Caleb (21) found out his best friend Shanna (21) was going to auction her v-card to start up her singing career. Then he got furious about that idea and sold every asset that he had to be able to bid on her, and when it wasn't enough, he stole from his former partner to win the auction. That was one of the questionable things I've ever read so far, and am I supposed to swoon over him getting broke just to bid on Shanna???

Also, I despise vagueness in my books, and it was not clear if he was a virgin too. He said he's been in love with her since second grade, but no information about his dating life was given.

But this was Shanna's line in one chapter: "What if I just didn't stack up against the more experienced women I know he's been with? A couple of times a month, he has to go to California or Texas for business. Now that I think about all the beautiful women who've pounced on my man, I want to be sick."

If that was freaking true, then I call BS on his supposed love for her. He shouldn't sleep with anyone else when he knows deep down she's the one for him. Then again, if this is true, that was freaking annoying because he used to scare away all boys and men who showed interest in Shanna, but it's okay if he's been sleeping around?? BUT if that's not true, (because again, it wasn't clear if he's virgin too) I would admire Caleb for saving himself too. I would definitely swoon that he's faithful to her.

So I'm not going to rate this because I'm annoyed that I didn't get any clarity as to whether this is a dual virgin or not. As for the plot, it was meh; everything happened over a night, then they talked to his former partner about how to pay for what Caleb stole, and then it was the epilogue.

THOUGHTS: This is my least favorite Cassi Hart book so far. Caleb ends up stealing from his boss, losing his livelihood, etc in trying to "win" Shana at the auction. Shana is ridiculously selfish and doesn't see what she did wrong. Also, it's not clear if Caleb was a virgin or not, and I wish he was.. he's been in love with her since 2nd grade.

Part of the Highest Bidder Club each can be read as a standalone with an auction, an overprotective best friend, and the one who captures his attention. Caleb and Shana have both loved one another but sometimes miscommunications get int the way. Caleb sexy as all get owner of tech company, lives without spending much, every action he takes it is for his best friend, his girl, he fell in love with at eight years old and so doing everything in his power to give her everything her heart desire. Shana is sweet when she wants to be one of the best singers with a voice of an angel trying her best to make it in a world that is nearly impossible to make it in without knowing the right people, she has loved her best friend Caleb since forever yet when she tried to hint to him how she feels, he didn’t return her feelings so she assumed he wanted to stay in the best friends spot, and so moving on with her singing career has become her goal. But no matter how many hours she works at the diner she can never make enough to afford studio time despite the support from their town, friends, family, so selling the one thing worth was her v-card but her best friend isn’t going to let anyone else win her so the bidding war starts coming down to Caleb and an much older man. Winning her cost him everything and he stole from his friend Leo which can end death so now they are broke together but will he be okay with his friend Leo, will she come to her senses realizing she has been a little quick to assume, will he be able to make money again, will she understand what he gave up to win her, and can they find happiness some where in all the shenanigans?

Caleb is our MMC and he has been in love with Shana, our MFC, since the 2nd. grade. She’s his best friend and everything he does in life he does the best…for Shana, the woman he’s plans to marry. He’s big shouldered, dark hair, blue eyed and handsome. And she of course is beautiful with a great singing voice. She loves him, too but realizes later to what depth.
Well Shana has decided to sell her virginity at a club called The Black Door, ran and owned by The Mob. She has dreams of singing and thinks it’s fast money to sell her virginity.. Of course she hasn’t thought anything else through. She had wanted Caleb as her first but she thought he had friend zoned her. Not realizing he loved her.
Caleb grabs a plane and goes there immediately to stop it. What follows is quite entertaining and eventful. With spells of drama, questions and not just one auctions but almost two 😁!
Through all the drama, they do get a happily ever after 🥰. This is a great book and not surprised because the author is Cassi Hart after all 🥰!
This is a fairly short read with a virginal MFC. It’s a sweet, spicy and everlasting love story you won’t regret reading.
As Shana told Caleb..”Thank you for being my first, my only, my best…”.

Auctioned to my Best Friend, Book 2 of the Highest Bidder Club series, was about 21-year-old Caleb, a partner in a tech business, and 21-year-old Shana, a waitress and wannabe singer.

Shana decided to auction off her V-card to be able to afford an apartment in New York so that she could be close to the businesses that would help get her singing career started. When her BFF learned from her sister what she planned to do, Caleb rushed from Oklahoma to New York hoping to stop her before it was too late.

I have to say I absolutely detested this story. Sure there was angst and drama, but this chick was one hundred percent selfish in her actions. She never took into account everything Caleb gave up for her, and she decided to sell herself a second time after he'd already saved her? After everything he gave up? After he put his very freedom at risk for her?

This wasn't romantic. This was about a girl who only thought of herself, who only cared about what SHE wanted. She left her hometown behind, including her sick father, and her sister who was single-handedly raising children while her husband served in the National Guard. All so she could pursue her dream of being a famous singer.

One thing was certain by the end of this story, and that was the relationship between these two wouldn't last long because not only would the fallout from the whole incident eventually create resentment in the MMC, but this chick would probably come up with other hair-brained ideas that the MMC would have to bail her out of...over and over and over again. He would eventually grow tired of giving up everything to "save" her from herself and he would either cheat or he would divorce her in the end.

This book didn't deserve any stars, and I have to say I was sorry I read it before I even reached the end. I won't ever give this book a second chance. Not even if the author were to trash it and start over. This was a horrible book.

A brilliantly written story with related characters and fascinating storyline that captures the reader attention from the first chapter and keeps you hooked and turning the pages and rooting for their HEA. A smoldering, heart-warming, fast paced, quick read story. Caleb has had a crush on his best friend Shana since he was eight years old all the way to adulthood. Shana is very talented with a beautiful voice and would all talent showcase in their small town in Oklahoma and Caleb would be right there cheering her on. Because in his eyes she was his, the end game for him. She just didn't know it yet and everything that he's done in his life is all leading towards their future. Shana has also had crush on Caleb for a long time and would often flirt with him. But when Caleb didn't acted on her advances she thought that the feelings wasn't reciprocated. Because of his intentions he made sure to finish school faster than he's supposed to. He has garner some success by partnering with Leo, a very ruthless businessman and they have started their own tech company and as manage to sold the first patent.
Caleb lives a very frugal life in anticipation of the life that he Shana is going to live and saving all his money. He made two extravagant purchases after they sold the patent, and it was vintage restored his old pickup truck and the purchase of home. Shana wants to get a head in her singing career and although she performs at open mic and have the support of her sister, best friend, friends, and the town's people it's not enough for where she's trying get to in the small town of hers. Because she can not even afford studio times on meager salary that she gets from working at the diner. Her dream is to go and live in New York City. She went there for an audition but didn't of enough because everything was too expensive. She was walking around when she saw a sign for The Black Door, a place where she can auction off her virginity to the highest bidder and decided to sign up. She knows that the money that she makes from the auction would be enough for a place to live, and endless studio sessions.
Shana is a twenty-one year old virgin and would worth a killing for The Black Door. She believes that she will be getting a lot of money and really doesn't know that the club is shady. She texts her sister and tells her about her plans her sister in turn calls Caleb upset because she thought he knew. Caleb got on plane immediately to try and stop the madness before it occurs, but was informed that he had to come back at ten o'clock for the auction. She saw Caleb out front and told him that it was too late and that he should go home. In trying to help her and makes sure that come home with him. Caleb sold his brand new house that he had for only six months, his vintage pick-up truck that he had restored and his neighbor keeps begging him to selling to him, his share of his company, max out his credit cards. You see Shana figures that since she was selling her virginity she knows that it wouldn't be a hearts and candlelight setup.
Shana was mad when she saw Caleb in the audience bidding on her because he had only seen her in a swim suit, and the lady who had sign her up for the auction had told her not to be surprised about the type of men who will be bidding on her. But she had at least thought they were in their thirties and forties and not grandpa's. The bidding got down to only Caleb and grandpa and he looked mean and ruthless. The man looked old enough to be her grandfather. Suddenly, she was no longer mad that he there anymore to her plans. She was using her eyes to pleading to Caleb for him to save her, since he have his business partner Leo banking information from when he sold him his stole some money from his account. He knows that messing with Leo is signing his death sentence but he had to do it.
He won bid and was able to walk away with her. But now he's broke and had to stay in with her. She had the audacity for be still be being mad at him even after everything he did. He had to remain her that she belonged to him at least for the night even though he was trying to restrain himself from touching. However, she wanted him as much as he wanted her and they tear up sheets all night long to exhaustion. However, they were a lot of misconception between these two with them coming clean about their feelings for each other and Shana makes to many rash decisions instead of communicating with Caleb because of her that's why he's broke, in trouble with his ex-partner, etc. She continued not communicating but I definitely loved the five year epilogue to see their success and happiness. Another great addition to series, can't wait for the next one.

A wonderfully steamy romantic happily ever after ending which is well written, a great page turner with amazing characters that’s easy to read also.
A novella about two best friends that by the end find out that they have had feelings for one another for a long time. The best friends have known each other since they were in grade school together.
The woman wants to go to New York to start her career as a singer so she told her sister who got upset and got ahold of her best friend telling him about it, the sister keeps on texting him information after they talk. He finds out about her planning on auctioning off her virginity and is outraged about it since he wants her for himself.
The best friend flies to New York to bring her back to Oklahoma and their hometown. The man finds the hotel that the woman is staying at but when she doesn’t answer his knocking he goes to the club that the woman is having her virginity auctioned off at. When she gets to the club she notices her best friend waiting for her so she sneaks past him to get to the back door of the club.
While the man has been waiting for his best friend to show up he has been selling everything, even his part of the business he has with another guy, he even borrows money from friends and family. The woman gets on stage with only skimpy lingerie on. The bidding starts and the best friend is the winning bidder. Come to find out that the man stole money from his ex business partner to come up with the money to win the bid.
They went back to her hotel and had sex. The next morning they went to have breakfast and decided to go sightseeing. That night after they got back to the hotel she took a shower while he sat on the bed worrying about everything that had happened. When the woman comes out of the bathroom he decides to go to the hotel’s bar to get a drink leaving the woman alone in the room to worry about what’s going on. The woman went after she got dressed to the club that had the auction. She wanted to get the money to help her best friend out of the problem she put him in.
The man goes to the room finding it empty and his rental gone from the parking lot so he gets a cab and goes back to the club. He winds up finding out that the woman is trying to get auctioned off again. He finds her and carries her out of the back door of the club, he doesn’t stop until they are a way down from the club. They're in an alley where they have sex, they wind up telling each other how they feel as well as that they love one another.
They return back to their hometown in Oklahoma and he goes to talk to his ex partner about paying back the money that he took from him. The ex partner gives the man a job paying him regular wages and makes the woman promise not to do what she did again. They are trying to plan a wedding as well as pay back the money to the ex partner so she starts singing at a bar. The man also does other computer type jobs that he finds online.
Five years later it’s their five year wedding anniversary and they have a two year old daughter. The man has his own business that he does in their guest house on their property next to their house. The woman’s sister is taking their daughter so they can have their anniversary alone. Before the daughter wakes up the woman goes through their wedding album. After the daughter gets up they go to get her husband from the guest house and the daughter goes with the sister. The couple talk about her singing at her club before going into the house and having sex in their bedroom. The woman talks about having an auction at the club, they talk more and she tells his music memorabilia auction. The woman almost gave her husband a heart attack.

Shana has always loved Caleb, they met as children and over the years her love has only grown stronger, but she has decided to face the fact that he is never going to see her as anything other than a friend, every time that she has tried to show him her true feelings, she has found herself faced with rejection. So its time to concentrate on the other love of her life and that is singing so with that in mind she knows that there is no way that she is going to save enough to get in the studio and record a demo tape so when she discovers the Black Door, a high end club that will pay her for her V Card and with that money she can afford to finally book that studio time and stay in New York and make her dream come true. She never thought that Caleb would follow her, could Caleb want something more from her other than friendship or is he here because he feels he has to take care of her?

Caleb has been planning his life with Shana since the day they met as children, he has always known that they were meant to be, the house he has bought and had her decorate is for them to spend their life together and start the family he has always planned, it is the reason that he has spent the past few years building the tech company he has with a friend, wanting to secure his future. However, he has forgotten to tell the one person that natters in this scenario, Shana herself. He had no idea that she was in New York to sell her body to the highest bidder and there is nothing that he won’t do to be the man who wins her but he plans n winning her for the rest of his life. Will Caleb be able to save Shana from herself, and could they have the future that he has always pictured or is he too late?

This is a weird one for me as I did like the book, but Caleb isn’t really what I look for in a hero especially with what he does to get the money he needs. I am not going to say too much in regard to the story and it was still a great read. 4*

This is the first book ever by Cassi Hart that I didn't love and it truly pains me to say this. When it comes to the quick easy read books Cassi is my absolute favorite author. I have read so many books by her...that I have literally lost count. So, I guess it was bound to happen eventually and that is okay. Auctioned to my Best Friend had an original plot with some very spicy intimate scenes. I found myself liking Caleb more than Shana. To be honest Shana got on my ever loving last nerve several times and I wanted nothing more than to shake some sense into her. The situation Shana put herself into with little to no thought of the possible consequences for her actions was very frustrating. I understood what she wanted to accomplish by auctioning off her v-card, but it was one of the most selfish things that Shana could have done because she knew how it would affect her sister and best friend. I sure hope the third book in the Highest Bidder Club Series is much better than this one.

Shana has decided she needs to move to New York if she wants to make it big in the music industry. The only problem - Shana doesn't have enough money to make this happen. So, she decides to sign up to auction off her v-card to the highest bidder. Shana made the mistake of telling her sister who calls Shana's best friend Caleb to talk some sense into her little sister. Shana has put Caleb in a real jam now because he will be forced to make some drastic decisions that will negatively effect his future if he wants to save his best friend, the only girl he has ever loved. The question: how pissed will Shana be when she sees Caleb sitting in the audience trying to make decisions for her once again?

I'm usually a massive fan of Cassi's works, but this one was just not enjoyable for me.
The FMC Shana is an entitled brat. I can't describe her as anything else. Her actions to me made no sense; they were childish and selfish. She claimed that Ethan was her best friend, and she loved him and would have loved him to be her first, yet she was quite happy to be planning a whole new life without him in New York. She was happy to sell her V Card in a dodgy auction, and then when he sold everything he had, upended his entire life, and stole from his boss so that he could stop her from doing something she would regret and claim her as his own, she still wasn't appreciative or grateful. Absolutely terrible lead character.
Ethan's character was only mildly better. He was a bit of a pushover. He sacrificed everything for her, and if the both of them had originally pulled their heads out of their asses and communicated, then the whole situation could have been avoided, but these two so-called best friends suck at communication. He did have a few moments of alpha energy, but that was only when pushed to the absolute extremes.
There was no real development in their relationship; it was just anger and then the public claiming, 'You are mine' and an epilogue of a happy ever after. It just wasn't what I'm used to from this author, sadly, and I missed the mark.

I'm super torn on how to review this particular story, because for ME it is horrible. I hate it. And I normally LOVE Cassi Hart stories; they are usually quick, sweet (and/or spicy) spicy reads with characters you root for, but here.......... omg. These two have to be the ST**idest couple I've ever read about in a romance story (collectively); also, they are bone-deep toxic for each other (no communication whatsoever; wild, utterly irresponsible behavior; and no accountability--if they were actually "best friends" I cannot logically see a way that they ended up in this situation.... so it feels quite contrived all the way through). It just makes no sense to me as the reader AT ALL. This one is a great big mess. And I'm torn, because it's actually really well-written, just like all the other Cassi Hart stories I enjoy, but I've never been so flabbergasted and angry at the actions of fictional characters, and I read a LOT of dark romance. This isn't dark in any way shape or form; you just have two really du*b characters doing really d*mb things that make ZERO sense, and I couldn't find a way to find them redeemable. I'm only giving it 3 stars out of respect to every other Cassi Hart story I've enjoyed over the years, but if this had been the first one I'd read, I never would have been back.

Auctioned to My Best Friend is the second book in the Highest Bidder Club by Cassie Hart.

Shana has dreams of becoming a singer and is tired of getting nowhere in her small hometown. With limited money and limited opportunity, she feels stuck. When she learns about an auction that can give her plenty of money and access to places to showcase her talent, she runs away to do it. 

Caleb has been working tirelessly to build a life for him and his best friend Shana. He wants her to have everything she dreams of. He has been in love with her since they were kids and has always planned to marry her. Unfortunately,  she has no idea. When he finds out she is auctioning herself off to the highest bidder, he is furious. He sets off to NYC to stop her. Of course, it's not that simple, and he loses everything in order to save her.

I read most, if not all, of Cassie Hart's books, and I enjoy her writing a lot. Overall, this was not my favorite. I didn't really like Shana's character that much. I didn't feel the chemistry on her part or gratitude that I felt should be there. I am sure I will read the next in the series,  hopefully it will be better.

In Auctioned to my Best Friend the FMC is 21 year old Shana from an unnamed small Oklahoma Town makes the decision to fly to NYC to Auction her Virtue so she has money to become a singer…. (Side Eye). Of course the MMC, Caleb, rushes to NYC to save the day and buy his best friend and secret love of his life before she can sell what is his.

So this is a novella, with a completely unlikable FMC and a stupid MMC. I instantly hated Shana she was selfish and an idiot. Caleb was too stupid to be noble. They both do some really unrealistic and improbably things. I have to admit I kept reading just to see how this mess was going to get untangled.

Overall, it’s a short read. I love reading so I won’t say its was a waste of time, but I also can’t say I plan to read it ever again. I think maybe if the reason she needed money wasn’t so selfish and foolish, I might have been able to get on board with the unrealistic parts. It also didn’t help that Shana just keeps making dumb decisions and Caleb never addresses it, he just keeps solving the problems.

I like a good unrealistic story, this one is just too unrealistic to really enjoy it.

Auctioned to My Best Friend:
Caleb (21) tech business partner, has been in love with Shana since he was in 2nd grade. He has been building his life around Shana and everything he does is with her in mind. So when he got a call from her sister Melanie that Shana is in NY. He loses his mind and leaves for NY because he has plans to follow her around the world as she chases her dreams of being a singer. But he has to save her first.
Shana (21) needs money to chase her dreams of being a singer and in NY she thinks she will have a chance. She has had a crush on Caleb forever but he has never made any moves so her dreams of being with Caleb for the first time goes out the window when she decided to auction off her v-card. She just needs to remember what she is doing this for, her dream, singing. She can’t believe she is going to walk through that Black Door.
This is a best friend crush since childhood, chasing dreams and building a future, she is tired of waiting and he is making everything perfect for her. Cute and passionate, throwing everything to the wind to save the one that means more than all the riches in the world.

Caleb has loved Shana for as long as he could remember. Shana has been in love with Caleb but they are best friends so neither wants to admit their feelings to each other. Shana also wants to be a professional singer so she takes off to New York for her chance. At first, Caleb supports her until her finds out how she’s going to afford to live there.
Shana is going to auction off her v-card to be able to live there. Caleb books a flight to NY and frees up as much cash as he can so he can compete for her. He had been saving all his money for his life with Shana. He bought a beautiful house and worked so hard so they could have a comfortable life together. The things that Caleb does for Shana is unprecedented. Though Shana tries to make things right for Caleb as well.
This book was so fantastic! I loved reading it and found the relationship between Caleb and Shana to be very touching. They both wanted to do right by each other and are willing to do whatever it took. Ultimately all it took was for them to admit their love for each other.

I loved Caleb and how he was all in with Shana. And I love the Friends to Lovers trope, especially when it’s a Childhood Crush. Shana had a case of Too Stupid To Live with signing up for the auction, and then she tries to do something ridiculous later in the book that really frustrated me. But I was involved enough with the story to feel frustrated, and a good book makes you feel. If you can get past the whole auction concept, this book is entertaining.

Shana (h) leaves Oklahoma for New York with dreams of making it big as a singer and soon realizes she needs funds to fund her dream. She turns to a private club auction, intent on selling herself to the highest bidder, despite her wishing Caleb (H), her best friend since grade school, was going to be her first experience. When Caleb hears about the auction, he’s willing to sacrifice everything, and more, to save Shana, his secret one true love from being with another man. Caleb is so amazing, giving up everything for Shana. She’s kind of frustrating when she tries to make things right – just talk things through with Caleb and stop rushing ahead without thinking. Shana and Caleb have been best friend since grade school and have both secretly loved one another. Neither one has told the other how they feel and have been waiting for the right moment or time.

Shana wants to be a singer and needs money to help kickstart her career. She ends up joining an auction for virgins in order to get that money.

Caleb has been pushing himself to become successful and be the man he believes Shana needs. When he finds out about the auction, he will sacrifice everything to make sure he’s the winner!

This was an overall good read, but the chemistry between the two main characters was a little off to me. Just didn’t feel that connection and draw like in other books by this author. Still looking forward to the next book though.

auctioned and saved by her best friend

A friends to lovers romance brought around by an auction. Caleb and Shana have been best friend their whole lives. He has dreams of building a life that can support her dream of being a singer. Not knowing this she tries to find it herself with an auction. Caleb isn’t about to stand by and watch the love of his life auction off what belongs to him. This auction is different because although Caleb has money he’s not the kind of rich that wins auctions. He does everything he can to come up with the money which is going to lead to consequences down the line. Plus they will struggle with what it all means for their friendship. Some twists and turns due to Shana’s difficulties with making logical choices but all coming together to a really happy ending.

Shana is desperate for money and although she expected her first time losing her v would be all hearts and flowers , she would have liked her first to be Caleb but he friend zoned her…she has to put herself up to to auction to the highest bidder…Caleb has been in love with her since their second grade. She’s the girl he’s planning to marry…when he finds out her plans of course ,he jumps on a plane to stop her … a double auction ??…. Happy ever after? No spoilers here. It’s a feel good romance when they get their acts together and sing from the same hymn sheet. Her one and only , her first and best forget the rest! Great writing as per from this prolific author

CH is the queen of fast-paced short stories with an OTT alpha male and a sweet innocent heroine. Shana dreams of hitting it big in the music industry, but she needs the cash to fund her efforts. When an opportunity to make some fast cash presents itself, she leaps at the chance. Caleb has been in love with Shana, his best friend, for years. There is absolutely no way he’s going to let anyone take her innocence. She’s his and it’s about time she learns that! Super sweet and steamy with a fabulous happily-ever-after.

Short n sweet and a super scorcher! Loved the passion and emotion in their first time smexy scene! Heroine was as dumb as a box of rocks, but the hero saves the day.

Another reviewer mentioned that the hero’s past isn’t mentioned, specifically nothing is clearly stated if the hero waited for the heroine since they’re childhood friends. This also bothered me and why it’s not getting 5 stars. This was a fail on the authors part to NOT explicitly state the hero hadn’t been with anyone else. However I choose to believe he waited and hadn’t slimed around with any other woman, that he stayed faithful to the heroine

Safety unknown. Hero’s past, if any, is not mentioned. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No real others, but heroine is willing to sell herself and sleep with OM to repay the hero for going bankrupt over her. Thankfully hero saves her from her stupidity. No cheating or sharing or abuse. Shana has a desire to be a singer and feels the best way to get it is to auction herself off to get enough money to make her dream come true. What she doesn’t understand is the guys who will buy her are not all like her best friend Caleb. Who has loved her since forever. He does what he has to do to win her in the auction and things go ok then not ok. (not telling you anymore to spoil it). But as all Cassi’s books they end in a HEA after some major angst in Calebs life to finally convince Shana she is it for him. She is his everything and always has been. Very good book and a quick read. Now need to get the other books and complete my series.

Caleb is co-owner of a company. He gets a frantic call from his best friend’s sister that she has done something crazy. Shana is Caleb’s best friend and the girl he is in love with. She is a singer looking for a big break, so she decides to auction her virginity.
Caleb is determined to win her.
I love Caleb’s character he is so in love and protective of Shana that he is willing to risk everything for her.
Shana also is willing to give up her dream for him.
This is a steamy short read about seeing what’s right in front of you.

Auctioned to My Best Friend is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, friends-to-lovers romance. Shana is an aspiring singer. Caleb is a partner in a tech business. Caleb and Shana have been best friends since second grade. Both are secretly in love with each other, thinking that the feelings are not reciprocated by the other. When Shana heads to NY to auction off her virginity, Caleb is determined to win her as she belongs only to him. The chemistry was pure fire, and after issues were resolved, we got an amazing HEA. I'm always a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers romance, and this did not disappoint.

He sacrificed everything for her

I’m not sure how I feel about this story. Both Shana and Caleb made me want to smack them upside the head. Mostly Shana with her repeated bad decisions that were just ridiculous. Caleb sacrificed everything that he had earned for Shana and she was so ungrateful. His pursuit of Shana was desperate due to his love for her. Caleb was willing to do whatever he had to do to save Shana. Unfortunately I didn’t feel like she would return the favor. I did like how most of how the story ended. I recommend reading this book for yourself to see if maybe you like it more than I did.

Bad. Just bad.

I have read this ebook via Kindle Unlimited and this is my honest opinion:
Shana - FMC - self absorbed, conceited, petulant and obnoxious.
Caleb - MMC - submissive, enabler, and steals from his partner.
I couldn't get into a book with such horrendous characters. Neither character are redeemable and it's cringe inducing.
However, the author isn't known for great characters with good personalities.
Then there are the usual grammatical errors, and the continuity leaves a lot to be desired, but that's the norm for this author.
Overall, I found the story cringe worthy for all the wrong reasons.

This book was so ridiculous. I love OTT tropes, alpha MCs, and damsels in distress, but when you write selfish characters who are just stupid, I'm out.
Caleb worked his entire life to save money to make a future with Shana, she runs away to NY to become a singer, she needs money so she auctions herself off, he finds out and go to save her, she tells him to leave and enters auction anyway.
He bids his life savings and steals from his boss to win her in the auction. There I save you from this horrible book.

Best friends find love OTT style in Auctioned to my Best Friend. Main character Shana is a stubborn as all get out, impulsive, clueless 21 year old who makes a rash decision, and her best friend for life Caleb has to rescue her—again—in a daring and drastic way. Cassi Hart really builds the suspense and runs the angst high in this one—and it’s so perfectly frustratingly hot. Alpha hero to the rescue is one of my favorites, and Cassi Hart does it flawlessly!
