This book describes different child-rearing practices and explains how they influence the moral development of children. It is designed to help parents by providing an easy to read presentation of practical suggestions, examples, theories, and principles.
Dr. Cherrington interviewed me for my marriage recommend several years ago and generously offered me a copy of his book when I asked about the title. I thought the book was okay. It was written by a professor, and the writing reflected that fact. There is a lot of good information here, some accessible, some not as easy to understand or use. A little too much like a textbook for me to recommend.
A really well researched book. It is so nice to have a book on parenting centered around the gospel. It had great real-life examples that helped me really see how I could apply it to my family. It isn't just a book on responsibility, it includes advice on many parenting aspects. This book was wonderful, and I would so highly recommend it to any parent.
