“Bad girls get punished. Are you ready, tiny tigress?”
-Deck

On the verge of my first heat and desperate to protect my sister from the brutality of men, I fly into an omega rage when raiders attack my family’s fishing boat. When The Liner, the biggest, cruelest alpha I’ve ever seen, arrives with his crew and rescues my sister, only to threaten to hurt her if I don’t go with him, there’s only one thing I can do.
Except, he doesn’t just want my obedience.
He wants my submission.
He wants to claim me.
Break me.

Own me.

Light on plot, heavy on spice, dive into this ‘quick read’ dark dystopian human omegaverse romance knowing you’ll find triggering content, including a possessive alpha, a reluctant omega, and a delicious battle of wills that ends in Happily Ever After.

4.5 stars!

What a ride! Omega Bette is found and captured by Alpha Deck despite her giving it her all to get away from him.

”Fight me all you want—you’re mine no matter what, and I’ll enjoy the challenge…”

Deck has found his Omega and he will do anything to make Bette his. And she’ll love it…

”Good girl,” my alpha murmurs into my hair. “You swallowed my cock so well, tiny tigress.”

The third book in the Knottiverse: Alphas of the Waterworld series, Laid by the Liner was full of violence, grit, sexy Omegaverse steam, a sprinkling of sweet and a cute HEA. Slightly formulaic but totally addicting!

I loved Bette’s fight and resilience. She gave as good as she got and I really enjoyed that fierceness. Deck was all alpha, completely dominating and commanding but had a gooey center for Bette. I just love that kind of dynamic. Bette and Deck were a great new Alpha/Omega couple in this series.

”The largest, most dominant male in the world owns my soul now. And I own his. My mate. My ocean liner captain. My Deck.”

V.T. does quick and dirty Omegaverse so well and I am loving this world and all its characters.

I think Bette and Deck are my favorite pair so far in the series! I loved 🥰 Deck, and Bette! Bette goes into feral omega mode when their ship is attacked by raiders and her sister is threatened, all she sees is red. Then Deck to the rescue and to tame his crazed omega, who tries to challenge him, but he’s so patient yet stern with her.

As V.T. Bonds says, this series is light on plot and heavy on spice.
She encourages you to dive into this ‘quick read’ dark dystopian human omegaverse romance knowing you’ll find triggering content, including a possessive alpha, a reluctant omega, and a delicious battle of wills that ends in Happily Ever After.
And so far, each story is exactly that, light on plot and very heavy on spice.
Nothing deep, but very entertaining, and most arousing.

Another good short story within the knottiverse. These feel like an introduction to the main characters of a bigger story yet to be told, as the author has you hooked an leaves you wanting more.

This short has me hooked. I started 3rd book deep, now I need the others, and with that intro into book 4 at the end of this one- it's an insta buy for me. It's a fantastic and delicious quick fix that gets straight to the juicy bits with just the right amount of plot to set you up for the excitement. 😘👌🏽

This is book #3 in the Waterworld omegaverse series by V.T. Bonds and it might be my favorite one yet. Is there such a thing as a Cinnamon Roll Omegaverse Alpha?? If so, then Deck is the epitome of that trope. Yum-yum-yum! V.T. is the expert at ramping up the heat between the H and h. And she is also expert at contriving a gripping and unique plot, even when writing a quickie like this. I’m really enjoying this series! I was given the opportunity to read an early copy of Laid by the Liner, and this is my honest, freely-given opinion.

This was a very short but very steamy omegaverse romance with a return to what alphas should be like 😍 Yes this book has dub con in it but the author handles it in the right way.

Bette is on her family's fishing boat when they are attacked by raiders. When the alpha goes after her younger sister Hera, Bette flies into a an omega rage and damn, but she is a fierce and dangerous little psycho and I am here for it. Alpha Deck followed a lead and comes upon the scene of the fight and walks in literally snapping necks. He takes Bette, and her remaining family back to his floating city.

Alpha Deck is big and dangerous and rules his territory with pure violent efficiency but he has a sweeter side too. It's adorable when he purrs for Bette, especially when it stops her from attacking him. Since she is still fighting him when he brings her to his private chambers, he drags them both fully clothed into the shower and proceeds to clean her, touching her everywhere along the way 😍 I love how he respects her fighting spirit and calls her his Tiny Tigress.

He feeds her and touches her, leading into some smexy scenes to get her heat into full swing so that she is ready for him. He takes what he wants from Bette but he also cares for her, pampers her, and does what is truly best for her even if she fights him at first out of fear. Deck really does control his alpha urges and refuses to hurt her or mate her fully before she is ready. Their intimate scenes are super spicy 🥵 he is an alpha so of course he is rough, dominating, and demanding but he never hurts her and cares deeply about her pleasure, safety and happiness.

When the time arrives, Deck spoiles her in nesting materials and it is adorable, he just wants her to be pleased.

"I spent years accumulating every soft, fluffy thing I could find, believing I’d capture an omega someday. Now that she’s here, I have no regrets. All the resources and time spent searching were worth it." Deck

After a few days of very spicy activity and claiming bites, their bond is securely in place and her heat breaks. Deck can understand her emotionally through their connection and he can feel her sorrow thinking that her family is being abused and he can't stand it. Deck takes her out of their nest and to another room where he shows her that he is caring for and protecting her whole family. While talking to her family, her grandmother tells her to look after the baby she is carrying and Bette is shocked, while Deck already scented the changes. They return to his private area and they climb back into their nest for more smexy time as it will help her survive carrying his baby and help the pregnancy develop... Hot 😍

I definitely recommend this spicy little novella and will be reading it again multiple times and cannot wait to read the other stories in the series ❤️

Bette and her family are overtaken by Deck, an Alpha that has been searching for his Omega
Who would have thought that when her grandfather had left the family to retrieve herbs that would help to mask her heat, they are an important aid but they are going to be used to locate her and to harm her family.
Deck is able to see that the small fishing ship has been surrounded and they are being attacked by lesser Alpha and Betas, they are attacking her and her family and he watches in amazement as his mate becomes overtaken by an Omega Rage.
In her rage she is an unbelievable vision of deadly efficiency as she takes out one attacker after another as they threaten her younger sister Hera, Deck knows that he has to get to her before she is injured by the attackers.
When he has her in his arms his Little Tiger has the nerve to growl at him and he
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all their wonderful writing.

Laid by the Liner is the third installment in VT Bonds Waterworld series. This series is heavy on the smut and focuses on a post apocalyptic world ruled by alphas who will stop at nothing to find an omega.

Book three is the turn of Deck. He saves Bette from marauders who have overtaken her family's small fishing boat. He is typically domineering and manipulative and uses her family as a means of persuading her to leave with him. Little does Bette know, but her alpha is surprisingly cinnamon roll behind sealed doors. Deck wouldn't dream of harming her. Although he does wish to break her and secure her dependence on him.

I really loves this world of quick read alphas and their knots. Each book delivers a stolen omega (usually feisty!), a claiming, a knotting and an alpha giving their omega an opportunity to nest amid this tough world of watery survival. Deck and Bette deliver a gripping quick read with a HEA.

Once again I was so excited to #arcread a novella from the #knottiverse of @v.t.bonds ! I'm such a sucker for these short stories! This is a quick read that is simultaneously dark and adventurous. The gist is that in this dystopian future, our heroine, Bette, is a rare Omega that is caught by an Alpha, Deck, and forced to go with him in order to save her sister. Cue her first heat and we go from there! While I would love a longer story, I'm glad that these are short, as you get all your favorite tropes very quickly! I do think my favorite was book 2 of this series, but it's quickly becoming a favorite series overall for me. The only other thing I would say is that I wish there was a little more talking between our MCs but I get that these are all mostly action since they are so short. Highly recommend!

Tropes

📖 Enemies to Lovers
📖 Dark Omegaverse
📖 Forced Proximity
📖 Feisty Heroine
📖 Possessive Alpha
📖 Etc.

Another addition to the Knottiverse. This story is quick read with a dystopian feel, some smutty goodness, and just enough depth to make you love the characters. Bette is an omega that is trying her best to take care of/ help her family with what she has available. Considering the circumstances and that omegas are a hard thing to come by in their world, she's something rare. Especially when Deck happens to find her. There's not a magical fantastic courting that happens in the story, but they are drawn to each other instantly, and Deck knows that he will do whatever he can to protect and provide for Bette.

For a novella that is spicy, this is worth the look.

The third instalment of the Alphas of the Waterworld was probably my favourite. Short but sweet.

Bette and Deck are both bad asses in this book. Bette lived with her found family alongside her biological sister and has fight in her and she shows it. Deck is the Alpha of a liner, he has crafted his ship to survive and thrive in the post apocalyptic world, gathering the best, even items for his yet to be found omega and then he finds her.
Bette and Deck meet when pirates attack Bette "home" and Deck and his crew find Bette fighting brutally to save her family. Deck of course takes charge and takes his omega.

Bette has spirit and fight, which only makes Deck want her more but can the omega really fight the want and need of an Alpha who has soft blankets waiting for her? This book is "sweeter" than the first two and ends in a HEA. Really enjoyed it.

Just when I thought these books couldn’t get any better, VT Bonds knocks it out of the park with this one!!!! Deck is the perfect blend of alpha dominance and sweet passion. Despite all his bluster, he just wants to care for his little omega. And Bette is not a weak female, she is strong, savage and fierce. But Deck makes her submit so beautifully. Well eventually. Bette tries to keep her defiance but we all know she’s fighting a losing battle. These alphas always get what they want.

Gosh. His line of “Bad girls get punished. Are you ready, tiny tigress?” literally had me melting into a puddle on my couch. He is so sexy and his dirty talk is top tier!

All in all, here is another one of VT Bonds’ books that I can recommend with zero hesitation. These novellas are short with fast burning spice and I have enjoyed every single one of them! I can’t wait for what she comes out with next!

Loved this third book in the series.

Bette is on a small fishing boat with her sister and family in the middle of the ocean.
When they are boarded by radiers.Bette sees red when one of the raiders has her sister and goes into omega rage.

Deck is alpha who owns the liner ship and comes to her rescue and find his omega.who he makes tiny tigeress
But the only way deck get Bette to follow is to threaten her sister if she doesn't agree to b No is and go willing.

I love this book how deck does not want to claim her But care/love and protect her.
Enjoyable read short with dominant alpha and feisty omega with spicy scenes and hea

Can't wait to read next book in the series. There is a preview of the next book at the end.
Absolutely love the series so far.

Another banger from the Knottiverse. Intense, hawt, heart pounding.

The Knottiverse isn’t a lighthearted place. If I could read side-eyed I’d think about it - but probably wouldn’t, because what if I missed something? As part of the Alpha’s of the Waterworld, this story landed a bit darker for me. Not as dark as the Halloween Knottiverse books, but this story had a harder edge, I felt. Reading ahead to the next book, I feel like as the series continues they increase in intensity. And I’m absolutely here for it.

I feel I’m constantly waiting for more, from this author, in this ‘Verse. I need to figure out how to pace myself better, if anyone has any tips… But, I’m not going to hold my breath… I’ve met me.

Laid by the Liner - Tiny Tiger

‘I’ll always miss the years I spent with my family. Times weren’t easy, but I relied on and cared for each person. They’ll forever hold special places in my heart, but now most of it belongs to this alpha. The largest, most dominant male in the world owns my soul now. And I own his. My mate. My ocean liner captain. My alpha. My Deck.’

V.T. Bonds adds another heart-wrenching novella to the Dark and Steamy romance in the Knottiverse: Alphas of the Waterworld.

Omega Bette finds herself captured and mated to the ultimate Alpha.

Bonds creates the dynamic that leaves readers feeling fear, then lust, and finally acceptance in a terrifying time, where life is extreme!

This is the first book in the series that I've read and I have to say that the author did a fab job grabbing my attention and holding it until I hit the end ;) Omega, Bette, is so fierce in the protection of her family. I loved it! Alpha Deck, saves her and her family from the bandits, but his price is her. I love that we get both POVs. I don't read stories that are too dark, and I'll fess-up I was worried about this one, but yeah, the author had my back by giving me his thoughts. I loved how devoted he was to her and that he didn't want to crush her spirit. Bette found a soul match with Deck and gets to look to a fab future with him. Now I have to go back and read the prior books so I'm caught up for the next one to come out ;D Good fun!

Love, love, love how V.T. Bonds wrote this little gem! Laid by the Liner is the third book in this new series by the author and it was great and spicy little read. Omega Bette's family shipped was attacked and Alpha Deck and his men saved her and her sister. Deck captures the brave Omega, Brett and snatches her away. Oh my gosh, the shower scene was hot! I loved how the two are drawn to each other and they form a sweet bond. The story of Deck and Bette is short, but so worth the time and such an easily read. It took me one evening to read the book. I do wish these stories for her new series were a little longer, because V.T. Bonds writes such strong, beautiful characters, but this time Bette was a little fighter and I just love her character! This book is worth five stars!

Despite the light plot there's plenty of emotion packed into this read.

Bette and her small family are forcibly removed from their boat and taken to a massive liner acting as a base of sorts for Deck. Bette is not happy about the current situation but she's doing her best given the circumstances. Deck's men have her sister somewhere on this liner and she'll do anything to keep Hera safe.

Her resistance and fierce nature only serve to endear her to Deck who, despite his methods, does want to give his new omega everything she could ever need. He has her where he wants her and while he could be a monster and force her to do what he wants, he does want her to be happy and to earn her favor.

This fast-paced story takes you on a sexy adventure. An omega is in the fight of her life when an alpha like no other comes along and she has no choice but to go with him. Little does she know that Deck will change her life in so many ways. This book maybe short but it packs a punch. In this new world everything has changed and only the fittest can survive. Life is hard and she is a survivor. I love that Deck enjoys the fight that she has and shows her that he wants her as she is. I loved seeing the way their relationship takes shape. This world is not full of romance but it is full of hot and hard loving alphas who long for that one omega made for them.

Laid by the Liner reminds me of old pirate films. There are raiders and, of course, Deck who is the model of a swashbuckling anti-hero. He makes his presence known, spectacularly. Bette, the omega, is endearing. I like that she protects her family, especially her younger sister. The characters are well penned and are in the end enjoyable.

There’s plenty of fire that ignites between the main characters. The relationship has no time to build but it does develop. It's almost a runaway romance. It could use a bit slower pace in that area. The story ends far too soon. The story needs much more length.

Loved that Omega Rage Defence, need to see that more often!! This one (Deck) seemed sweeter, still a brutal Alpha, but more lovey. 🪦R.I.P. to those buried at sea after fighting so hard to survive and keep family together🪦

His tiny tigress

I love these stories. This latest one has an omega, Bette, in hiding as she approaches her first heat. Raiders attack her home and she flies into an omega rampage protecting Hera, her sister. Deck’s gang arrives during the battle. And they dispense of the raiders, taking Hera and Bette captive. These books have strong alphas and omegas. One is searching for something and the other is hiding. I recommend tis book and the others in this series. Please read the caution about triggers.

I say it every time but VT Bonds books really are a palate cleanser and are guaranteed to get me out of a book slump.

Great story, great world development and a whole lot of spice.

another enjoyable read from this wet world

I think Bette’s backstory, which is mentioned in passing, plus the circumstances she finds herself in years later is a reminder just how cruel and brutal this new world is. But just when things go from dire to seemingly under control, she meets Deck. What promises to be a brutal and humiliating end is actually just the beginning of something sacred and beautiful. Once again, well done!

For the third book, VT Bonds gives us an anti-hero Alpha in her dystopian water world. The Liner saves our main character's sister but uses her to demand her instead. These are great fast paced omegaverse reads! Heavy in spice and set in such a fun, gritty setting, they really take the reader in. What's even better is they all come with a HEA to close them out. Highly recommend each and every one!

I love how in each new book in this series, more is revealed about the dystopian ocean world the books are set in. In this book we have Deck rescuing Bette and her family from their small fishing boat and taking them to his ship. As ever I wish the book was longer, but am fascinated by the original world the author has created.

The storyline was interesting and steamy. The whole water world theme is so unique. I like that the mfc is innocent and a small yet tough omega while the alpha is a hulking, protective male who is a leader among men. The whole power exchange between the characters A+, size difference A+, br@@ding, pregnancy A++, nesting A++, chase scene A+++,and knotting A++ I can’t wait for the next book!

This is another short story in this dystopian water world Omegaverse series.

Deck is an alpha on the prowl for an omega and Bette is a fiery omega who won’t make it easy if caught.

As with this book, characters, and series; you are always left wanting so much more. This shows you how wonderfully written these books are from this author, you always go back for more!
