It was a good 1st hand account of a girl's slide into alcoholism; however, I question her parents' early actions, like going out of town for the weekend and leaving a 14 or 15 y/o behind. It dragged out longer than I thought; it showed how some people can be functional alcoholics for years until it gets too much.
