Welcome back to Hambleton, home of the Speed Demons MC, where dark forces are at play, and nobody is who they seem.
Colt The day I left the military, I found the Speed Demons MC, and discovered the family I’d always craved. Along with the club came the president, John Stone, who taught me more about being a good man than my blood relatives ever did. I swore I’d have my prez’s back and return my brothers’ loyalty tenfold, until I met her—Freya Stone, the Demon’s princess. Knowing she was strictly off limits, I resisted her pull for years out of respect for my club and my prez, but it’s getting harder to ignore her. Every look, every soft smile, every glancing touch, chips away at my resolve, and I know it’s only a matter of time before I reach out and pluck the forbidden fruit. Except I can’t help fear... at what cost?
Freya I fell in love with Colt when I was sixteen years old, but he never noticed me, and I knew it would be years before I could make my move. Still, I waited and watched until eventually, I learned how to lure him in, and make him mine. Except my dad declared me off limits and I know Colt will eventually have to make a choice. Will he choose me or the Speed Demons?
Colt is part of a series and must be read in order. 18+ Contains Adult Scenes
3,5. I NEED MORE TIME TO READ! This book is entertaining but I expected more. The mmc is weak- my opinion! So clever but weak! All story is good, repetitive but good.
It is with a heavy heart that I'm writing this review 💔💔because I love the Speed Demons series. SNOW and Breaker are among my top 10 best read in 2023🌟
I must say that I went into this book with high expectations after the emotional turmoil that was BREAKER. And maybe it is partially my fault for doing that. I had to stop reading after 30% and reassess how to continue.
For me, there were two major problems with one outweighing the other. The story itself and the characters mainly Freya.
The Story
It went no where tbh. Over 500 pages, which is an overdose for a romance book, and you do not know what the aim of the story is!🤔
Freya and Colt has a connection. This is clear. They were meant for each other, ok? And? Where is the intensity? The drama? The obstacles? Nothing made sense. One minute Colt was 0 then he was driving 180 km/ page One page he doesn't know if he loves Freya, the next he says I love you!! It wasn't until the last 100 pages that something happened and another thing which added nothing to the story At one point, I thought we'd see Colt handling the FBI, I was excited for that! But nothing! The only thing we learn is that he enlisted to save the club! Was it about inner club conflicts and absurd rules? Like imagine a father who loves his daughter so much that he neglects her, forces her away, forbids anyone from his club to have a relationship with her, doesn't see her worth and then she has the audacity to fall in love with a member so what does the asshole do? He calls her a whole, cuts her off, confiscated her stuff, and practically disowns her! All in the name of fatherly love
There were so many unnecessary family scenes that I think were supposed to add humor to the story, but I found myself skipping them. I mean, I was irrated with a kid, for God's sake!
And Bowie and Layla?! I DNFed their book, and this one did not earn them any credit.
the characters
Colt was a manipulative SOB. I'm sorry but he was. He is the text book standard of a narcissistic groomer
"“I was drawn to you from day one." You mean when she was 12 and you were 24??????😵💫😵💫
The way he treats Freya is unacceptable. The way he talks to her, discards her feelings, doesn't acknowledge her needs! But hey, he bought her a 300k car, that should shut her up! The only way he accepted his feelings for her is because he knew he's leaving the club.
But hey, this is the thing you would expect from an ex-military turned MC members.
But Freya! She's the epitum of everything I never want to see in a woman or raise my daughters to be. She allowed everyone to manipulate her life and choices. She basically handed herself on a silver platter for Colt to do whatever he wanted. Her friend had more spine than her.
Check this out "You’ve disrespected me tonight, and it’s made me wonder if I’ve been very wrong about you.” He let out an angry snort. “Likewise, bitch.”
So how does she respond to that? She accepts his pathetic apology because "In a way, I’d molded myself into Colt’s ideal woman, watching and learning about what he valued in the opposite sex. It was apparent he liked intelligence first and foremost. He usually went for naturally pretty girls, though he also liked a woman who could dress up and turn heads."
She admits that she allowed herself to be what he wanted to be Same like she allowed her father to do
Colt just kept hitting her with cruel words and she took him back everytime because he made her, a 24 year old virgin, sqirt💦
I think it's women like these who allow men to step on them for their pleasure.
And when the shit hit the fan, Colt didn't lose anything basically, while Freya almost lost all her family, he left her to go deal with his real family! Says a lot about a man who supposedly said that you are his whole life
I wished she left him for a bit. I wished she joined Doctors without borders for example like he left her!
So why did she judge Layla for sticking with her man when she did the same!
Overall, this book shouldn't be 500+ pages long More important plotlines should have been the focus Stone does not deserve forgiveness or a redemption book
I'm looking forward for the new MC Chapter books though. Just let's hope we get more Cara and Kennedy, and less Layla and Freya
I ended this very annoyed. I was super excited for this book, and now I'm just pissed. John does not deserve forgiveness for the shit he pulled, and the fact that Freya "accepted " his apology to keep the peace and started spending his money again was pathetic and enraging. I also can't believe Colt would just act like everything is fine, even if it's not.
This book also ruined Bowie and Layla for me. I was so disappointed in them and how they treated Colt, but especially Freya, and she didn't even tear into them!! At the very least, she should have given them a piece of her mind and then moved away. Then, the Sophie twist should we start taking bets on how John's gonna kiss her ass now and treat her better than his own daughter?!
2.5 I regret staying up and losing my precious sleep stars

Sometimes you sincerely wish GRs and Amazon would let you give MORE than 5 stars. Seriously, this book, guys. I take that back. This whole freaking series has me by my throat, screaming "enough" at my kindle, all while I'm really just wanting more. And now, that series cliffy is KILLING me, lol.
Anyway. Colt and Freya's book was just fantastic! Extremely well written emotional roller coaster ride with tons of laugh out loud moments, interspersed with some extremely emotional ones. Colt and Freya's history is very complex. She fell in love with him at first site as a child and they were always very close. They genuinely liked and respected each other despite their age differences, but once he "noticed" her, it brought pain to both of them. She was still off limits and Colt couldn't reconcile how they could be together. I've seen reviewers talk about wanting to yell at MMCs and throw their kindle, but I never truly felt it until Colt, lol. That man.. Definitely gave her a bit of whiplash, but there were valid "reasons". Such fantastic storytelling. So fast paced and the twists left me with my mouth hanging open and pinning my husband down the FULL recap he never knew he needed, lmao.
If you're an MC fan, you NEED to read this series! It could be read as a standalone, but BELIEVE ME, you don't want to do it. The writing, the angst, the intricate plots, and most importantly, the characters will completely have you hooked.
This one was better then I was expecting it to be. But it took forever to read. I'm so happy that they finally got together. And after that ending I need to know what happens next.
I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with this book. I was so excited to read it after the earlier books in the series, which I loved.
But Colt is a major douche and Freya is a doormat. He treated her like crap all throughout the book and each time she just instantly forgave him and experienced BBS so bad that they had a major make out session. Um, no - not for me.
In the earlier books I really thought Colt was a good guy. He’s not worth Freya’s spit.
We also learned that Freya was a tough, badass doctor who wouldn’t take crap from people. Well, she turned into a big wimp in this story.
No groveling and he should have spent YEARS groveling after what he put her through.
The MMC, Colt, is the biggest man child. I am 60% in to reading and had to stop to write this review. The FMC is a pushover who quickly folks because she “loves” him and has that betraying body syndrome that just can’t help itself whenever he is near. Woman, have some self-respect. There is a difference between a possessive male who loves a woman and makes mistakes along the way vs. Colt… a pleading begging manchild with anger issues. She should have kept driving the first time.
Oh wow, Freya and Colt had a steep hill to climb. Their love for one another was so deep but because of club laws they couldn't be together. Dagger made it abundantly clear that at no circumstances was any brother to touch Freya and that included romantic relationships.
With all that's going on in the club and their personal lives, Colt made some real stupid assholy comments to Freya. At a time or two I really wanted to throw my iPad. I was so frustrated with him.
Now Dagger's a man that I'd like to see grovel because the way he spoke to Freya and treated Colt was definitely grovel worthy.
You'll experience a lot of different emotions from sad to happy to throw your eReader at times to happy again and lots more.
This was such an amazing read. Can't wait to read the next book because this one left me with a lot of unanswered questions. This series gets better and better with each book.
As I get closer to finishing the books in the Speed Demons MC, I'm finding myself getting a little sad. I've basically devoured these books in the past few weeks (with a few breaks after Snow and Breaker because I needed an emotional palette cleanser).
Freya and Colt's story was one I've been looking forward to- she's the last Stone child and I want her to have a HEA.
But of course that one comes at a price.
This book is definitely a forbidden romance, Freya is the princess of the Speed Demons MC and off limits. Colt is someone who's been part of the club for years and has seen her grow up into the woman she is today. Freya has always had feelings for Colt and she's finally acting on them.
Colt finds himself backed into a corner after his tech sleuthing gets him into hot water with the government. Now they want him to work for them in exchange for them not going after his club. The problem is Colt doesn't let this fact be known to the club. This and the fact that his age, timing and his loyalty to the club kept him from acting on his feeling for Freya.
When they both confess their feelings for each other, one would think that it's smooth sailing from there. Wrong.
When it is revealed to the club they are fractured with half supporting Colt and half supporting Dagger. Dagger then disowns Freya causing the both of them to loose the club and family they've known.
Drama then comes into play from Colt's past. One that he doesn't want to expose Freya to.
I found it was a great ending to the book and I cannot wait to see if more comes from Henderix's chapter of the Speed Demons!
Wow what a rollercoaster of ups and downs I love freya strong will I love colt but if stood in front of me I points I would of got in his face and shouted at him with frustration and a side of dagger that was not the prez we know but the son of bandit but this book has us all twisted up laughing crying with frustration joy laughter you name it it has it
Colt is the lone wolf due to his past not fitting in but respected and doing his tech stuff in love with his best friend when a series of events changes the course of his world closing door it opens a window and can get the girl the very off limits girl which leads to a world of hurt but also colt bio family have left their mark can he get over it before he loses everything especially freya
Freya the youngest of the stones she is everything most girls want to be smart funny beautiful well liked and kind heart however her father has very particular views and ideas of where freya life should be heading and wont hear of anything else and freya has worked so hard to get her father love and attention but there comes a point where fork in the road is there and choices have to be made and hope that she has the strength to weather the Strom
So strap in for a dumpy ride choices with affect not just freya and colt but the bio family and club family lines drawn in the sand can the happy ever after ending be a reality or a dream read to find out
Wow what a rollercoaster ride of mixed emotions that was. 🥴
Jules Ford knows how to pack a punch better then Dagger and his brass knuckles. 👊
Colts book was amazing , totally hooked me in like a fish at the end of fishing line . So much anguish and hidden feelings broken hearts and soul wrenching emotions that had this reader all up in arms . 🤦♀️
Colt and Freya's love story is a journey that takes them for a twelve year ride that starts when Freya wasn't even Old enough to date but from the moment she laid eyes on Colt she knew instinctavly he was her soul mate and the same was felt by Colt but age and timing kept them apart , loyalty to the club kept colt from acting on his feelings when Freya was old enough to finally be with him , so much angst and back and forth between the two did my head in at times but the ending was worth it . And what an ending this book had ! Wow I did not see that coming at all !
I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series. It has it all ! Drama, action , love, not to mention beautiful little girls trying to ride an elk she named Horney because she wanted a horse . It was hilarious. 🤣 With all the banter from the boys in the club and the way they love on their women makes this series one of my favourites.
✔️Age-Gap ✔️Biker Princess with a WILD biker family😍 ✔️Touch her & 💀 vibes ✔️Angsty push & pull dynamic ✔️ Secret relationship
Then this is the read for you! Colt and Freya are hot as all heck! And our main man, Colt is downright filthy with his mouth🥵💦 Their relationship isn’t easy. They have a ton of hurdles to jump through before they can get to their HEA… But no worries! because they totally get it🤍 There’s so many things going on in Hambleton and at the Speed Demons compound it’ll make your head spin.
Jules, gave us another amazing couple to salivate over and she wrote their story to perfection! I can’t wait for what else she has in store for all of us!
Colt and Freya were never going to have an easy ride. The man who John brought into his family and his club, pairing up with his only daughter. Mmmm, what could possibly go wrong.
Add club loyalty and tough personal decisions into the mix and this story was never going to play out the way you expected.
This is a long, complex story that will draw you in from the very beginning. So, before you start, get everything around you that you need; drinks, snacks, headphones and your comfiest blanket; cause once you start reading, you won't stop until you've finished.
I was lucky enough to get an Arc of Colt. Oh man, Jules hit this one out of the park. I loved Colt and Freya. Even if Colt drove me potty and I wanted to shake him sometimes 😂.
There is so much feeling in this book. It had everything drama, romance, and so much frigging chemistry. I'm surprised the pages didn't burn up. I also laughed till I cried.
Awesome book Jules, well done, lady. Keep 'em coming!
If you do not read this book you will miss one of the best books I have read this year. Colt and Freya are a love story that faces being shut off from family, and a tendency to run when things get to serious commitment. Freya never loses her love for Colt but he makes things difficult for her. Sometimes you have to just do what you need to do until things work out. Once it did for them it is a love story full of feels and making a family of their making. 🖤❤️ There is always laughs from Sunshine and John!
Jules Ford has written another fabulous book in the Speed Demons MC saga. Colt and Freya find themselves at a crossroad, and their choices will cause you to laugh, cry, and seath. Favorite characters Cash, Breaker, Atlas, Sunny, and Jolly Batman are back.
The book ends with a surprise turn, setting up the next two books. Stay in your writing cave, Ms. Ford! I can hardly wait to read the next installment.
OMG !!!💓💓💓 this book. This book is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Colt, finally got is head out of his ass. 💓 Fraya and Colt. This book is 🔥🔥🔥. I Definitely, did want to put it down. Wonderful characters are back, with the laughs. and the Ending , another OMG. This is another, MUST READ BOOK. Ms. Ford, you again, knock it out of the Ballpark. AMAZING BOOK!!! MUST READ BOOk and SERIES!!!
Another amazing ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ read from the ever-talented Jules Ford. Stepping back into the Speed Demons world in Hambelton, Wyoming, is like coming home to old friends. Colt and Freya think they know what they have in store for them, but nothing could have prepared them for the rough terrain ahead. Be prepared to laugh out loud, maybe shed a tear or two, and do a fist pump in the air. This one has it all. Thanks for another epic adventure Ms. Ford. Can't wait until the next one. If you like your MC romance spicy. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ You'll love Colt.
This book was everything I needed and more. This is a series and it best to read the others before reading this. Colt and Freya- what an amazing, hard, long journey they have but it was worth it. Freya has loved Colt since she was a teenager. Colt is a member of her dad’s MC. She is off limits. Colt breaks the rules because he knows she is it for him. Her dad takes it to another level when he finds out about them. I am curious about his book because the epilogue leaves us on a cliffhanger!
I didn't know when I started the book if I would like it. It took me a few chapters to decide yes...I loved it. Freya has loved Colt since she was a teenager. Colt was the tech guy and quite a few years older. Freya was the club princess and untouchable. We all know what that means. The journey they went on was rough. I really ended up not liking John by the time it was over. The ending left more questions than answers. Hopefully we will find out soon.
So good. The Christmas scene with Sunny and the Elk was so funny I almost fell off the chair laughing so hard. It was so good to see Colt and Freya get their happy ever after. Dagger (John Stone) was an a$$ and should have had some consequences for his actions, Bowie & Layla also.
Colt and Freya's book was absolutely amazing. I love the forbidden and age gap aspect of this book. This book is definitely a page turner, emotional, and keeps wanting more. This author writes amazing stories and works hard at keeping her readers' attention .
I absolutely loved it. This book made me emotional and I kept wondering if colt was ever going to come back for her thank God he did. As far as john being a a$$ made me mad and I wanted to jump into the book and strangle him. I'm glad that treats mom was there and the brothers who stood behind colt and freya. This book has a great ending and I loved it.
All the stars! Loved this book - Colt and Freya were great together - although for an intellectual man Colt could be a bit slow!! We get to see all the gang again with all their witty banter. We are left on a doozy of an ending to though - can’t wait for the next one!
This book was absolutely amazing, I loved Colt and Freya’s story ❤️❤️❤️ Although at times Colt made me mad at his treatment of Freya, I realised his upbringing had left him scared of real commitment and he constantly looked for ways to fail. Freya stayed strong, while Colt was finding his way, she loved him and always would. She moved ahead by herself, finding her way into her internship always knowing he would come for her. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
This book was just as great as the rest you will not be disappointed. Hop on the roller coaster of up and down that only Jules Ford can put you through and of course join in on all the laughs with the kids.
