I'm sorry. I'm sure the author put in hard work into writing this, but the story was so bland. There's no chemistry between the MCs, and I can't connect with them. Maybe because this is a novella and it's fast-paced, that's why the plot didn't appeal??? I'm not sure, and I ended up skimming the rest of it once he successfully bid on her.
This might be a me problem, and other readers would find this novella interesting. 🤷♀️

THOUGHTS: Cassi Hart's novellas are my bread and butter. I love every single one she comes out with and this one was no different! The sex scenes were steamy as hell, the way they fall for each other is cute and romantic, and their chemistry is amazing. Four stars!

Holy jalapeños, this was such a sweet, spicy, and fun read!
The hero tries to hide his yearning and attraction to the heroine by being cold and aloof with her, but when he unwittingly finds himself in a club where the heroine is trying to auction herself out of desperation, he swoops in and claims her for himself. He won’t allow anyone else to have her!
This was a quickie, but a goody! Perfect to get your romance fix at lunch! (Which is exactly what I did!)
Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned and it doesn’t come off as if he’s a manwhore. The heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No om, very minor OW but it was more a competition for work and not after the hero. No cheating or sharing or abuse. HEA with epilogue.

Safe. No om drama and I’m not sure about the ow drama. h is told about the auction by a coworker who is also in competition with her for the job. She tells h about the auction and that the H won’t be there. h thinks she might have done it on purpose so H would see her and fire her. We’re not told if this was really the case. I think H mentioned having his assistant fire her.
Nothing is really mentioned about the H’s past but I don’t think he was a player and h is a virgin.
No abuse or cheating.

This was a short and Sweet boss/employee romance. Sloane lives with her grandma and interns at Easton's company. She needs a whole bunch of money because her grandma got scammed. So she auctioned off her V-card at a club. Easton gets invited to a club for a special evening. Guess who he finds there selling her V-Card. Sloane is his and now he has the perfect opportunity to finally make her his. Instalove, boss/employee, secret auction, steamy, romantic, sweet and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍😍😍😍

My Thoughts - My jaw literally dropped when Gran said, “We’ve been evicted, I’ve been hiding the notices.” YOU’VE BEEN DOING WHAT?????? I understand that this moves the plot to the sex auction, but it’s the principle of it all. Is the true antagonist of this book seemingly sweet Gran?
I didn’t realize this book was less than 100 pages. It does a decent job with pacing despite the length. The story is still wacky. The plot is brainless smut. There is a thimble of tension.

A beautifully written story with complex characters and an engrossing storyline that grabs your attention from the beginning and keeps you hooked and turning the pages until the end. An eye tale that with some informative and modernized tale that happens to our senior population daily. The story moves fast, addicting and unputdownable. The story is told from a dual point of view. A billionaire romance, age gap trope story, workplace romance, taboo story, employee-boss relationship, off-limits relationship, opposite attracts story, forbidden romance, insta-love, lust-at-first-sight, insta-everything, steamy short story, contemporary romance, virgin heroine, with a alpha protective hero, obsession, passion, pain, desperation, possessiveness, Ddlg kink, loss, jealousy, steam, survival, sold/bought at an auction and love.
Easton Stanhope is a twenty-eight year old successful billionaire workaholic tycoon in the industry of finance. He works 24/7 his most lucrative client Nikol Antonov that he knows makes his money dealing the mafia has been pressuring him to loosen up and live a little. Outstanding character in an easy to read page turner it also is steamy romantic with a happily ever after ending. An amazing read that can be read in a short time.
A magnificent novella about a young intern and the business owner that she works for and how the two fall in love with one another in a short period of time. Even though the young intern thought that the businessman didn’t feel the same way at first but wound up finding that they felt the same way about each other.
The businessman found the young intern up for bid at a business that a man that he works for owns so he bided and won her. During the time together he took her to his place, it was only to be a one night thing but soon he wanted more than one night, he was wanting the forever type. The two had sex several times until he had to leave due to some business the next morning
The young intern didn’t tell him until after the reason why she auctioned herself at the club. The young intern lives with her grandmother in a bad part of the city and sometime while she was at work for the businessman her grandmother got scammed out of their money so know they had no money and they got evicted out of the place they were at so they paid for a hotel room for a couple of nights then they would be out of money. A colleague at her work told her about the auction and how much she could get from doing it. That’s how she got there. The young intern found out that she would have high bids due to the fact that she was a virgin.
Several days after he bids for her at the auction they are together again and they tell one another they feel for each other. During this time he shows her three engagement rings while asking her to marry him and she tells him yes. He puts all three rings on her finger. Afterwards they have sex.
Three years later the couple is married. They are in France, they have a place and her grandmother has an apartment close by. The couple is at an auction where the young intern is bidding on several things. She wins the items that she was bidding on. Her husband is reminded about the auction that he got her at. After paying for the items they make their way back to their place. They make their way through to the bedroom where they start talking about the items that she bought. One was a bassinet and soon he figures out that she’s pregnant. The businessman is planning to make his head of operations for his business there so he can stay with his wife instead of having to travel for work all the time and that he’s not going to work so much.
They both love one another and they can’t wait to have their own little family. They kiss and have sex, telling one another that they love each other.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Sloane has wanted to work in finance for as long as she can remember and the internship at Stanhope’s is her opportunity to shine but when she discovers that her gran has lost everything after falling for a scam and they are about to be homeless her life is about to fall apart around her ears, that is until her friend and fellow intern tells her about The Black Door and that she could easily make enough money to save them from living on the streets, all she had to do was auction her virginity. Knowing she has little choice she prepares for a night that she has no idea is going to change everything, especially when she sees the man who is bidding on her. Will this auction cost her more than just her body but her dreams as well or will it give her something that she never thought she could have?
Easton has spent his life building up his business and has had many interns but what he has been feeling for Sloane is something unfamiliar, but he is determined to keep things just business between them, she distracts him in a way that he has never been before and because of that he finds himself agreeing to attend Nikol Antonov’s club on Saturday night not knowing what he is going to find. Within minutes of entering the Black Door club he knows that he has made a mistake but when he catches sight of his intern Sloane decked out in lingerie that he is imagining tearing off her he knows that there is no way that he is leaving without her. It’s a night that changes everything for him but does Sloane feel the same as him, he never meant to fall for his intern but now that he has there is no way that he is going to give her up not without a fight. Is this a HEA or will he have his heart broken?

Part of the Highest Bidder Club sexy boss and the one who captured his attention it can be read in under an hour or so. Easton sexy as all get out billionaire works all the time making money in his finance the thing of it is most of his money is made with a man who is the mafia who often tells him he works too much to come to his club loosen up just a little but being the workaholic has never taken the time and he doesn’t really want to associate with/around his client yet to get him off his back he agrees in hopes of gaining more clients. He has heard the rumors about his club and all the shenanigans that go on behind that black glass door, something that really doesn’t interest Easton but for new clients he will agree. Easton wants no part in the auctioning of women so deciding to leave until he see who the virgin is and decides to bid intending to win her upset that she would even put herself in that position especially after finding out why but will she let him help her, will she think he is pitting her, will they be honest about their feeling for each other, and where are they headed happiness?

When the other intern overhears of an auction that could allow her to recover financially, she feels she has no choice but to participate. What she isn't expecting is that the boss that she is secretly attracted to, the one that wasn't supposed to be there, not only is, but is the one that buys her.
Easton has been obsessed with his intern Sloane since she began working for him. He has noticed she seems stressed recently but doesn't feel he can ask why. When a powerful client invites him to his mysterious club, Easton feels obligated to attend. When he arrives, he is horrified to learn what will be taking place and when he sees that his precious Sloane is the main focus of the auction. He knows he can not allow anyone else to win her. He also knows his life will change from here forward.
This was definitely an OTT storyline. The story was well written and executed. The only thing that felt odd for me was that Sloane was 19, which seems young for this type of internship since she would likely just be starting college. I felt there was plenty of chemistry between the main characters, and their attraction felt realistic. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

For a short read, this was pretty angsty. I think the main character's age, as she is only 19, and the situation she has found herself in don't help her emotional well-being in any way and amplify the emotional turmoil she feels.
Sloane is 19 years old, lives with her grandmother, and is an intern for the lead male character, Easton. She has a crush on him, and unbeknownst to her, he quite likes her too, but due to his role as her boss plus the age gap, he keeps his distance. Unfortunately for Sloane, she's found herself in some financial trouble. Her grandmother has been scammed, and they've lost everything, including their home, leaving them desperate. Sloane is willing to do anything to help her grandmother, so when her fellow intern and secret nemesis, Kate, suggests auctioning off her virginity, Sloane doesn't see that she has any other choice; she really is that desperate. The situation is made worse when an accidental encounter finds Easton at the auction, and to save Sloane, he bids on her and takes her home.
What follows is a major miscommunication trope, as Sloane thinks Easton pities her and doesn't understand he has genuine feelings for her due to how he has previously acted. There is a lot of push and pull between the two before they both admit their feelings and establish a relationship.

Cassi Hart continuous to amaze me with her ability to deliver original stories considering the amount of books she publishes per year. I can't think of another author who also writes short quick easy read stories that does this consistently. Cassi is my absolute favorite author when it comes to these types of books because honestly, she has never once let me down. Both Easton and Sloane were wonderful characters. These two were perfect for one another and I adored their story. They shared an intense chemistry that became explosive the minute they found themselves together in one another's arms. If the rest of the books in the Highest Bidder Club Series are as good as Auctioned to my Boss then this is going to be an amazingly fun series to read.

Sloane and Easton, they’re both attracted to each other. Easton masks his attraction by being super gruff and cold, so much so that Sloane believes that he doesn’t like her and that her job may be in jeopardy. Sloane, fantasizes about her boss bending her over his desk, which makes her very quiet and reserved around him. But Sloane is really good at her job, so much so that another intern feels that Sloane will get the job and she won’t. So when she learns Sloane is in desperate need of money, she sets her up but telling her about the virgin auction, and lying and telling her their boss will not be there. Oh, but he is, and he is obsessed with Sloane.
I LOVE the Auctioned books, their so much fun, okay, I really, really don’t need EVERY one of the women to be a virgin. I mean seriously, I get it but still it would be nice if they were not for a change. But that doesn’t change that Cassi writes women characters that are amazing, they’re strong, fierce, determined, and smart. But they also care about people. One of the things I really like about her FMC’s is that they are always women who lift up other women, not tear them down. She builds worlds which makes space for women to grow, and men to be men and at the same time be present and better for the women in their lives then the norm. It’s why we read romance novels, right? And Cassi Hart delivers, Ever. Single. Time.

The book opens with 28 Year Old Billionaire Easton in a meeting with a client who is trying to get him to loosen up and come out to his exclusive club. While ending that meeting his two interns enter. One is the object of his hidden desire, Sloane, who is a 19 year old college student who lives with her "Gran." Despite taking on this internship sure that they could get by with the lower paycheck, her Gran is swindled for all their savings as well as a loan. Kate, the competitive Intern, eavesdropped on the boss and discovered that the exclusive club the the client invited their boss to visit, actually holds an auction and suggests that Sloane take part to ease her money troubles while assuring her that her boss will not be attending (which we all know he's totally going). Sloane, upon arriving home to find they have been evicted decides she has not choice and decides to auction her virginity to avoid ending up homeless permanently.
This is a short novella. It is fairly predictable, yet has a few holes I wish had been addressed but were forgivable and didn't take away from the story. It's a cute read with a happily ever after. If you have a free hour and want a light billionaire savior Age Gap Virgin troupe, this checks all the boxes.

Auctioned to my Boss, Book 1 of the Highest Bidder Club series, was about 28-year-old Easton Stanhope, and 20-year-old Sloane (no last name and I only guessed at her age. When Easton offered her a drink, she said she wasn't old enough. So she was somewhere between 18 and 20.).
This was a fast-paced novella. Most of the story was revealed in the Blurb, so I won't repeat it in my review. There was some angst, more drama, and a touch of spicy scenes. There was also some other woman wannabe betrayal that added enough conflict to make it interesting. However, the book was so short (10 brief chapters) that there wasn't any backstory on either of the main characters. The author didn't go into detail about the company the MMC owned, and it wasn't clear whether or not the FMC was in college. It was pretty much a blank slate story that needed a lot more content than it had.
The two main characters weren't at all well-developed, and their maturity level was questionable. The book was short enough that there wasn't time for them to grow, and that was disappointing.
I could only give this a two-star rating, and that was being generous. Hopefully, the other books in the series have more content. I hate being left wanting more.

She lives with her Grandma and money is very tight for them. Then she found out that her Grandma was scammed and all of their savings is gone. They are evicted and need a solution quick.
One of Sloane’s coworkers tells her about an auction that pay hundreds of thousands of dollars of course the catch is she has to give up her v-card to the highest bidder. Without many options, Sloane decides to do it. While there, she spots Easton. He manages to be the highest bidder and rushes her out of there.
Many misunderstandings ensue but ultimately everything comes to light. This author, Cassi Hart, is one of the most brilliant authors that I have read. I always hope for a HEA but she always guides me there with her words.

Auctioned to my Boss is book 1 in the Highest Bidder Club series... and it's hot 🔥 folks. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, girl gets her billionaire boss romance. Sloane is a 19 year old finance intern. Easton is the 28 year old hunky billionaire CEO of the company she works at. For a variety of reasons, Sloane is in financial trouble and decides to auction off her virginity at a high-end club. Easton happens to be there and claims her. He has wanted her since she started working for him but has resisted since she was his employee. But Easton is determined to make Sloane his forever. Will she believe him?? Their chemistry was so hot that my Kindle was throwing sparks 🥵🌶. There is a little angst, but we then get a great HEA. I loved this couple. Cassi's stories just keep getting hotter and hotter 🔥!! This was a great read.

Sloane works for Easton and doesn't think he likes her. She is struggling financially when a co-worker mentions an auction at a club of a client of their boss's. As a last resort she signs up for it because after work she learns that she and her grandmother have been evicted. She is stunned when Easton shows up and bids for her at the auction and wins. Easton wants her to know that he won't do anything she doesn't want him to and its not long before they get together. Will this lead to something more between them? Can she finally leave her struggles behind?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This was a fun and steamy series opener that, well, I guess didn't start off all that fun for Sloane. She lives with her Gma and they got scammed out of their savings, kicked out of their apt and yeah, roach motel :( Her internship at Easton's company doesn't pay enough to get them back on their feet again but when a co-worker shares about an auction that pays huge for one night, she decides its the only way forward. To make her nerves totally fly away, she sees Easton at the auction - and he wins her ;P What follows is an OTT romance that has Easton finally sating his obsession with Sloane, and Sloane realizing that he wants way more than smexy times with her. Sloane's worst day ever turned into the beginning of her HEA. Good fun!
