There’s nothing too new that I can say about these books. The color palette of the illustrations in this specific book was perfect for portraying Ireland, and I loved the facts about national culture that were included. I’ve never heard of hurling and had no idea that it was the national sport of Ireland before this book. The rich history of Ireland was very seamlessly included among the adventures and mystery.
My only issues was that many images seemed to come to the page late. I don’t know if it’s just been a long time since I read one of these, but I don’t ever remember the pictures being so frequently out of alignment with the text. I felt like a lot of images showed up on the page after the page with their corresponding words, if that makes any sense.
