The Oasis PrisonSouls of Salutis Book 1
"I'd much rather bear the pain of a conscience than live like I don't have one."

On a planet recovering from its own Armageddon, Aaron Avius is graduating at the top of his class in the military academy of Oasis.
He wasn't born in Oasis. Not very many people in it like him, save for a few close friends. He doesn't know why they're at war with their neighbors while their dying planet threatens them all. But he does have a few reasons to fight.
He's never seen the sky, and the war is above ground. That's something. He's never had magic and has rarely seen it, and the military offers the only way to get it. A pretty good reason. And the only people who have ever shown him any kindness are the few in his squad. He'll fight for them to his last breath.

The Oasis Prison is the first in a series of books to be made in a completely fresh fantasy universe, 13 years in the making. A unique magic system and nebulous pantheon of deities set the stage for a long and bloody history across two planets, a history poised to buck the present should anyone lose the reins.

"The Oasis Prison" by Pierce Woodward is undeniably a beloved project and fascinating tale. Its unique characters, civilizations, creatures, and planet life were so wonderfully crafted to create a new, fresh world. The details and writing style really made me feel like I was a part of this imaginary planet that held so much depth and lore. I liked the four main characters, the SOS squad, a lot! Aaron, Dante, Chelsea, and Andrea were each so wonderful in their own ways with their own sets of strengths and weaknesses. The banter, personalities, and sarcasm made me smile and laugh along as I read, and I always enjoy a book that makes me laugh! Even with a great deal of lighthearted moments, there were also several instances of deeper, darker parts. Gotta love the balance! All in all, this book had world-building, comradery, political drama, battles, death, humor, and some epic quotes! If you want to get lost in an exciting new world, I'd certainly give this book a shot.
