Ingram is a shapeshifter mercenary can take on any shape. He is back from a job and decides he wanted a break from his dark side. He loves to draw and imagined working a regular nine to five job. His boss Erica comes up and reaches over his shoulder for the design, she is pressed against him, and he is unsure what to do.
Ingram is at work and the police are there, his boss Erica is being arrested for murder of the CEO Sullivan. He sneaks out and goes to security and sees if he can tell who did it. He reviews the tape and sees that a shapeshifter framed her. He helps her escape the office and tells her he will help her.
Ingram must decide how is he going to protect her and what can he tell her about his shapeshifter. He involves his friend Tasha and try and come up with a game plan. He finds who did the contract and it's a dangerous shifter.
All three of them are involved in a triangle and emotions involved. Ingram must decide how far he will go to protect her, and his feelings are involved.
The twist and turns taken to be able to clear Erica name. Will they get the happy ending or will he leave her to protect her.

Ingram has been alone, except for team ups with other operatives like him, for a long time. Finding Erica in need of help, while he tries to go work for a normal company, and take a “break,” from his real job, brings forth something protective in him. He finds that he’ll call in every favor to help this woman, because she deserves more than this crappy ending. In the end, Ingram will call on every favor he’s owed, & everyone he trusts to help him clear Erica’s name. A web of deception and lies will have to be cut through to find the truth, and this author weaves a tale of former assassins & thieves like sharp knives, to cut to the heart of the matter.

This book is full steam ahead! Heed trigger warnings, it's extra spicy. These sexy shifters can take on the appearance of anyone they choose, a benefit for the mercenary lifestyle most of them lead. When an innocent woman is framed for a murder committed by a shifter, the woman's co-worker, a shifter himself, is determined to prove her innocence. It's a dangerous game, and the odds of survival keep getting worse!

This book exceeded my expectations on every way. It was action packed and spicier than I thought it would be. Ingram risked it all for a sliver of normalcy and happiness that he saw in Erica. When Erica's life is in danger, Ingram does everything he can to help. He calls on old friends to help him achieve this but in the end he has to give up what he was fighting for the most.

I loved this story between Erica, Ingram and Tasha. Ingram is taking a break from being a mercenary when he meets Erica. Then he brings in Tasha. BOOM! Love triangle! Shapeshifters, suspense, thrills, murder, all of the feels and plenty of steam! This book has it all! Seriously could not put it down! And that ending! WHOA! I did NOT see that coming! You 100% have to read this book! It is soooooo worth it!!!

This intriguing story had me from the first page. Ingram is taking a break when he connects with Erica and boy does things take off when Tasha comes into play. this action-packed drama is filled with sizzling encounters between Tasha, Erica and Quinn and kept me all caught up in it from start to finish.
