art of the Highest Bidder Club series each can be read as a standalone with a sexy stranger and the one who captures his undivided attention. Such a sad situation April and her sister Amelia living with their uncle who dislikes them after the death of their father he became their guardian but he treats them like prisoners, mistreating them, running a thieving ring stealing electronic, stealing jewelry, and feels like both the girls owe him for taking care of them even though he got paid life insurance so forcing her to sell her v-card at The Black Door with a threat if she doesn’t he will hurt her twelve year old sister no matter how much she begged him, after hitting her, starving her, and making her walk miles to the club. Michael sexy as all get out bouncer working at the club to save money for his vineyard in France, a house he is renovating but the moment he sees a man forcing a young woman to sell her v-card at the club he knows something is off and something about her makes him want to be the one to bid on her. So, that is exactly what he does knowing it is against the rules to bid on her, going so far as to walk up on the stage to take her in front of her. After one night he knew it wasn’t enough but he wasn’t going to walk away from her but after following her finding out why she won’t leave a man who beats her so he wants to take the two of them away but will he get them away, will her uncle get what he deserves, and can the girls have peace, something happiness?

Ahh! I loved this one; it was such a sweet, quick, steamy read. Auctioned to the Stranger is Michael and April's story.
Michael was the whole package and more. I loved how protective he was of April and her sister. He really was her angel.
April and her sister have been living with their horrible uncle since their father died several years ago, and April has been doing side jobs, but she isn't allowed to get a real job. April is very protective of her younger sister and will do anything for her, so she takes most of the abuse.
Her uncle tells her that he is auctioning off her v!rgin!ty. Michael is a bouncer who works at the club, and he takes one look at April and knows he has to save her.

April and Michaels story is fast-paced and filled with intense emotions. So sweet and steamy, these two easily stole my heart. I have to say though that I wish we could have gone deeper with this couple.

Auctioned to the Stranger is third installment in the Highest Bidder Club Series. A full-length short and spicy novella with no cheating, no cliffhanger and a guaranteed happily-ever-after. A beautifully written story with extraordinary individuals and fascinating storyline that captures the reader attention from the beginning and keeps you engrossed and turning pages and rooting for the characters. It's a fast paced, quick read novella. This is April and Michael story. An age gap trope story, taboo, opposite attracts story, forbidden romance, insta-love romance, lust-at-first-sight story, insta-everything romance, contemporary romance, unlikely hero story, virgin heroine story, steamy short story, protective hero, with passion, steam, lust, physical, emotional, and verbal abuse, losses, praises, manipulation, power and control, hurt, pain, loyalty, survival, greed, fear, threats, obsession, possessiveness, lite drama and love.
April and her sister Amelia had been living with their uncle Harris for the past seven years after the death of their dad. Her uncle treats them like a prison in his home living in glided cage and watches constantly. He's involved in a low-level petty thieving ring running of smoothly of electronics where he would file off the serial numbers off things that should've of them and pry gems out of stolen rings. He constantly abuses April because he feels a burden for having to taking care of niece all these years. But instead of turning them over to the foster care even though there's high possibility that they would be split up. He has been plotting a nefarious plan for years on how he can get back all the money that he had spent starting with April. This is where The Black Door comes in, a place where women willing sell their virgin to the highest bidder for a night. He coerced her into selling her virginity unless he was going to turn to her twelve year sister.
Uncle Harris is greed and he thought that he was going to get a lot of money or that he could negotiate a higher price for what he wanted for her. However, what he didn't know that the man who was running the auction was more shady and nefarious than him and had his hands into everything and the house gets seventy percent while virgin gets forty. As soon as April turned eighteen her uncle took her took the The Black Door because he thought that he was finally going to get his payday. April begged him numerous times that she didn't wanted to do it and that she would work three job and give him all the the money. As soon as thirty-eight old Michael, the head bouncer saw April he knew that she didn't want to be there. Even though he have seen countless women come through the door something tells him that this girl doesn't want to be here. Michael is ex-army man and he had been working had The Black Door for two years, and scrimping and saving to get to France, where he renovate an old house and vineyard that he had bought from one of his army buddy; so that he can enjoy the countryside and some amazing wine.
He doesn't like being there but job pays good. Usually the virgins who comes sell their virginity are happy and full of life, April had his skin crawling and heart skin sink when he heard her voice. He knew something was off and after following them home and seeing with own two eyes that man was threatening and hit her to get on stage he was going to have to do the hardest in life bid her from the money that he had been saving for France. A steamy romance about a young woman who is forced to be in an auction for her virginity by her uncle but during the time the young woman and her uncle is in the office of the club so she can sign the contract to be in the auction a guard spots her after the young woman and the uncle come out of the office the guard and the young woman eyes meet and he can tell that she doesn’t want to do this. The young woman is afraid of her uncle, he’s abusive and he threatens her about doing the same thing that he does to her with her little sister. The guard follows the two all the way to an apartment building but decides that what must have been feeling from her was something else so he goes back to work.
That night the young woman and her uncle are back at the club where she is to be auctioned off tonight. The guard watches as the uncle slaps the young woman across the face and soon after he tells the manager about it but the woman still gets auctioned off. The guard can’t help but bid on her, wanting to get her out of there, he goes on stage daring anyone to make a bid, he wins the auction. The young woman passes out on stage and he picks her up, taking her away. He knows after this that he lost his job but it doesn’t matter to him since the young woman is safe with him now.
The guard takes the young woman to his small apartment where the two after a while have sex. The young woman trusts the guard and feels safe with him. During their time together they both tell things about themselves even though the young woman doesn’t tell the guard about the abuse he already knows due to the bruises he finds, she also doesn’t tell him about her little sister. When it gets light out the young woman has the guard take her back to her uncle’s apartment, she’s worried about her little sister.
The two think about each other when they are apart. The ex guard can’t take it anymore and after a couple days he follows her while she’s outside of the apartment, it has been a week when he sees the young woman and the uncle get into a cab, he follows them to a motel where a line of men are waiting. The ex guard figures out that the uncle is going to try to auction the young woman off himself but before he can the ex guard punches him in the face breaking his nose, he takes the young woman. The two drive to the school that the little sister attends and gets her out early after that the ex guard takes them to the uncle’s apartment to get some clothes before going back to his small apartment.
Once the two sisters are there they get settled in, the little sister has a room that was once a walk-in closet to use as a room with a camping mattress on the floor to sleep on as well as a chair to use as a night stand. The ex guard orders pizza and after eating pizza they have the little sister watch a movie. When the little sister is settled in watching the movie the young woman closes the door and goes to the ex guard they kiss, having sex. They tell each other how much they love one another. They sleep on the couch which pulls out into a bed.
The next morning the ex guard gets up, leaving a note he goes to get groceries as well as phones for the two sisters, he also picks up a broken handheld game with a broken screen. When he gets back to the small apartment he gets greeted by the young woman making coffee. The woman was worried about him being gone. The couple put the groceries away and cook breakfast. The three have a meeting about where to go from there and they decide to go to the vineyard that he owns in France, they start getting everything they need to go to France including passport pictures.
Six years later the couple is married and they are at the little sister’s graduation from a small school in the French countryside. The three worked hard to get the house fixed and the vineyard ready and they should have produce by fall. They are having the graduation party at the house so they leave to get it ready since they invited all of the little sister’s classmates to it. The little sister is going back to the States for college. The young woman sneaks off with her husband, she has a surprise for him, she’s pregnant. They go to their bedroom having sex while the party is still going after sex. The couple has no regrets about the decisions that they have made.
An easy to read novella which is a great page turner, a happily ever after with wonderful characters.

Auctioned to the Stranger, Book 3 of the Highest Bidder Club series, was about 28-year-old Michael, the head bouncer at The Black Door, and April, a girl who lived with her uncle and her sister. (There was no age for April other than that she was at least 18, had graduated from high school, and didn't work. Neither of the main characters was given a last name.)
Forced to live with an uncle who detested them after their parents died, April and her sister, Amelia did not have an easy life. The man ran a thieving ring, he forced his nieces to work like slaves because he felt they owed him for taking care of them, even though he had gotten the money from his brother's life insurance policy.
When things got worse, April was told she had to go to The Black Door for an auction at which she would sell her V-card or their uncle would hurt her 12-year-old sister. Not only did he starve and beat April, he forced her to walk several miles to the club the night she was to go up for auction.
Michael was a bouncer at The Black Door. He was saving up money for his vineyard and to renovate his home that he owned in France. When he saw April with her uncle entering the club, he knew something wasn't right. Later that night when they returned, he was certain he heard the man slap her a time or two, so he told his boss, but she did nothing about it other than to say she'd talk to the girl. Thinking that the woman would stop April from being auctioned off, Michael went to the front of the crowd by the stage to keep the peace. However, she was still going through with it, so he outbid everyone else and caught her as she fainted. He took her to his place, fed her, and then told her that, while he did want her, she didn't have to go through with it. He asked her to give him an hour to see if she wanted him in return, and she agreed. It didn't take the full hour.
When April returned to her uncle's place, she knew by the smile on his face he not only got the money from her sale but was also up to something. It didn't take long before he informed her he was going to sell her again and again, but without going through the club from then on. He was going to prostitute her out to his friends.
Michael didn't give up on April after taking her home. He did a bit of sleuthing and realized the reason she didn't leave her uncle when he offered to take her away from him was the fact that she was protecting her little sister.
A week after the auction, Michael rescued April when her uncle tried to sell her again, this time to some seedy guys at a run-down motel. He took her to get her sister and their things and took them home with him.
This story moved so fast that it left out a lot of information. While there was plenty of angst and drama, they didn't lead to anything. There wasn't any conflict after leaving her uncle's home. The story fell flat and it felt incomplete.
The two main characters didn't have enough background information, so they weren't fully developed or mature, and they had no room for growth. The book took place in the space of just over a week and then it ended. This was another disappointing story in the series, and I only gave it a two-star rating.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Seven years ago, April and her younger sister Amelia were forced to go and live with her uncle Harris after their father’s untimely death, they had gone from a loving parent to a man that instilled fear into them for fun. During the past seven years April has done things that she is not proud of but to keep her younger sister out of her uncle’s way she would do anything. And now that she is of age, he has a plan to make him some money quickly. He plans on selling her virginity to the highest bidder at the infamous club The Black Door and no matter how much she had begged and pleaded he could only think if his greed. But the man who won her is nothing like she expected and the way that he makes her feel safe, sexy and wanted. After the life that she has led you never would have thought that she would believe in love at first sight but that is exactly how he is making her feel, but can she believe that what they have shared is real and what will fate have in store for them when they return to the real world?
Michael has spent the last few years saving all that he could so that he could start a new life at the Vineyard he owns in France, he has saved every penny and should soon be able to finally escape the life that he is currently living. Being a doorman at the very exclusive and notorious Black Door Club is not how he expected to make a living, the club is famous for its auctions of available women, but nothing draws a crowd like a virgin. Getting ready to start his shift he catches sight of a woman that steals his breath, but one look into her eyes and he knows that there is something wrong and the man with her seems to be the one in control, he can see that she is not doing this because she wants to. But things finally come to a head when he sees her on that stage, he has a decision to make and that is to use all of his savings and steal away the beauty on the stage who he is sure was always meant to be his or turn his back and start the life that he has been desperate to get to for all these years?
This had everything that you could possibly want in a novella, the main characters were well written, and I found them totally believable and loved that there was an epilogue. 5*

Auctioned to the Stranger by Cassi Hart is a wonderful addition to the Highest Bidder Club Series. I have enjoyed reading the books in this series and especially loved books one and three. The plot for this story was original and very different from the previous two. Michael was a very intuitive man who had no problem stepping up and being April's knight and shining armor. He was an absolutely swoon-worthy alpha male whom I adored. April is a brave and strong woman who will do anything to protect her younger sister. Everything she has done is for that soul purpose. April is absolutely a damsel in distress and needed Michael to be her real life angel. I am sad to see this series coming to an end with only one book remaining.
April is being forced by her Uncle Harris to auction off her virginity. He demands she repays him every penny that he has spent to care for both her and her sister Amelia. After their father died seven years earlier she and her sister were forced to live with their uncle and not allowed to take a job, just do little illegal jobs like preparing stolen goods. She is monitored all the time and now has no choice, wanting to protect her sister. Michael is the head bouncer at the black door, where the auctions take place. He has been struggeling with what is happening there for a lont time, it eats at his soul. But he is saving for his dream to revive a wineyard in France. When he sees April, he can not watch her get auctioned off to somebody else, also knowing she is not there because she wants to. Will he be able to rescue her and what happens next?
I enjoyed the story and characters. Michael might be in the grey, but he acts and is so protective as is April in her own way and about her sistser. Love makes you do things you would not be able to otherwise.

Sweet Instalove Short with Swoony Hero that saves the day
This is a cute installment in the "Auction" series by Cassi Hart. In this story we meet April who is being forced by her criminal uncle to auction off her virginity to make him money as payback for caring for her and her sister for the last 6 years after her father died. She is being abused both emotionally and physically and doesn't feel she has a choice because of her little sister and the fact that she has nowhere to go. When she goes in to sign the contract she locks eyes with Micheal who is a bouncer at the club saving to restore a vineyard in France.
Michael suspects that something is wrong and she doesn't want to be there and tries to stop the auction, to no avail, when that doesn't work he decides to join the auction and save April even at the cost of his job.
This is a super short read and worth the effort, one of the better stories in the series so far in my opinion. Worth the read for sure.

April doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t want to enter the auction but her uncle will hurt Amelia if she doesn’t do as she’s told. At the auction house, she locks gazes with a bouncer who becomes her guardian angel. She doesn’t know it yet but he’s going to save her because she’s meant to be his and he won’t let anyone hurt her anymore.
This was a very sweet and steamy romance. Fast paced and right to the action. The characters were well developed and added good depth to the story.

Another fabulous instalove romance from author CH! The story follows April and her younger sister Amelia, who are tragically orphaned and left in the care of their unscrupulous uncle. Auctioned to the Stranger is book 3 of the Highest Bidder Club series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, girl gets her protective hunk romance. April is a young girl being forced to auction her virginity by her evil uncle. Michael is a 28 year old ex-military man who works as a bouncer at the Black Door Club where the auctions take place. From the moment he sees her, he knows April doesn't want to be there. Her abusive uncle is forcing her. When Michael is unable to stop the auction, he bids on April and wins. Can this unlikely duo find love? And can Michael keep her and her little sister safe from their uncle? Their chemistry was hot, and we did get a very happy ending. This was another great, short, and spicy read from Cassi.

When they are alone Michael shows her that its her choice about what to they do or don't do. They share an amazing night, but she refuses to stay so he follows her and watches. Its not long before he sees that she has a sister. He takes his chance to get her when he sees her uncle trying to hurt her again. This time he takes April and her sister home with him. Will he be able to keep them safe? Will April see that he is different from the men she has known?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

The protector in him won't let her be sold to a stranger, the beast in him roars that she is his, but before he can let his beast go wild and claim her, he has a lot of puzzle pieces to collect and plans to put in place to ensure the safety they need for a future. I love that Michael follows his gut instinct and acts before he can think, and even when he finds those missing puzzle pieces he doesn't hesitate to do the right thing...an angel indeed.

When April is forced to sell her virginity in the Black Door auctions because of her abusive uncle, who is guardian to her and her sister, she feels devestated until she catches the eye of Michael, security at the Black Door, but one who has reservations about the goings on that take place, and when he gets the smallest hint that April is not selling her virginity willingly, he tries to step in and protect her.
I liked that there seemed to be a bit more backstory and substance to the actual story in this story, with it exploring Michael pursuing April and then rescuing her and her sister. There is spice, but it's more of a sweet story with a happy ending and lots of smiles.

Another auction that ends with wedded bliss and happily ever afters. However, this ending was hard fraught with the abuse and threats that April has to endure at the hands of her uncle. But this gorgeous angel of a bouncer comes to her rescue. Not only that but he opens his heart and home to also protect her sister - awww. Then there is the French countryside which seems to be the perfect ending to this little fairy tale of the knight coming to the damsel's rescue.

I ended up liking this story even though I really wanted Uncle Harris to get some major comeuppance. It makes me mad that he still benefited from forcing April to participate in the auction. Michael was awesome and a bit obsessed but in a good way. He listened to his instincts and followed through when he confirmed that he was correct. I loved that he made room for Amelia even if it wasn’t very much room. April was sweet. She was also protective of Amelia. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.
