I felt every emotional that's humanly possible to feel while reading this book. I can not begin to express how amazing and perfect this book was. I've always said on my stories and to iris herself that she's my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE AUTHOR.

The story was so unique and amazing, the multiple plots had my jaw on the floor EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You know the book is good when you feel anger and irritation towards the characters or over something they did. This book was THAT for me.

I am trying my best to keep this review spoiler free, but the tension between aira and lex is unmatched!!! Lex's little mental notes and the way he notices every little thing about her, from her mood to her eating style and about what she likes to eat when she is in a particular mood is so so admirable. Aira is her own person, just her unhinged, nervous, anxious, sometimes boss lady self, and all I gotta say is READ THE BOOK RIGHT NOW.

I love Lex and Aira with all my heart. Aira felt like a reflection of my silly and goofy self that am too insecure to show others, but reading about a fictional character that's does the exact same things that I wish to but can't because am afraid of being judged.

okay !! so let's start with the grumpy nature of MMC i really adore him like he is grumpy for others but a softie for his family !! Lex Hudson have my heart 🤭 every damn line from his hit me hard !!

Talking about Aira she really give a sunshine girl vibes.... she smile in every damn situation :))

i really love the books where the MMC is grumpy for the whole world but a softie and sweetie only for the FMC !!

the jealousy , angst , possesive nature of MMC have my jaw dropped on floor 🔪🔥 he was so damn good !!

tbh, after a very long time i got such a good book with my favorite tropes :)

if you are a fan of enemies to lovers do yourself a favour and read this book :)) 🥺🥳🦋

I don’t know what’s gotten into me lately, but so many romance stories give me the ick. This is sadly one of them.

Let me just start by saying that the beginning of the story seemed interesting.
The fmc was promised a business deal with some guy in Australia. Fmc and mc bumped into one another at the airport and started bantering. Unknowing that soon they had to start working and living together.
So far so good, right? - Well, this spirit quickly vanished as we got to know the characters more.

I knew that I was getting myself into a grumpy X sunshine romance, but what I didn’t know was how incredibly suffocating this mc would be.
He literally insults the fmc without further reasoning and he always seems to be on edge. Don’t get me started on his occasional angry outbursts. Of course, I get it, he is supposed to be a bit grumpy.
But you cannot simply blame obnoxiously mean behavior on being a grump- that is not called being grumpy, it’s simply called being a jerk.

Moreover, I didn’t really like this portrayal of women simping over taken man and starting wars with their partners.
I am just gonna give you a quick breakdown so you know what I am talking about: our fmc was -finally- in a relationship with this joke of a man (the mc in case you couldn’t tell😋) and suddenly this client, with whom the mc had a one night stand, randomly shows up to be unnecessarily mean to the fmc. In the end, the fmc and miss girl get into an argument and girly STABS the fmc in the stomach. What am I supposed to think of this???
Like, woohoo, go off, queen… 🤡
These are grown up women and they are behaving like teenagers in a bad Highschool drama…?
In general, the fmc was pretty forgettable. I don’t really know if she had any sort of personality other than liking pastries? Don’t get me wrong; I love pastries and I am the last person to turn them down. But this is literally the only thing we know about the woman and what she likes. Seems a bit off, don’t you think?

Both, the dude and her, just lacked something. I simply wish their characters were more developed. 🫣

There is more which I disliked, but I think this will do to give a simple impression of what this mess is.💀

Enemies to lovers have always been my favorite trope and this book does complete justice to that.


It's so well-written that while reading it I experienced different emotions throughout.
Their bickerings made me laugh,their traumas and fights made my cry. The love I have for both of them is something so special.
I was hooked to the story from the first to the last chapter. It was as if I never wanted to put it down.

I find it so endearing when I feel connected to a character in the book and for me ,Aira was that. She felt so real to me. She is a genuine soul who cannot stand violence at all. Even after dealing with unfortunate incidents in the past,the glow of her nature and personality doesn't fade away at all. She is clumsy at times which makes her character more stand out as for me,while reading I love to a female character who has her flaws and she is still the charm of the room and that is what Aira is.

Perfectionist, professional, workaholic businessman are the words I associate with Lex. He just doesn't know how to control his anger.He has faced taunts from people and lost his parents at a very young age which has made him into the cold hearted person he is today.But he has his own reasons for that which were understandable throughout the story.

Lex never smiles or likes people smiling but it's only till Aira came into his life. They hate each other's presence since the moment they met but there is a magnetic force that drives them closer even when they try to stay away.

She annoys her,but still his heart races for her everytime they come close to one another.

He pisses her off,but still he's the one she finds comforts in everytime she's in danger.

This book is something you shouldn't wait for another second and start reading right away. You'll definitely fall in love with Lex and Aira's journey.
The angst,the chemistry,the spice and the character development are just so appropriate that the whole setting hits so much.

Lex Hudson, Is your typical ruthless, arrogant, cold and rude fictional boyfriend. And as I read more into the story, he has a soft spot just for her, I mean which guy would walk up to someone and say 'don't you dare speak her name from your mouth' if they didn't like them? but as usual he denies it. He is possesive of his things obviously, and won't rest until he gets whats his. His strong love for her always remains that way till the end, and I just loved that.

Aria Perrier, Her sunshine vibe is litrally amazing, I love her smiles so much. Her stuborness and strong nature is what I loved too. At some point I just wish she could trust the others around her and get the truth rather than believing her friend blindly. She is cheerful, with a hint of sass but her attempt to make his icy cold demeanor slip off was a sight to behold. I adored her hardworking and kind nature, always there for others. I loved her drunk scenes alot haha, she was just so adorable!

I loved the jealousy, angst, and The character devolopment. I loved the slowburn in this book, and Please the way everyone is so intrested in messing up their life, sorry Lex,I wanted to remove them too haha 🤣

but overall, Their story is incredible, because despite their rocky relationship, lex always made sure to care for her, and cherish her, protect her when she definitely did not know he protected her from the start behind her back, how he always went after what was his, I loved it. The love he has for her is unmatched, and truly seeing them emerge together in the very end was an incredible end to the story.

If you love enemies to lovers, Go for this book, because it truly is to the point and trust me I read it in one setting! So you know it was good, I couldn't put it down 💘😍

Ok, so, let's first talk about the MMC that is LEX HUDSON. He was very arrogant and rude and disrespectful to Aira for so long that I really wished she'd just slap him, and my my that she did🤣 Author really read our minds. But the way he showed his love to Aira and his *dirty talks* ahem, ahem, ahem.....I just can't. (I need a man like this in my life asap🙂💋)

Secondly, the MFC is quite strong and too stubborn. She's so cute, and forgiving and always eating pastries like her life depends on it. She's handful but the fact that she blindly trusted her friend after repeated warnings is so frustrating and at one point I really wanted her to get hurt and find out about that bitch without Lex helping her out.And her drunk moments🤭 she's so cute that sometimes I really wished for her to be drunk and act all cute and sweet.😂💋

So, the plot at first progressed kind of in a slow way and it was always either they were arguing or they were just not talking with each other. But after the party, the plot started to flow and man, I was hooked. There's always someone trying to fuck up their peace by being in their life that's not needed (LEX, trust me I wanted to kill them myself for ruining yours and yours wife's moments🤣)

But the climax....!🙂 That one, was so , it was so hurtful and painful. I think that part is something that I never predicted. Like it was so cruel and now that was not okay at all. 💔 But author restored my mood with the epilogue and that put a smile on my face that my sister asked *hey, why are you smiling?🤭*

Overall, I really enjoyed the story.

I just finished reading this incredible book, and I'm bursting with emotions. The main characters were so well developed that I couldn't help but love them deeply. What really got me hooked were the intricate plots and the side characters, each adding depth and richness to the story. The fact that the book featured my favorite trope, enemies to lovers, made it all the more captivating. The roller coaster of emotions throughout the narrative kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't help but feel a profound sadness for what happened to Aira. The main character's emotional journey was both heart wrenching and heartwarming; their unwavering support for each other during tough times and the way they stayed close, proving their commitment, left me in awe. The tension build up in the story was evident, especially with their undeniable attraction and the struggle to stay apart. Even when circumstances forced them to be apart for two months, their thoughts were consumed by each other, making their eventual reunion even more intense. I'm still reeling from the emotions, and this book has undoubtedly earned a special place in my heart.

This was the first book i read by this author and i must say I AM IN LOVE WITH HER, the way she portrayed the enemies to lovers trope and the chemistry between the main characters was just CHEFS KISS 🤌🏼💋

My advice to everyone would be to RUN 🏃‍♀️ to get this book when it releases because ITS AMAZING 💗✨

I'm so glad to receive an ARC copy. Thank you, Iris, because I'm in love with this book!
The rollercoaster ride I felt while reading was truly amazing. It's filled with chaos and passion. The way I laughed, felt emotional, got goosebumps and me blushing...this was too good, actually. I just love it and hate it at the same time because the great story ended.

Lex and Aira are so chaotic together haha. Sometimes I couldn't stop laughing, and sometimes I wanted to kill the MMC so badly. It was just that the FMC was being too stubborn, which made me mad a lot. But their fights, understanding, and their development were everything. The change of the MMC going from heartless to 'die for you' was real. I loved the after-wedding scenes. They were literally too good. The plot twist really caught me off guard. I wasn't really expecting that, but it was understandable from the MMC's point of view. The sadness in and the happy ending both made me cry. But honestly, it was worth it!

The fact that Noah caught my attention. His character was so polite and good. I really wished to know more about his story. (PS. I liked that he wasn't the villain type, but still. 😉)

Why You? by IRIS A in a simple words is enemies to love work place romance novel. You name the trope you get it workplace romance✅ Enemies to Lover ✅ Grumpy X Sunshine ✅ Marriage of Convenience ✅ Slow burn✅ the story of lex and Aira took me to a rollercoaster of emotions. I laughed, cried, blushed n sometimes wanted to punch the MMC so badly n on the other hand I wanted to hug him n cry my eyes out all throughout the story. The snowman scene is my fav of all n I loved how lex turned from grumpy to totally sunshine towards the end 🤭🙈 You know you are gonna enjoy the book when you feel the same emotions as the character . Sometimes Aira may felt too childish but her silly n goofy behavior add a comical hint to the story n as a result it forms a perfect contrast of grumpy and sunshine couple. The only things that didn't set right with me was something the story seems moving too fast n the writing can also use some improvement. Overall if you are looking for something unique with multiple trops then " Why You?" is the perfect book for you 💞💫

Lex and Aira, let me tell you, if you love toxic love, well, this is your kind of book. These two really understood their sentiments.

Aira just starts working with Lex due to some random events. At first, they approach each other with so much fire that someone can evoke. Lex, this cold man who only has a heart for his family and none else, would compromise his feelings toward Aira. At first, he is not going to understand them—why Aira, this silly girl who always seems kind to others but not to him.

Both of them are going to be a storm of feelings, contradictions, and passion that, at some point, is going to explode because how could Aira fall for this kind of man, Lex? And these new emotions to Lex allow him to now be able to show his true self to her.

Be ready for a story filled with passion and chaos.

As a reader, I need to say that this book is not my taste, BUT... if you love a toxic couple, you are going to enjoy it 🖤

Terrible. I was hoping it would get better going forward, but it only got worse.
The plot is boring, purposeless and insubstantial. The timeline is just 😫, the transition from one event to another is done totally at random.
The conversations between the characters are just plain stupid.
I really love a Grumpy MMC and from experience I can say that Lex IS NOT grumpy just pure toxic, a jerk even with his family.
Not to mention that Aira is just a dumbass who doesn't want to listen to other's opinions and thinks she's always right. And is it that hard to admit that you have feelings for the man? As I was saying, she's dumb.
Enemies to Lovers? They should've remained enemies, they were so toxic together and there was no chemistry between them.
I regret not DNFing it and I refuse to rate it.

This book was a perfect mixture of humour darkness and spice. The spice of the book is really hot . The beginning got me and I was loving where the storyline was going . The mid part was also good if we talk about the content. The characters are amazing . But I was a bit disappointed with what twist came in the last part. I was totally not expecting something like this . But overall speaking I enjoyed reading this book . If you want some spice filled workplace romance then this book is for you .
