DNF - book one was okay but felt like an early draft
I feel like book one could’ve benefited from a good, ruthless edit, then more story added in! Some of the characterization felt off, the story progression unnatural. With the story realistically happening over two nights, having the epilogue skip ahead two years is jarring.
But also, so much feels unrealistic. New authors rarely are able to only write; most keep their day jobs until they have enough contracts ahead of them. And even then, some never stop their day jobs.
Anyway, it’s a great premise but needs a lot of fleshing out.

Maxine wasn’t sure renting a room in a cabin in Montana was going to help her writing but she had to try something. Sawyer was expecting Max, the man who rented his spare room, not Maxine. This is a cute story and a quick read. I really liked the premise that Maxine is a romance writer. I liked the characters and hope Cooper gets his own book next.
I’m enjoying this Trout Creek series. Looking forward to more. This time it’s bakery owner Harper and hiking guide Knox. This is a super cute story and I really liked the characters. It was a quick and easy read. I’m looking forward to more in the series. Definitely recommend.
I love the First Times in Trout Creek series. I really enjoyed this book with Jason the trainer and Erin the bridesmaid looking to lose some weight. I really love these stories showing size doesn’t matter. It’s a great story and I loved the characters. I love how the characters carry though the series. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

An awkward situation on the plane makes Emma run as soon as they land but luck would bring her back to Stuart when she has a terrible date set up by her mother at Stuart’s restaurant. When Stuart rescues her from her terrible date he never wants to let her go but when her work calls her back to Spain ASAP what will Emma do? A great storyline and lovable characters. I really enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Hazel has a way of writing, even in these insta-love stories, that make you feel you've known the characters forever, and you could be the next door neighbor. (One that spies on all the connections going around, but Oh yeah!!)

While I did like the book/series- there was nothing that made it stand out from the 'crowd' for me.

Really quick and easy reads but I actually really enjoyed them. The first three were really good to be honest which I was quite surprised about considering they were like seven chapters long (50ish pages). The fourth one I wasn’t too much of a fan but that’s just my personal opinion. Nevertheless definitely worth it for a freebie!

Great Short Romances
If you love great short romance books then this is the set for you. They are instant love stories with just enough steam. This entire series overlaps characters but each story can been read alone. I love Hazel North's books.

Just loved the strong independent curvy girl gets the hunk plot. There was great steamy scenes between each main character in each story. Makes you want to move to Trout Creek. Really enjoyed each of these quick reads!

Exactly what the title says. There are short, fast-paced Steamy romance books. I absolutely loved it, and the characters definitely recommend it.

The V-card trope on all four of the stories was too much. Plus the formatting of the book was funky.
