Full disclosure; Enemy in the wire is the first Grave Diggers book I have read.
I am thrilled to have been given an advanced copy to read, as I now have a new favourite author!
Right from the start, Fritschi keeps the suspense, action and edgy team dynamics flowing smoothly.
I want more, and I will be getting the rest of the series to read as soon as I can.
A smooth and exciting read, suitable for new bloods like myself; and also for those lucky enough to have already been following the adventures of Jack Tate and his team.
Get yourself a copy - you won’t be disappointed!

I had the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Chris’s 7th volume of the Grave Diggers series, Enemy in the Wire. This book continues a great adventure series that spans many locations and situations. It is one of the few zombie post-apocalyptic series that do not solely focus on the battle with the undead. Original characters continue their adventure arc and new characters provide novel adventure. One thing for sure the Grave Diggers deliver well deserved Karma to the bad guys, repeatedly. This book is a real page turner, I finished the first read through in one day. You just want to keep going and see what happens next. Whether it is the current situation or a back story to fill in the character history each is told in a real dedication to fleshing out the story.
I can’t provide any spoilers but, just an aside. I get a lot of posts on my Facebook feed for new authors showcasing their latest novels. A few years ago I saw a post for the first volume of the Grave Diggers and purchased it on Amazon. I soon bought the next 5 volumes and read through them at a quick pace. So now I have Kindle unlimited and have a 4 page list of books I want to read. But previously this struck me as something I wanted to read enough to spend the money to buy it outright. You will not be disappointed with this series. Start book 1 now.

Fun read! The story has lots of action, some good humor, good characters. I'm not typically a big zombie apocalypse type of reader, but the Grave Diggers series uses it as more of a plot device than the driving force of the stories. The stories really revolve around ALL of the threats surrounding the rebuilding of the country, not just zombies. There are foreign actors and internal threats to be dealt with. Those threats have to get past the Grave Diggers to accomplish their evil deeds. And those Grave Diggers are a group of soldiers very talented in doing whatever is necessary to stop the threat. In this story they set out to stop a ship destined to unleash a horde of Vix on an unsuspecting city. The team encounters several obstacles along the way. The author builds suspense and creates excitement with his storytelling. You will end up cheering for this team of fighters.

There is so much packed into this latest Grave Diggers instalment. Jam-packed with action from start to finish. I appreciate the way that it is not all about Tate, every team member is given narrative time. Liked all the flashback scenes, they really add depth, and the pace and flow is really smooth.

I would have liked to learn a bit more about what went wrong on the Taft, and what happened to our very prepared, metal cylinder wearing stranger - we went from escaping the dock to a drifting hulk in the blink of an eye, but this is my only niggle. Will maybe pick up more details on this in a re-read!

A great addition to the Grave Diggers series. Chris has written another book I had trouble putting down. Delta rebooted meets the world of Mad Max and Night of the Living Dead. With a group of individuals selected for the separate skills, Sargent Major Jack Tate faces challenge after challenge. Read it and you will have trouble putting it down!

Enemy In The Wire (The Grave Diggers Book 7)

Just as action packed as the other 6 books. A totally different job for The Grave Diggers to deal with, once they’ve found each other!
Well worth the wait, and I’m impatient! If you haven’t read the other 6 I suggest you do, start at the beginning and learn all about them!
Soldiers and zombies. What more does a gal need!!!

Brilliant!

A really brilliant series. Following the Grave diggers.. The group had split up and hadn't seen each other for a while. In the hopes of throwing the ring of their track . They are back together and need to sink a ship belonging to the ring . They get side tracked and end up helping out a group of under cover soilders. Real page turner couldn't put it down.

I love any and all books about zombies and the apocalypse. Sometimes you trudge through some bad ones, and sometimes you come across gems like this. This was a fun read. The characters are grounded and the action is solid 👌

7th book in the series and I’m already waiting on the 8th.

Great read, finished all 7

Like all similar future calamities and how they are handled. Everyone has their own skeletons in
the closet. And how it haunted Tate.
