One day separation (He wants her to come with him, but she spends the day with her camping group regretting not going with Flint, but Flint exchanged numbers and showed her where his cabin is and the next evening, she hurries to him. So not a long separation, just the day after they meet and he spent the night guarding her in her tent protecting her.)
HEA
This is a short, sweet, easy to read story of true love between soul mates. Flint (27 years old, mountain rescue, retired from Air Force), hears a woman screaming backing away from her tent, and a man comes out of it. He runs to her to protect her, and scents her and it is love at first sight (or sniff). He finally found his mate!! He stays the night with her to protect her (just sleeping) and thinks with his wolf how to keep her.
Meanwhile our sweet but scared Sophie (23, accountant), hates this camping trip and realizes when her step dad opened the tent to creep in, that all the innapropriate comments from before cemented her fear of his intentions towards her. He wants an inappropriate relationship with her and she is disgusted with him, and hurt that her mother thinks she is lying, so she sneaks to go to Flint.
It was love at first sight and they admit to one another as well that they fell in love the moment they first saw each other (that is later in the story, but they said it in their inner monologue). I love that, insta love is my thing, because when we feel a deep connection between our couple, like Flint and Sophie, then the sex and the rest of their relationship is enhanced because we believe it is consumed with a love that is already there and well established. Yes, it is quick, and yes they never even had a physical connection, but when they both admit in their inner monologue that they are in love, and it comes before their first physical interaction, it makes it so much more erotic, passionate and heartfelt.
I like that Sophie also never looked at a guy, never took interest, never even thought of masturbating, until she felt the flood of feelings of love and lust for her one and only!! It shows me that she didn't feel it for anyone before Flint for a good reason, she was waiting for her soul mate. She took the news of shifters, fated mates and everything quite well, and I am so happy Flint found his girl, he made me so sad when he would ache to find his mate in the last book. I fell for him before reading his story, and Luna Wilder really delivered. She gave us a sweet heroine and her gentle giant, both deserve the love the other gives them.
We have some drama with the step father, but Flint is there to protect his mate, and I loved the little banter and quips he and his wolf have. Flint's wolf has some sass! I would not complain if in future, we have more interactions and funny/witty banter between our hero and his shifter animal.
I will always sing my praises to Luna Wilder, because I can trust that she will always give us true fated mate stories, and Flint summed it up the best,

around, we don’t even look at the other sex. No one but our fated mate.”
“Okay. Sounds kind of romantic.”
*sigh swoon* Yes it is romantic! It is EXACTLY how ALL fated mate stories SHOULD be and I am so happy Luna Wilder respects and writes the fated mate trope with reverence, it really is just soul mates waiting to find their one true love and never looking at another, neither feel their sexual and romantic awakening until they meet. It is a tale as long as time immemorial and stays strong and true for a reason! Luna Wilder gives us just that (all her books are safe DV fated mates) and I sound like a broken record I know, but I don't care. As long as she gives us safe, no OW/OM, dual virgins, one true love stories, I will voraciously read them!
I loved it, I recommend it and I cannot wait for our next couple, Alec and his mate Morgan! This made me want to reread some of her first romance shifter books, and I think a "Luna Wilder: One True Love Reading Day" sounds pretty good with a hot cup of tea!

💡 IMPORTANTE: Es un romance paranormal con hombres lobo.

📢 La historia es extremadamente corta. En su momento, me pareció que todo pasaba demasiado rápido y que no había suficiente desarrollo. Muchos temas se meten en apenas 60 páginas.

💜 Lo que me gustó
✔ El final. Me encantó la frase "Estamos embarazados." Fue un momento lindo y tierno porque demuestra que están juntos en esto.
✔ Si lo lees con la mentalidad correcta, puede ser una lectura entretenida.

💔 Lo que no me gustó
❌ Demasiado corto para generar una conexión real con los personajes.
❌ El romance es apresurado. No pasa ni una hora desde que él la rescata y ya están enamorados.
❌ La traducción al español puede ser incómoda. No sé si en inglés la llaman mate o companion, pero si en español le dicen "compañera", me muero. No me gusta para nada ese término.

💜 Veredicto final
Le puse 2 estrellas cuando lo leí en septiembre, pero ahora, en marzo, cambio mi calificación a 3 estrellas.

💡 Si sabes que es una historia corta, puede gustarte. Si esperas algo profundo, te va a decepcionar.

📢 This book is the fifth in a series.

💜 What’s it about?
Sonia never wanted to visit Alaska. To her, it was just a cold, empty wasteland.
But when her stepfather, a disgusting man, arranges a trip to a remote part of Alaska for her eighteenth birthday, her life changes completely.

🔹 Her family is awful.
🔹 Her stepfather is creepy and repulsive.
🔹 The male lead rescues her, and in less than an hour, she’s already in love.

💡 IMPORTANT: This is a paranormal romance with werewolves.

📢 The story is extremely short. At first, I felt like everything happened way too fast, and there wasn’t enough development. Too many themes crammed into just 60 pages.

💜 What I liked
✔ The ending. I loved the phrase "We’re pregnant." It was sweet and touching because it showed that they were in this together.
✔ If you go in with the right mindset, it can be a fun, quick read.

💔 What I didn’t like
❌ Too short to create a real connection with the characters.
❌ The romance is rushed. Less than an hour after he rescues her, she’s already in love.
❌ The Spanish translation might be awkward. I don’t know if they use mate or companion in English, but if they translated it as "compañera," I’d cringe so hard. I really dislike that term.

💜 Final verdict
I originally gave it 2 stars in September, but now, in March, I’m bumping it up to 3 stars.

💡 If you know it’s a short story, you might enjoy it. If you’re expecting depth, you’ll be disappointed.

📢 I recommend it only if you’re looking for a light, quick read.

Part of the Aspen Ridge Pack Mountain Rescue series each with a shifter and the one they rescued. Sophie is sweet trying to bond with her mother, her new stepfather but he is a creep deciding to go on a camping trip with them her stepfather has been flirting with her the last straw is when he comes into her tent at night with a claim, he thought it was his and that sends her into a panic especially when he tries her. Flint sexy as all get out wolf shifter working with the Aspen Ridge Rescue team while out on patrol one evening, he hears a women scream of course he goes to make sure everything is okay getting there he realizes she is his fated mate and he will do what it takes to save his girl. Getting her away from that creep into safety of his cabin where they get to know each other the magnetic pull can’t be ignored no matter how hard they try but when danger comes for her will he protect her, will she accept all of him, will her stepfather get what he deserves (nasty creep), and has she found her happiness with the wolf shifter?

Sophie (h23) reluctantly goes on a camping trip in Alaska with her mom and her stepfather, Roger, who has recently started flirting with her. While camping, Sophie is disturbed by Roger's creepy behavior, especially when he enters her tent at night, claiming he mistook it for his own. Mountain patrol officer and wolf shifter Flint (H) comes to the rescue when he hears Sophie's screams, protecting the woman he immediately realizes as his mate. Sophie and Flint quickly bond, and he offers her a safe place to stay in his cabin. Despite the challenges, their connection deepens, and Flint eventually reveals his shifter identity to Sophie, explaining that they are destined to be together as fated mates. But Flint soon find he'll have to step up and protect what's his when Sophie is in danger. Hot and steamy wolf shifter fated mates quickeis with a side of angst and danger.

This is book number 5 of the Aspen Ridge Pack: Mountain Rescue series and focuses on Flint and Sophie. Flint is a wolf shifter who works with the Aspen Ridge Rescue team. While he is out on patrol on the mountain, he hears a woman screaming so he goes towards her. When he arrives at the woman that screamed, it doesn’t take him any time at all to realize that he had finally found his fated mate in Sophie. Sophie was on an Alaskan trip with her mom and her stepdad when the trip went sideways. Thankfully, Flint was there for Sophie multiple times when she needed him. She immediately felt safe with flint and knew that there was something special about him. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Sophie stepfather booked them a hiking trip in Alaska for her 23rd birthday she had told her mother what he was doing, but wasn’t believed. So one night her stepfather got in her tent, Flint her scream when he was cleaning up a trail so he went running to see what was happening. Flint got there before anything happened and made the stepfather leave her tent, but gave Sophie his cell number and pointed in the direction where he lived if she needed to get away. She felt uneasy, so she started walking to Flint’s house her stepfather caught up with her, but Flint showed up in time. Her mother disowned her for her lies. Good book!.

Sophie (23) meets Flint who is a Wolf Shifter, Sophie is Human and doesn’t know about shifters . He hears her scream when her stepdad goes into her tent and starts touching her shoulders while she is sleeping, her mum calls her dramatic and said he probably just got into the wrong one which is impossible since Sophie’s is smaller and a different colour.

Next day she goes out on a Hike, Flint said he can go with but she rejects his offer and then regrets it when it is happening.

Her step dad tries to SA her but she runs and Flint rescues her again

Sophie had a terrible childhood with dad dying when she was 4 and her mother had many boyfriends over the years. Roger is Sophie's stepfather, and he acts creepy around her since she came home after college graduation. He gave her a family hiking trip in Alaska. When Roger enters her tent, she screams, and Flint hears her while on patrol. He recognizes that she is his fated mate. How is he going to protect her from Roger? Will he explain to Sophie about being a wolf-shifter and her being his fated mate? Will she want to stay with him?.

I loved Rescued By The Wolf Book 5 of Aspen Ridge Pack: Mountain Rescue. Sophie knows something is wrong on this trip, her stepdad has been weird lately. Flint didn’t think when he responded to a woman’s scream she would be his mate, but here he is keeping Sophie safe and trying to figure out how to tell her he’s a wolf and she’s his fated mate. Oh, and keep her safe from danger she never expected. I loved the storyline and the characters. A short and sweet fated mates story with a little drama. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Sophie and Flint's story is a fast read that has moments that will break your heart and others that tug at it. Sophie is on vacation with her mom and step dad, who is giving off uncomfortable vibes. When she tries to talk to her mom, instead of listening, her mom brushes her off.

Flint woks for the mountain rescue, who was headed home with he heard someone needing help. When he sees Sophie, his wolf automatically knew she was his mate and could since something was off with her stepdad.

This fast and intense read pulls you in that fast and leaves you wanting more.

It Sophie feels safe with Flint and when he co es to her rescue once again she stays with him. But will she stay when she finds out he’s a wolf shifter. This is a quick read, fast paced and steamy, well written with great characters. I enjoyed it very much.

They meet in the wild mountains of the Alaskan Forrest. Their story is one of Fated Mates, saving from a bad man and discovering their own family.
A sweet, fairly quick read that leaves you with a warm afterglow. 🥰👍🏻.

Flint is the one I have been the most excited to read about.

Sophie (h) and Flint (H) first meet when he rescues her from her stepfather at their camp. Sophie knows nothing about shifters and Flint realizes right away that she is his one true fated mate.

Short and swoony read

I enjoyed this short instalove fated mates romance. Flint is a wolf shifter who’s former military and now works for Mountain Rescue in Alaska. On a birthday hiking and camping trip to Alaska with her mom and new stepdad, Sophie is rescued by Flint when her stepdad enters her tent uninvited. Flint immediately recognizes her as his mate. Despite being short, the story was fairly well written and included characters with some dimension and a fairly engaging storyline.

Sophie, her mom, and creepy step dad came to Alaska to go camping. As soon as Fling seen Sophie he knew she was his mate. Flint was so protective over Sophie. This was a good fast read. This is book 5 of the series and I'm loving it. The book was a novella but had everything a good story needs! There was drama, fated mates, A sweet and curvy FMC and a obsessed MMC..
When you find your one, life is supposed to be good and your supposed to be happy but unfortunately for Flint and Sophie, their love story wasn't so easy. She's scared and he's promised to protect her always..will he be able to keep his promise or will the enemy win?

Sophie is on vacation in Alaska with her mother and stepfather when things take a dangerous and creepy turn Flint comes to her rescue. Flint is a wolf shifter and part of the Aspen Ridge Mountain Patrol. From the moment he sees Sophie he instantly knows she is his fated mate. This is a fast paced, fated mates, shifter romance, and a great addition to the series. The writing is well done, the characters are likable and the ending is perfect. A Hero in the Making!

Flint came to Sophie’s rescue and recognized his mate, his first task was to save her and his second was to convince her to stay with him and be his mate.

I'm glad Flint finally got his turn. I've liked the bits of him we've seen in the other books (though it's necessary to have read them before this one). Not only does he seem like a good guy, but his wolf is pretty amusing. I like Sophie, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders and isn't too freaked out. And their chemistry and romance is really sweet.

This was a great book. I really enjoyed Flink and Sophie. These two are drawn as soon as Flint rescursed Sophie from her creepy step-father. These two fall hard and fast with the help of Fate but drama is still around. Flint will do anything to protect his mate and get their HEA.
