Each poem of mine is a silvery white silk feather. I write my creations, perspectives, imaginations, feelings, emotions and muse's thoughts. In this book you will find different syllabic poetic forms, rhyming and alliteration with iambic meter. Poetry works like a medicine for people in pain by reducing feelings of isolation and depression. Poetry also boosts your mood and improves your vocabulary. All the poetries in this book include our feelings and emotions revealing the little fights between our heart and mind. Also, these poem forms are easy to learn. My poems may help not only youngsters but also people of all age groups to learn more about these poetry forms.
It's a nice book. It has different forms of poetry. It's good for people who like poetry as well as those who want to learn forms of poetry. This writer has got really good poetries on her blog as well. She knows a lot of poetry forms. Do have a look at this poetry book if you are also a fan of poetries! And if you wish to learn different poetry forms.
DYNAMIC Minds, by Jane Aguiar, is a truly fascinating poetry collection that one can read from start to finish in one sitting. It's very short and begs for repeat readings. The pages are full of syllabic poetic forms--some I know and others I don't but, for sure, the rhythm of each is melodic and tender. This made me believe that this author has a tender soul.
In the preface, the author tells me that she wishes to have her poetry collection in libraries and I can surely see how this is possible for her. Each poem in this collection speaks to the heart and certainly reveals, (as in her own words) "the little fights between our heart and mind." What a beautiful thing to say, as we, young or old, all have instances where our hearts and minds are at odds with each other.
These poems by Jane Aguiar transported me into myself: this is the beauty of poetry, and the best part of having such a book in one's hands is that one can read over and over and feel connected to someone whose words resonate with our human-ness. I resonated deeply (and not in a romantic sense) with a stanza in Fingers Intertwined: I want to/feel you and fill/the/distance and spaces/in between// --I feel that this thought is universal. Oh, if only we could fill the distance between us in our minds. I love it.
The author captivated me again in State of Love: Let's keep/away the clouds/of darkness and always/feel the presence of mind and state/of love// --Yes, please, I say. Let's stay in a state of love always, please.
I know and love the Senryu form and on page 15. Incomparable we are gifted a beautiful Senryu series. I invite you to read it as I adore what she wrote about the moon. Thank you.
Finally, I will leave you with one last cluster of words I loved in this lovely short book: From birth to birth, the mind seeks a destination/Although contented in imagination/Struggles to get close in origination// --but to see the whole collection, I encourage you to get a copy of this lovely book, DYNAMIC Minds, by Jane Aguiar so you can choose your favorite lines too. I am glad I read this book.
“Dynamic mind” by Jane Aguiar is a Poetry collection, it is a very thin book and can be easily read within a day. Her poems as always are amazing, the rhythms are on point and you can’t help but admire every poem in awe. The choices of words she used are very simple to understand so if you just started getting into poetry this is a book to pick.
All of her poems are relatable, some will make you home-sick, some love struck and some will make you think deep. I personally love “No control over the mind” as I think it pretty much sums up my overthinking self, while I feel “Cursed lover” is the masterpiece in this book; it felt like a poem made for a fairy tale. Though this particular poem is short I think reading it made me visualise a whole scenario and that is the beauty of the poem.
To all the poetry lovers out there this book is with no doubt a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ so grab your copies soon only on amazon.
Jane Aguiar is an Indian teacher and popular WordPress poet who has produced countless lovely verses in various poetic forms. Her simple words are always beautiful, positive, and uplifting. She has published her first poetry chapbook, Dynamic Minds, which incorporates a variety of poetic styles and themes. Her poems are delicately balanced flowers that take root in the reader's mind and heart. These are two of my favorites:
Cursed Lover
The clouds swelled and the rain fell as if the clouds bath the earth with love which is a long Scandal Beneath the beautiful painted sky a long blaze Is eager to meet his cursed lover (Crapsey Cinquain)
Tears swallowed
eyes filled to the brim lips tremble and heart crumble emotional mind tears swallowed in silence unable to control that (Form: Tanka)
This book is such a rich exploration of human impressions and emotions ~ I couldn't put it down once I began reading it. I especially love the "Ode to Death" ~ that's so beautifully rendered and poignant.
I cannot recommend this magical, little volume enough to poetry lovers everywhere!
