies, some unique offensive techniques, train and bring together inexperienced folks to resist intruders and how to run informants. There are a lot of individual acts of heroism, good shooting and a genuine caring displayed by soma y characters. But, it’s the character development that makes the book come together and makes the reader continue to turn the pages instead of getting a snack or do chores. I guess I would say this book is a page turner. If you liked the first 3 books the. Pick up #4, find a comfortable chair get your snacks before you start to read and you will not stop reading this book for a while
This is the fourth installment of the town of Rockport's survival efforts after the collapse of civilization. The characters are well developed, and the story lines are plausible. I suggest starting with the first book and working your way through the series. These are enjoyable and well written books.
Author, David Jones, has written another great book in the Rockport series. This series offers a unique perspective of protecting the home front and local community rather than bugging out. The books are fast paced, interesting and informative. I highly recommend.
