About the author

Aaron is an Australian author of children's books and artist who until the mid-2000s was also an actor. His award winning picture books include Pearl Barley and Charlie Parsley, The Ghost of Miss Annabel Spoon and the best-selling Pig the Pug.

In the field of acting, he is probably best known for his lead roles in two television dramedies, 1994's The Damnation of Harvey McHugh, for which he won an Australian Film Institute Award, and 2003's CrashBurn, before retiring from performance in 2005.

This was a nice wrap-up to a cute and funny graphic novel series. I did not expect it to complete in only 3 volumes. Usually these types of things are drawn out into many more. I read this with my 5-year-old and it was action-packed and kept us engaged. It was also a quick read as we got through it in under 30 minutes. This volume has less focus on lessons than the previous two, which focused on being true to yourself and beauty within. Ironically, the title of this one would lead you to believe there was more character development, but do not expect much of that in this one. All of that development was in the previous 2 volumes.

That was the series? I'm so confused. I figured the author would try to go at least half as long as the bad guys series. But this is the last book. I don't know. This was pretty mediocre for me. I feel like he could have done a couple more volumes in this series, but whatever it was kind of silly. Kids might like it. I don't know if the author ever decided to do a cat on the run And bad guy's crossover, I might be intrigued.

Μου αρέσει να ''χάνομαι'' μέσα στους κόσμους τους και να ξαναγίνομαι ένα μικρό παιδί που η ανεμελιά και η όποια αθωότητα έρχονται να συντροφεύσουν την ψυχή και τη σκέψη μου σε αυτό το μαγικό και φανταστικό ταξίδι! Δεν έχει περάσει πολύς καιρός από τότε που σας μίλησα για τα πρώτα δύο βιβλία της σειράς ''Μια ΓΑΤΑ κακά ΜΑΝΤΑΤΑ'' (Cat on the Run), που υπογράφει ο συγγραφέας Άαρον Μπλέιμπι (Aaron Blabey) τα οποία και λάτρεψα! Σήμερα, λοιπόν, επανέρχομαι με το τρίτο βιβλίο της σειράς, με τίτλο ''Μια γάτα κακά μαντάτα (Βιβλίο 3): Kρυφές πτυχές" (Cat on the Run, Episode 3, Hidden Layers!), το οποίο κυκλοφορεί στη χώρα μας από τις εκδόσεις Κλειδάριθμος, σε μετάφραση από τον κύριο Γιώργο Αγγελίδη.

Έχοντας διαβάσει και τα τρία βιβλία της σειράς, μπορώ να αντιληφθώ πλήρως τους λόγους που τα μικρά παιδιά θα ξετρελαθούν ερχόμενα σε επαφή με την ιστορία του. Ο συγγραφέας έχει έναν λόγο τόσο έξυπνο και χιουμοριστικό που την ίδια στιγμή θίγει με εύστοχο και κατανοητό τρόπο από τα παιδιά πολλά από τα κακώς κείμενα της εποχής μας εξάπτοντας τόσο τη δημιουργικότητα και τη φαντασία τους όσο και την όξυνση της κριτικής τους σκέψης και ικανότητας. Ναι, αγάπησα τον τρόπο που δείχνει το πώς η υπερβολική έκθεση στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης, τα αρνητικά αποτελέσματα με το να αποδεχόμαστε αφιλτράριστα όποια είδηση πέφτει μπροστά μας, καθώς και την πλύση εγκεφάλου που δεχόμαστε μικροί/ες και μεγάλοι/ες λόγω του ίντερνετ.

Όλα τα παραπάνω αποτυπώνονται πάνω στο βιβλίο υπό τη μορφή ενός από τα πιο ευχάριστα και ξεκαρδιστικά κόμικς που έχω διαβάσει έως και σήμερα και δε σας το κρύβω ότι θα μπορούσα να διαβάσω ακόμη περισσότερες περιπέτειες με πρωταγωνίστρια αυτή τη γάτα, όπως κι άλλα έργα του δημιουργού! Ένας χαριτωμένος αναγνωστικός ''εθισμός'' που ψυχαγωγεί και διδάσκει και φέρει μόνο θετικά πρόσημα. Μία σειρά βιβλίων που σας προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα!

Graphic Novel
This trilogy concludes with Princess Beautiful revealing how much more she is than a cute cat in videos. Together with her team, she defeats Mr. Cash using his own technology. Love the ending that hints of future adventures while wrapping up this story.
Blabey's sense of the ridiculous meshes well with his underlying points to think about in this series.

My reluctant readers started with being unwilling to read 5 pages of a chapter book. After introducing them to Aaron Blabey's books, they went from dreading reading, to asking when they could start the next book. They were THAT hooked. I don't care much for this series, but it makes it a lot easier to get kids excited about reading and that counts for something.

This is such a good series and I love reading it. It’s such a quick read. I really enjoy the story in this book and how it’s written as it shows you can do stuff when you put your mind to it. Chaotic and fun! You’ve got brain-washing, hacking and attempts to become president in this! Really live the colour palette in this - the use of colour has a proper impact. Great addition to the series!
