Argumento:

Iba corriendo a casa para pasar Navidad, pero la tormenta destruyó todos mis planes. Cuando me despierto y me encuentro con el corpulento hombre plateado, tal vez la tormenta no sea lo peor que me ha pasado. Sin embargo, estoy aquí, lejos de todo a lo que estoy acostumbrada y… no celebran la festividad para nada…

Entre el frío en la montaña y la tormenta que amenaza con matarme, ¿estoy a salvo? ¿Hay calidez para mí?



Mi humilde opinión:

Romance corto de ciencia ficción romántica con un alien rescatista plateado y una humana que estrella su nave en un mundo nevado.

Quería gustarme esta historia porque tenía todos los elementos para hacerla una historia acogedora y sexy sobre parejas destinadas alien/humana. Todo comenzó bien pero decae para mí porque rápidamente después de que Orcoi rescata a Hanna. Sin siquiera presentarse, en una escena que parecia de borrachos, tienen sexo sin sentido. Digo sin sentido porque no lo entendí y esperaba al menos que se explicara sus impulsos. Si era porque él había encontrado a su pareja, todo parecía robótico y sin sentimientos. Y empeoró porque ella comenzó a comportarse prepotente, quejándose y mirando mal el lugar donde él vivía, y Orcoi no parecía un macho que encontró a su pareja. No soporté cuando se pinchaban y hasta insultaban, sus actitudes me parecieron molestas.

No fue un romance con una pareja destinada que me hiciera sonreír o provocarme un buen sonrojo, lo peor es que no me dio unas buenas vibras navideñas.

This was a quick and enjoyable read that got down and dirty very fast but with neither of them ever feeling like this before. Hanna is on her way home after some Christmas shopping but gets caught in a snow storm but she thought she would be able to make but when there was a loud noise and then warning lights light up the controls and she new she was going to crash and die. But when she wakes there is a silver angel looking after her but it more than that she feels a strange attraction and a burning desire to be with him. Orcoi lives a quiet life in his mountain home. And is a mountain rescuer for the villiage he lives in but on this night he see’s a space flyer come crashing down up in the mountains and races into town to tell Sken the leader who trained him about what had happened and was heading up to hopefully save whoever was inside. When he arrives the pilot is missing and follows the path and finds a human female unconscious but still alive and he calls his friends to let them know that he is taking her to his place because they already closed to centre and his place is closer and his boss agreed but bring her to the doctors when he can. But the biggest shock is the way his body has reaction to the female that has his whole body wanting her but she is a human and he is alien. When Hanna wakes she cannot contain herself and needs to be with him and at first Orcoi is worried that she is injured and that why she is acting this way but when she challenges him he cannot stop the pull towards her and they have a hot and sizzle time together. But the next day there attraction is as burning hot as ever and he wonders if he has finally found his mate. How does it all turn out in the end get this book to find out.

Hannah is on her way home right before Christmas when the ship she's flying crashes in the snow. Orcoi is a big, silver alien and comes to her rescue. When he finds her, he feels a pull towards her and takes her home as is their custom, until the snow storm lessens and he can get her to the hospital to be checked out and he can write up his report of the rescue.

But where this could have been a great Christmas type romance ends when Hannah wakes up and pretty much sexually assaults him within moments of realizing she crashed and was saved. Her attitude towards him was completely too pushy, too whiney and her language was much too crass to be romantic or even erotic. There was a lot of sexual content but I don't usually mind that if it fits with a good story, this was just sex. I felt no real connection between them and her pushiness was over the top.

Once she got to the hospital to be checked out even she questions how she's been acting and wants to know if there's something wrong with her brain or a concussion. I was hoping the author would throw in something about mating pheromones or something like that to explain Hannah's attitude and actions but there was nothing of the sort. A real missed opportunity in my opinion, because that would have explained a lot and I might have forgiven her actions if that was the case.

I liked Orcoi except for the fact that he went a long with sleeping with Hannah moments after she wakes up after having just crashed her ship which was a total loss of her ship. Why didn't he think that was strange on her part or think maybe she had a concussion and wasn't acting right? It was weird and a strange way to make them get together. Everything happened too fast and I just didn't feel a real connection between them.

Missing

There was a lot missing from this story.
First off, it didn't feel like a Christmas story. The FMC mentioned Christmas twice in the beginning and then nothing is done until the end.
Second, the FMC was unlikable. She was pushy one minute and whiney the next. From when they first interact, she sexually assaults him and then she is sexually harassing him.
Third, there was not much warmth between the MCs. He was fighting her off, avoiding her or they were exchanging insults (75% of the book).
The writing style did not flow. The words "I" and "boring" were overused along with a word followed by (...). Does the author understand the purpose of the three dots!?!
This was a disappointing read.

Hannah and Orcoi

This is a good, well written, Alien/Human romance. Not much world building as all there is is snow and snow storms. Hannah is hurrying to get home for Christmas when she crashes. Orcoi Iives in a small village in the mountains. The people there rescue people. He feels an intense need to rescue Hannah. Read and learn what that means. The story is rusted in places but I enjoyed it.

Hanna has the most unusual reaction after being rescued by Orcoi.
Incredibly, she has never reacted like this to anyone before. She just can’t help it. All she wants to do is to jump his bones. And not surprisingly, he feels the same way. But she’s human and he’s anything but. Can this possibly work?

Poor Alien

When Hannah has a crash in the mountains she is rescued by a tall, handsome silver alien. He is immediately smitten with her but she acted like a spoiled, ungrateful brat in my opinion. They get their HEA and she seems to calm down as the story proceeds but I was not impressed with her character.

Alien Christmas rescue

Hanna crashes her spaceship into a snowy mountain on her way to Christmas family reunion in a blizzard like snowstorm.
Orcoi comes to her rescue as he is part of the designated rescue team. He is an alien, silver in colour and handsome. This story is full on sexy with honest but wary main characters. A nice easy read. 🩷

An entertaining story about Hanna who who crashes on her way home in a snow storm at Christmas and is rescued by Orcoi saves her and takes her home. He is a big silver alien who lives on the mountain as rescue worker. When she wakes up it turns into a total sex fest and they can't get their minds on anything else. Not much of a story but it is humorous to keep it going.

He's a first responder of the alien kind. She manages to crash her airship after being hit by a large object in a blizzard. He's first on site and saves her. She's fine but jumps his bones that evening after he takes her to his home. Fun novella.

A lot of foul language, bedroom scenes but nothing spicy about them. Extremely poor writing, no character development nor chemistry. Pass this one up, there are plenty of good smut books but this isn't one.

Enjoyable steamy Alien romance story that is about Hanna who is flying home for Christmas during a snowstorm when her ship malfunctions and crashes. Meanwhile Orcoi was looking through his window watching the snowstorm when he spots a ship dropping toward the ground. Being part of a rescue service, Orcoi summons his village. Following his gut feeling he goes into the forest and finds the ship empty. Looking around for the pilot he finds Hanna and takes her to his home. What occurs as they are cooped together exploring Christmas is an engaging story with likable characters in this fated mate Alien romance that I received a copy and volunteer to review.
